Lovely location and really nice service .

Lin is very welcoming and kind. I enjoyed my stay with my family very much .

Cottage excellent with a great hot tub for relaxing and great dog friendly garden.

It could do with the garden tidying up a little bit and the cottage could do with a good spring clean in places but other than that excellent place to stay.

Accommodation was amazing along with Lynn who meet us at the door, lovely welcome pack , bread Welsh butter and cheese Walsh cakes wine and treats for our dog to.

Cottage is 5 minutes from the town of Ammanford 30 minutes from Swansea hour and 10 minutes Tenby hour and 20 Barry all by car, lovely walks with our dog close by, not much to do in Ammanford you will need to go out for days to see beautiful Wales, property was clean and conformable kitchen small but well stocked of everything you need , shower was amazing, garden areas very nice little over grow but still lovely very peaceful had a barbecue one evening and log fire a treat , weather beautiful 23 to 29 while there one wet day ! For Wales that's good ! Hot tub was used daily along with out side decking area ate all our meals out side, Lynn takes care of hot tub daily but used back gate so didn't really see her beds large and comfy, only very small issue Hot tub buttons are very worn you have to press really hard to get bubbles to go , but saying that they do go ! Had a fantastic wk and would recommend this Cottage

An absolutely wonderful stay as usual, Lin is a wonderful host, she comes around once a day to clean and check the hot tub, otherwise you don’t see her unless you need her.

The hot tub is gorgeous, we have been coming here for five years and have already booked for next year. A lovely cottage so relaxing with a welcome pack which is enough for supper and breakfast. Would highly recommend to everyone. Jackie Karen and Julie

This was our second stay at Crooked Hill Cottage, having first visited in 2023, and we were absolutely delighted to return.

Lin is a wonderful host. The thought, care and attention she puts into the cottage's comfort and facilities are exceptional. Everything has been carefully considered, and as before, we received a very warm welcome. The setting is wonderfully peaceful and tranquil, yet close enough to town to enjoy excellent amenities. It is also perfectly positioned as a gateway to some of the most beautiful mountains, beaches and countryside in the area. We honestly can't imagine anyone being disappointed with a stay here. We loved every moment of it and wouldn't hesitate to return again in the future.

The cottage is an absolute delight.

Hidden out of town, the cottage has a well stocked kitchen and sideboard, welcoming gifts, dog snacks,fresh flowers, a powerful shower,comfortable beds. Surrounded by mostly informal tiered garden and patios,we sat watching the sunset through the trees from the patio/hot tub, listening to the stream. Lin was a wonderful and friendly host, nothing was too much trouble. Thanks Lin

We had a lovely week at the cottage.

Very well equiped and very relaxing. The hot tub was so relaxing and easy to get in to. The cottage is well designed if you cannot climb stairs as the bathroom and bedroom are on the ground floor. Plenty of space and seating. Very private garden area. The owner Lin, is very welcoming and we were spoilt by her generousity. Lovely little hideaway for a peaceful and relaxing time.

Lin gave us a lovely warm welcome and extensive welsh welcome pack, she also provided us with recommendations for places to eat and visit during our stay.

The hot tub was wonderful to return to every evening and the cottage was warm and homely with everything we needed. 100% recommended!

Beautiful cottage.

A home from home, so well equipped, comfy beds and a pleasure to have stayed there. Lin was very helpful and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. Would definitely come back.

We liked it so much the first time we went that we went back.

Lin is a great host who welcomes you when you arrive, but leaves you to enjoy your break after that. We love how peaceful and quiet the location is, while only a short drive into town.

Crooked Hill was a lovely place to stay.

Really cosy lounge with the log burner and comfy sofas. Winter, so no opportunity to sit in the garden but nice space if it were warmer months. Hot tub a treat and great way to relax. Lin the owner was really friendly and helpful and we could just knock on her door if we needed to know anything. Lovely to have the dog with us too, who also enjoyed himself. There was a named storm while we were there but that didn’t stop us getting out and about and there are lots of lovely nice country walks within a short drive.

