Pen Hill

The house fitted the bill to what we were looking for.

It’s a lovely house in a great location. The house offered everything we needed and was a few minutes walk from local amenities. I Will Definetly be booking this again next year

This house was in a convenient area and in a beautiful area.

The nature reserves and coastal path were a delight, we had a great holiday, sunshine was also a contributory factor. The house was spacious, light and very comfortable. Bronwen Mair

Lovely week in llantwit major House was roomy for family of 5 and well equipped Loved the kitchen diner area - light and airy Dining room smelt musty so didn’t use it Towels smelt a bit musty too so had to wash them - tried using the tumble drier but it would only do one towel at a time - eventually dried them outside Loved the local pubs and eateries Able to park on the road opposite everyday Would recommend

Great location and we did enjoy our stay,however not very clean.

Cobwebs in most rooms , very dusty surfaces and woodwork. Grass needed cutting

There was much of the home had not been cleaned especially in the kitchens and the bathrooms.

It was as pretty off putting to have to clean the place upon arrival.

Just back from an amazing week's holiday at Pen Hill.

First time in South Wales, but will certainly be back. Came for the Women's 6 Nations and the Gavin & Stacey Tour, both exceeded expectation! Property was also even better than we thought. The kitchen/diner/family room is brilliant, especially with the sunny weather and doors out onto the garden. Breakfasted in there most mornings. The dining room was well used too. Had no trouble parking opposite. Only a couple of tiny gripes, couldn't find oven gloves or a vegetable peeler in the otherwise excellently appointed kitchen. And the dish washer, although obviously new, wasn't installed properly, so couldn't use it (the beautiful garden view made washing up less of a chore though). Llantwit Major is a brilliant place, can particularly recommend The White Hart, the butchers and Rogers Chinese Takeaway.

Lovely house, great location but didn’t feel very clean!

Very dusty which wasn’t great with two toddlers exploring everywhere and bathrooms didn’t feel properly clean with used soap in the shower etc.

The cottage was beautiful and very well maintained.

The info about the bins was clear and informative as well which was great.

It was very dusty and webs.

The hoover stunk really bad. The TV didn't work as some issue with signal of wifi

A lovely house well equipped, with a garden to sit out in with shaded areas under apple trees.

Garage useful to store bikes. Lots of places to visit near by and eat.

I had a lovely stay and it's a lovely little town.

Would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Beautifully maintained property well equipped and kindly left some essentials on our arrival.

Couple of niggles the garden table was broken and no hair drier.

Pen Hill is a lovely property.

It felt really homely and cosy in the lounge. It is very well equipped. It is bit tired in places but that doesnt detract from it being a lovely place to stay. The previous occupants hadnt put their rubbish out as requested so we had to deal with that as well as our own. We had a nice Sunday lunch and an evening meal out at a nice pub in th town. It was a good place to stay. I was worried about parking but we managed to park easily every day in the road opposite.

Just a few niggles, there was no warning regarding number of steps inside the gate and up to the property, and then into the front door There was nowhere to hang coats especially in wet weather AND the local instructions for recycling are unclear, it would be nice if there was a recycling station in the kitchen area, we were having to leave in on the table until we went out the front, Also Food waste, a kitchen caddy would have been handy and biodegradable bags would have been helpful

We had a wonderful stay at Pen Hill seeing family and friends.

Great location, facilities, cleanliness etc . Not a single complaint- we hope to stay again!

Pen house is in the perfect place to holiday.

Everything is nearby and the village has everything you need. The house was well stocked and the welcome pack was great. If I had to say anything negative . Parking was a bit of an issue as the road opposite was always full. We did park on the corner where double yellow lines were a few times . If I could change anything it would be the bed. It’s very comfy but small. This is just me as I like a big bed. Thank you for our stay loved it .

Property was unclean Towels smelt House smelt musky Showers were disgraceful , the sink covers were full of hair and scum

Lovely home in a great location for enjoying historic Llantwit Major and exploring the Vale of Glamorgan

We really enjoyed our week in Penn Hill.

The house is spacious and very comfortable, with a pretty walled garden that gets plenty of sun. There was always parking space across the road. The kitchen is light and sunny, really well-equipped and very generously stocked-up. The location is great; it’s a five minute walk to the shops and you can go straight from the front door into the prettiest lanes of the Old Town, many of which lead up onto great cliff walks. A lovely holiday, thank you!

Good location, comfortable house.

The central heating timer setting requires attention, 1 hour on a low setting in the evening not adequate.

The key safe difficult to operate, especially with arthritic fingers.

Wonderful home from home; definitely pick this one!

All inside look new. Very spacious (more than on photos). Very confortable. It was a very good choice.

Penhill was a lovely family house.

Cosy but roomy.The mixture of modern and traditional was made the house. We look forward to staying there again. Only one problem the lack of a designated parking spot. It was a lovely gesture to find some basic groceries had been provided.
