Gwynfryn

We had a fabulous stay here during February half term.

Location was great as well as the information on things to do in the area. The house was perfect for our family of 5, a real home from home with everything we needed. The whole house was done to a fantastic level and we hope to be back soon!

Gwynfryn was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed.

The house has been modernised to a high standard and the amenities were really comprehensive. Loads of cutlery crockery and cooking utensils. The instructions for hot water and heating were clear and ensured lovely hot showers and baths and a warm environment. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a nice touch. TV includes the basic Sky package and was available in several rooms although we only used the one in the front room while sitting on a comfortable L-shaped sofa. We used the house as a base to explore the Gower and the coast across the Loughor past Llanelli. It was idealy positioned. We liked the Paprika Indian takeaway and the Fish & Chips in the village, but advise avoiding the Thai takeaway in Gorseinon.

Wonderful accommodation.

Roomy yet cosy,warm and comfortable. Well equipped, The television and all its channels was so welcome particularly in the dark wet evenings. Could not fault the property,though a hairdryer would have been useful. Best to park on the road outside.

Decoration, furnishing and equipment all excellent. Highly recommended.

The location of the property was great for exploring the The Gower.

The inside of the house was really nice, modern & clean decoration and everything needed. However, the outside is in the process of having some upgrades and there were lots of bits of wood and unfinished decking/fence just in the driveway. The fence wasn't an issue with our dogs but could be a problem if you have a small dog that could get underneath. One of our dogs also found a partly used tube of solvent in the garden which luckily we got off them before anything happened.

This was our second visit to Gwynfryn and were as happy as the first visit.

The cottage is lovely like a home from home situated in a prime position on the Gower. The locals in the pub which is only 3 minutes walk away were very welcoming and most wanted to where we were from. We are now going to make our third visit next year.

Gwynfryn beautiful house, above and beyond with facilities etc.

We stayed in the extreme heat and three large fans where delivered. in all of Sykes properties we have stayed in over 20ish years this is one that stands out.

Very comfortable and well equipped holiday property.

Lovely cottage in great location for exploring Gower peninsular and beyond into Carmarthenshire.

Comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. Perfect for our group of three adults, and equally suitable for a family with young children.

We left nots in the guest book .

Would like to say did our best with the recycling but was not made clear what backs were for what. Apart from that all was good.

We regularly visit family in Swansea and this is one of the best properties we have stayed in.

I'm sure we will be back.

What a find.

Lovely house with great facilities which made our stay a pleasure from the minute we walked in. Great location with most of the Gower accessible in around 25 mins. Such wonderful beaches in easy reach. We hope to be back very soon!

The property is in a good location and is warm, comfortable and well furnished with everything you would need for a great stay.

This is an excellent property.

Do not be fooled by the outside appearance, which is not quite finished, as inside is excellently furnished and well stocked, very clean and with everything needed for a stay there. We would highly recommend it and hope to return in the future. The owners were very helpful and we had a lovely stay there.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this well equipped, warm and cosy cottage. We were visiting family over Christmas and we were delighted to be staying in this cottage which really did meet and exceed our expectations.

Lovely clean comfortable and well equipped cottage - great base for exploring the Gower.

Small supermarket, butchers , fish and chip shop, pub etc locally. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay with all of Gower within easy reach.

Ideal for trying out your parking skills, but don't worry about it! Will return if family cicumstances allow.

The cottage exceeded our expectations.

Very comfortable throughout, we were really able to relax. The balcony was a wonderful idea, and we couldn't get tired of the view, even in the rain. The owners of the cottage welcomed us and we're responsive to one concern. Have already recommended it! One thing we as "tourists" would have liked is a hint or two as where to go, the lonely planet book was vague at best. We found our way round, but fear we might have missed some hidden gem.

Very modern, clean, comfortable property.

There was plenty of room for 4 adults, especially having the extra room downstairs. The balcony was also lovely in the sunshine. We explored the area, which had some beautiful beaches and a bit further afield, we had a lovely waterfall walk.

Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Short drive to all the beautiful areas of Gower. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful house with everything we needed for our stay.

Gwynfryn was a lovely tastefully renovated house, with all the comforts of home.

The kitchen was well equipped with up to date appliances and plenty of cooking utensils and crockery. Three TVs with Sky included, an unexpected bonus. Comfy beds, ample bedding and two bathrooms. The garden still needs a bit of attention but I'm sure this will eventually be up to the same standard as the rest of the property. We have been holidaying in self catering accommodation for many many years and this is definitely one of the best. Cannot recommend it enough. The village of Penclawd is very well positioned for touring the Gower peninsula. It has a very well equipped supermarket, two butchers, two pubs (only one serves food), hairdressers, fish and chip shop and Indian takeaway plus a brand new children's playground. There are beautiful views over the estuary and walks along it.

The weather was amazing, the people so welcoming and friendly, and the location perfect. Last, but by no means least, the cottage is beautifully presented and decorated. We were bowled over with the quality and obvious care taken to ensure your guests are comfortable. I would even say that the photos on Sykes do not do it justice.

Beautifully appointed cottage with loads of room for the 5 of us who stayed.

Kitchen well equipped (needs a potato peeler and a grater to make it perfect!) Beds super comfy and good to have a second sitting area. Generous tv provision. Heating works very well. Great having an entrance way where you can clean the dog, hang coats and leave boots. Also fab having a second fridge - we stayed over Christmas so more food than normal! We had a great stay in spite of pretty awful weather. Lots of space to eat drink and be merry!