We loved our holiday here, we were welcomed by Lin who showed us around and made sure we were OK.

The location is perfect for us, remote so very peaceful, but close to town We relaxed in the cottage some days and other days we visted either the beach or national parks within 1/2hour drive

This cottage is absolutely beautiful!

We arrived and Lin (the host) came out to meet us and gave us the tour of the house, explaining how everything worked. She had left us an amazing welcome package that included Welsh butter and cheese, bread, milk, wine, dog treats, and the icing on the cake was a pumpkin with the carving tools (we stayed for halloween week) and sweets for our son! The beds were comfy, and everything was so clean and lovely! The hot tub was amazing! A good location to get to places from and lots of good local shops including, Tesco, lidl, and in the town is a home bargains. 100% recommend this gorgeous place! Lin is very friendly and available if you need her, we loved our stay!

The beds are just so comfortable, everything has been though about to ensure a comfortable stay and the hot tub after a days walking with our 2 dogs was the icing on the cake. We shall certainly be returning!

Close to activities, beautiful cottage with added bonus of a hot tub which was well maintained. Lovely scenery, such a peaceful area. Lin was lovely and gave total privacy during our stay. Lin gave a very thoughtful welcome pack with treats for the kids, ourselves and the dog! Bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was so well thought out and provided. Will definately return!

This was our second stay at Crooked Cottage we absolutely love it.

Lyn is a great host and really helpful. Everything you need is in the cottage for dogs and humans and it was really clean and fresh on our arrival. The location is perfect for a get away from it all break. Great walks from the cottage or just a short drive away beach and countryside lovely hot tub to come back to. Wasn't cold enough for the log burner this stay. Definitely our happy place, we will definitely book again.

My wife and I have just spent a wonderful week at Crooked Hill Cottage.

The property owner had very thoughtfully provided a welcome pack for us. The property itself was very well equipped, clean, warm and comfortable. It is set in lovely countryside and we lacked for nothing. A big sincere thank you - we really appreciated everything.

It was spotless throughout with quality furnishings. The hot tub was great after a day exploring. The owners are very friendly but leave you in complete privacy. The welcome pack provided was very nice with local produce. We will definitely look to book again in the future.

We have Just had a lovely family holiday me my husband,daughter and our 2 dogs.

Lin was so welcoming and the hamper she provided was really nice even had dog treats. The hot tub was amazing it is so quiet and peaceful here and you are only five minutes from the town throughly enjoyed our stay.

If you want peace and relaxation then this is the place to go.

The jaccuzzi is beautiful and well maintained every day by the host. The surroundings are lovely, birds and trees and quiet. Beds are super comfortable and very spacious bedrooms. Very easy to get to Ammonford Cross hands llandilo swansea and carmarthen. Thank you for a lovely stay. Sally

Amazing cottage we stayed here for 7nights.

The cottage has everything you could need - log burner and hot tub are also amazing! Bed was also very comfortable and kitchen has everything you could need! Very thoughtful welcome back also which was great fully received - Even some treats for the dog ! Even though the owners are just next door the cottage feels very private however they are right there if you have any queries! We took our border collie and the garden was secure for him to roam whilst we enjoyed a relax in the hot tub! Would highly recommend this cottage - feels very secluded however only a short drive to Tesco and local shops. We had lovely days out in Tenby, Saundersfoot, burry port llanstefan and ferry side. The only downside was having to come home! We will Definately be returning to this beautiful little cottage.

Crooked cottage is the perfect place to explore South Wales you can easily reach lovely beaches, beautiful countryside, waterfalls, rivers and hills.

We had a great time with our dog and we were made to feel very welcome and we definitely felt at home for our week. The cottage is amazing with everything you would need, it was clean and bedding smelled lovely. The log burner and hot tub just topped it off and we even had a sprinkling of snow. So much more we want to explore I will definitely book again. Thank you

Perfect cottage stay away, really felt like home, my diabetic almost blind dog was settled in straight away and the amount of safety gates around was brilliant, I even though your living attached to the owners property privacy is 100%!

Beautiful little cottage in a stunning part of the world (the pics don't do it justice).

We had everything we needed for a relaxing and stress free week. The welcome pack (bottle of wine, bread, eggs, milk, Welsh tea cakes and dog treats) for us and our dog Buddy was greatly appreciated. We used the lovely comfortable bed (there are two double beds) on the first floor. It was very comfortable and the bedding smelled lovely and fresh. Due to it being February the log burner was very much appreciated and used every night, even though the cottage was warm throughout. It was the perfect place to walk the dog and visit other places of interest. There is also local shops and eateries nearby if needed. The icing on the cake was the hot tub, which we used throughout our stay and was the perfect way to relax at the end of the day. Lin and Keith are great hosts and were easily contactable if needed, but never intruded on our privacy. Thank you both for a great stay and we will definitely return. Rosetta and Andrew x

We have just returned from a lovely holiday at Crooked Hill Cottage.

We are a family with two young children and a puppy. The cottage had everything we needed and was just gorgeous. All the furnishings are high quality, the beds are the comfiest I've ever slept in and the hot tub was fantastic

This is our 2nd visit to Crooked Hill Cottage.

We love it! Lin and Keith are such wonderful hosts. We were 2 adults with a dog for 7 night stay. Welcome pack including essentials, bread, milk, cheese, eggs and butter. Lovely treat of wine and welshcakes. All Welsh produce! Then the dog treats such a lovely touch. We would take the dog out for the majority of the day. Round the back of property there is a hot/cold water taps which makes showering the dog so easy! Then when coming back in the cottage the heating comes on at certain times of the day which was perfect for coming back after wintery cold walks. The hot tub is a great hit at the end of the day too to unwind and soak the sore muscles from walking. I could go on and on all day but to sum it up. The great thing about staying in Crooked Hill is that Lin and Keith have literally thought of everything you would need to make your stay here as comfortable as possible. Which makes you want to come back time and time again!

We had a wonderful stay at Crooked Hill Cottage, and it was a lovely surprise to see the cottage had been decorated for Christmas.

The cottage is really well equipped, the beds are luxuriously comfortable and the hot tub and log burner are a real treat! The owners live next door and are so friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. It's also nice that the cottage feels so private due to the position of the garden and hot tub, you are not overlooked at all. The garden is secure for dogs, although there is a stone wall with a long drop down to a stream, so we did have to watch that they weren't going to do anything daft! This is the best cottage we've stayed in, thank you for such a brilliant Christmas getaway, and hopefully we'll return sometime!

. Lyn gave us a friendly welcome & the welcome pack was great, the flowers were so pretty. We really enjoyed the hot tub, so handy being just outside the bedroom door as we were there in November.. The nights it rained we sat in front of the fire which was lovely. We would definitely stay there if we go the Carmarthenshire again

The cottage is amazing in its own right.

Never stayed any where so dog friendly this is why we have been twice this year. Lin is always on hand if there is problem. Not that we we had any problems. 5 stars is not enough for this cottage.

Lin was great when we arrived showingvus everything we needed to know and although next door it was a very private dwelling. Beds were comfy, shower good, hot tub great. Kitchen was small but well equipped. The surrounding areas were beautiful, stunning beaches and plenty to see. Would reccomend!

This is truly a hidden gem, which has been lovingly restored and decorated to a high standard.

Amazing welcome pack .

The owners were extremely helpful as we had a poorly pooch and Lyn provided the necessary vets numbers . The hot tub was enjoyed by my daughter on several occasions .A very comfortable home from home .

We have stayed at crooked cottage twice now and have always found it superb, the owners are very approachable and have always made us very welcome.

Love the hot tub, especially after our walks with the dogs. The dogs also love the place and feel at home there. We have made it a regular holiday choice.

My husband and I had the most wonderful week at Crooked Hill Cottage!

A tad tricky to locate (signage on turning to property could be enhanced) and was grateful we were still travelling in the daylight, having said that you are in the midst of the most idyllic countryside! We resorted to using the 3 little words app successfully! On arrival we were given a very warm welcome by Lin the owner who showed us around the most quaint, cosy (but spacious) and clean cottage we have ever stayed at! The generous welcome pack which included fresh eggs, chocs, wine - to name but a few items, was gratefully received. The beds were super comfy, and the added bonus of the hot tub was wonderful to ease those aches after a day out. We managed a few trips out, amongst them Laugharne which is not only a must for Dylan Thomas fans but it’s vista’s are incredible. The immediate area surrounding the cottage has plenty of lovely parks and trails to stretch one’s legs! All in all, a fabulous stay in a beautiful part of Wales and we will definitely return to this amazing cottage!!!

We had a wonderful week’s stay at Crooked cottage.

The owners Lin & Keith have thought of everything. We arrived to fresh eggs, milk, bread, butter, Welsh cakes and a bottle of wine. The hot tub was very welcoming after our days out and about, and for star gazing. We didn’t eat locally, made use of the lovely restaurants in the Mumbles, and when were out and about. We would definitely recommend this cottage, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful cottage everything was there that you could possibly need, and much much more.

The hosts were lovely people and their daughters too. We have already booked for next year, Bobby our dog loved the place he was really relaxed there. The welcome package was much appreciated and Bobby loved his treats. What can I say about the hot tub that Lin cleaned every day for us just the icing on the cake. Just had a week at Crooked hill cottage what a little gem Lin was very welcoming and on hand if needed .

We have stayed at many similar properties but this was by far the most well equipped with absolutely everything we needed there and the welcome pack was fantastic especiallythe delicious eggs. Lots of places outside to sit and enjoy the weather either by the bbq or hot tub .Lovely fluffy towels it was home from home . We didn't use the local pub but went to Pembrey Country Park one day and stopped at The Stradey Arms Llanelli for a meal stunning home cooked food also had a delivery from Iocal Chinese Ling Di Long . Anyone staying here you are in for a treat ..

We loved our stay at the cottage, there was just a couple of things that would have been nice to have been made clearer.

On th advert it says dogs welcome, but after booking and then receiving the email it turns out there were parts of the cottage the dogs were no allowed, I think this should be made clearer in the original advert as onced booked you cannot get a refund. It was also a shame that the dogs didn't really have a grassy area to be in when om the garden. The hot tub was lovely and the actual cottage was lovely but a clearer description would have been helpful. Lin was a lovely host.

The cottage wells beautiful.

It had everything we needed including champagne glasses!! The owners were lovely and even though they lived next door they were not at all intrusive. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay to relax and see some beautiful welsh countryside.

This is an excellent property in a quiet and tranquil location.

It is extremely well equipped to a very high standard and beautifully decorated. The owners have thought of everything a visitor might need. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the hot tub is a delight. The kitchen is great with all mod cons. The owners are very helpful whilst offering privacy. This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in.

This cottage is just lovely.

Furnished to a very high standard with fantastic amenities. The outside area is delightful and the hot tub was very well maintained and just so relaxing. The welcome pack provided was brilliant with lots of treats for everyone - even our dog! The freshly laid eggs included were a taste sensation and the owners were lovely too. This place is a gem and we cannot wait to go back.

04/02/22-07/02/22 We had the most wonderful weekend at Crooked cottage, everything was perfect.

Lin greeted us at the gate and showed us around her beautiful cottage, Lin made sure we knew where everything was and how everything worked so that we had to waste no time looking for anything. Lin made it clear that if there was anything at all we needed she would be there, but also that she would be there only if there was as not to disturb us. The hot tub and log burner was absolutely amazing and added that final touch to an already gorgeous stay. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but the cottage can be a short car journey from plenty of local sights and beaches. We will be coming back. Amazing place to stay.

Great location for exploring the local area. The propery had everything we needed and more. It was incredibly spacious and the hot tub was a dream. Highly recommend staying here to anyone thinking about a visit.

Spent a lovely new year week at this comfortable cottage.

It is very well equipped and the hosts have thought of everything you could need. It is in a quiet location yet the local town is only 3 mins away by car. A very restful break, hot tub was wonderful after a long walk . Would definitely stay here again- hosts very welcoming .

Perfectly remote location but close enough to Ammanford.

Excellent property as a base for hiking or seeing Swansea.

Then peacefulness of the accommodation helped us with 2 days of bad weather which didn't dampen our time hear. Very warm welcome and feels so secure and so abandoned from city life. If you need to properly get away from real life then this is the place. With the benefit of Ammanford just a walk pr stones throw away. You are only 5 mins from tesco but a million mile away at the same time. Dogs loved it too

We have just returned from a week's stay at Crooked Hill Cottage.

We were aware from the photos how nice it was but the reality was so much better. Very spacious and luxurious with everything you could need for a perfect relaxing break and more. The hosts Lin and Keith were very welcoming and was on hand to help with anything we needed whilst allowing us to get on with whatever we were doing. An overall exceptional break and we would certainly recommend this cottage.

Cottage was clean, tidy & peaceful. Kitchen kitted out with everything you could possibly think of. Beds so comfortable. Such a treat to be able to relax in the hot tub after being on long walks. Lin and Keith we’re lovely and welcoming but not imposing. Lovely welcome pack of Welsh treats, fresh eggs, butter, milk, bread, wine and other little bits. Lovely hot tub outside and wood burner inside.

It was a fantastic stay.

The hosts were there ready on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. The welcome hamper was greatly welcomed and the logs ready to use made getting a fire going easy. would happily stay here again

Crooked Hill Cottage is simply stunning with every you could need and more.

Lin was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. And the hot tub was amazing!

Well where do I start?

This lovely warm home was the best holiday I’ve ever had! Me and my family stayed for a week and it was phenomenal! Everything was perfect right down to the last details. Stunning views. Gorgeous house. Very friendly people. Lin & Keith were so helpful and friendly. My partner proposed and it was just the perfect ending to our family holiday. Will definitely be returning next year!! Highly recommend. Look forward to going again.

When we arrived we were greeted by Lyn who showed us round the cottage . There was an astounding welcome pack which included dog treats for our little dog , Cassie . The cottage was beautiful , comfortable, and immaculate. The hot tub was a bonus and was enjoyed by the three of us . A place for piece and quiet , solitude and natural beauty. Our hosts were so thoughtful, friendly and caring . We could not have asked for more consideration that Lyn and Keith showed us .

We had a week at the cottage (16-23rd March 2020).

It was absolutely beautiful from the decor and facilities available, to the hot tub and stream running through the garden. Central to where I could go and visit my late nans house and where my cousins laid to rest. Minutes from ammonford but seems a world away, so quiet and relaxing. Went to mumbles, Pembrey and many other places. Thank you lin for the experience. Would 100% come back again x

The house is decorated with quality wood floors, doors and furnishings which was appreciated.

The hot tub was fantastic on the deck and the woodburner/stove was very efficient. The kitchen is quite small, but you plan round it, and very well equipped. The owners are very helpful and dog tolerant, having their own, which made the whole stay relaxing. Not far from Ammanford and supermarkets but far enough to feel out in the country. We'd definitely visit again in the summer to enjoy the well equipped outside area and the beautiful scenery. Thanks for a lovely week Claire and Mark

Cottage was everything we hoped for and more.

Warm welcome on arrival including a welcome pack. Cottage was immaculately clean Beds and sofas were very comfy Kitchen compact but everything you could ever need in there. Hot tub was basic but very private and was enjoyed every day. Only negative was poor internet connection which hosts are waiting for BT to improve .

The property is in a very quiet area sitting above Ammanford, very cosy, warm and comfortable.

Welcome pack was a very nice touch with bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, eggs, bottle of wine and some welch cakes and waffles. Hot tub was lovely. I would definitely recommend this property and would like to visit again in a different season.

Although a little difficult to find in the small lane, especially in the dark the cottage was very comfortable.

All comforts were catered for and the welcome pack of milk, bread, wine, eggs, butter etc was very much appreciated. A great holiday cottage.

Wonderful hosts. Great welcome pack. I only ask myself one question when staying or visiting anywhere - would I go again? The answer in this case is a resounding yes. Thoroughly recommended.

The cottage was perfect, location was lovely and the hosts were excellent.

As they said “we’re here if you need us but not if you don’t”. Very unobtrusive but very responsive when we had any queries and also with a surprise birthday bottle of prosecco! We enjoyed everything the cottage had to offer and spent many a lazy evening relaxing in the hot tub. Thank you Lin and Keith!

The welcome pack was one of the best we’ve ever received, the property was newly refurbished and very comfortable, and the hot tub was superb!

The property was excellently located for dog walks either straight out of the property or within a short drive - Ammanford has lots of shops and 2 supermarkets close by. We will definitely be looking to book again next year.

My husband and I had an amazing week at the crooked cottage, the place was like a five star hotel, Lynne and Keith were amazing and told us lots of interesting places to visit.

The weather was amazing and to top it all the hot tub was awesome . Would definitely recommend this place. Will definitely go there back again . Mr and Mrs Mendez

What an amazing place, the hosts Lyn & Keith were so friendly and helpful.

The cottage is just stunning with so much thought gone into it. It is cozy, comfortable and with every possible requirement fulfilled. We booked for a week next year within a couple of hours of arrival. Would not hesitate to recommend the cottage, definitely worth booking.

The cottage was amazing with the log burner, awsome hot tub and secluded rural location in the hills overlooking Ammanford town. After a long days walking over the Breacon Beacons, it was an absolute luxury to go back and relax at crooked hill cottage. Lots to see & do in south Wales, will definitely be back for more holiday at this gem of a cottage to explore more of South Wales. Great time had by the Gaston family

Lin and Keith (owners) were so lovely!

They have thought about everything with this cottage. From kitchen essentials to The cottage welcome information folder! Not forgetting their little welcome pack! Lovely touches. Cottage is in prestine condition, a truely beautiful place. Tesco and Lidl is literally 5 minutes down the road. Beautiful scenery 5 minutes away, you can just drive through or park up and admire the views. (windmills) Will definetly be returning. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Thank you so much for an amazing weekend.

Cottage has been wonderfully done and everything there and more you could ever need.

Fluffy white think towels, quality bedding, the most comfortable beds ever! Views of beautiful countryside all around. Owners Lin and Keith very helpful and friendly they have done a wonderful job on this newly refurbished cottage. The hot tub was checked daily and chemicals added. The hot tub was amazing it’s huge with very powerful jets and totally private. Star watching at night is a must from there! Also a lovely sitting area with fire pit and bbq. Loads to do in the area, or sit back and relax choice is yours. Totally dog friendly and ours loved it here! The welcome pack has been well thought out. It has everything you need to get you started, till you venture out to the Tesco 10 minutes away. Can’t recommend this cottage highly enough. We will be returning and not often do we go back to the same place again.

Spent a wonderful weekend in a very comfortable cottage.

The hosts were lovely, and the bottle of Prosecco added to our welcome pack to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary was a lovely touch. And the hot tub was very well used! We were looking for a relaxing weekend, and this was the ideal place to spend it.
