Had a lovely stay in the Dairy over the New Year.

Very well equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Warm and cosy. Lovely views! Would love to return in the summer months.

Lovely property in great location .

We had a fantastic few days in this cosy and comfortable property which is very well situated for exploring both the North and South Gower beaches and countryside . Very helpful owner , and we hope to return . Many thanks

Beautiful location, accommodation was comfortable, warm and clean.

However property in need of some TLC, bathroom a little bit mouldy, electric shower hard to get right temperatures and taps and radiators chrome pealing & rusty. Outside bin area needs a revamp as rotting. Bed comfortable. Overall we only slept in the cottage, we didn’t cook or stay long so suited our needs.

Gwyn always supportive and friendly.

The cottage was very clean, well equipped, and warm. The host Gwen was close by, and checked we had all we needed. The small welcome pack was much appreciated.

There are lots of places to eat nearby but you do need a car & some of the lanes are quite narrow in places but have passing places. We would happily stay here again xx

The accommodation was really clean and the kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. It was a lovely change from the usual '4 of everything' which is never enough. Our host, Gwyn was really responsive to any queries and was friendly and helpful. Definitely want to return.

The accommodation is well equipped, clean, in good order and in a lovely location.

The owner is extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble for her. This was our fourth stay and we are looking forward to the next one.

The Dairy was a very cosy warm property.

We had a very warm welcome from the owner who called by to ask if everything was OK for us. Very happy for us to walk our dog down the lane towards her property. Very easy to find, great views. Extremely quite, we would definitely stay again.

We loved the rural surroundings and the house was wonderful, warm, snug and cosy something out of novel like Wuthering Heights.

Our first visit to the Gower and the Dairy, we enjoyed it very much in spite of the weather not being brilliant.

The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were given a very warm welcome by Gwyneth and the views from the cottage were simply breathtaking.

Gwyn was very welcoming and helpful when we arrived and made sure we had all we needed for our stay.

The owner even left us a few extras such as welsh cakes and fruit shoots which was greatly appreciated. She was very friendly and came to check in on us after some strong winds. The cottage was well maintained with beautiful countryside views.

Our stay at the Dairy was superb.

The host Mrs Rees could not have been more helpful, advising us of where to visit and eat out in the evenings- we also had a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and Welsh Cakes on arrival! The Dairy was in a beautiful location on the Moor with stunning views on all sides . It was so peaceful and tranquil sitting out in the evenings in the sunshine. The beaches at Rhossili and Oxwich Bay were a short drive away. Absolutely stunning with miles of golden sand and very dog friendly. We could not fault our stay at the Dairy and hope to return at some point. A big thank you to the host for her kind and friendly approach and helping to make our stay a memorable one!

Owner was waiting when we arrived.

Very pleasant. She informed us that there was a problem with Wi Fi and that next door had reported ants. Ant powder and ant traps had been spread outside the properties. Later we had ants too so nothing could be left in the kitchen area. Whoever checked the property for your company, it is definitely NOT suitable for 4 adults. In all the holiday cottages that we have stayed-in, why are there always so many odd glasses?. It is a good job that there were only 2 persons, as there were only 2 wine glasses, 2 small flutes, 1 tumbler, 1 small glass and several pint glasses? The cottage owners need to up their game given the prices they charge. On a positive note the owner did pop and check that we were OK? as the temperatures dropped and asked if wer need to heating turned on? Michael

Comfortable accommodation which more than met my needs .

Loved the peace and quiet and "away from it all" feeling. Loved the birdsong and wildflowers all around but most of all the welcome I received from my landlady and her family made the holiday very special . Mrs. Rees was exceptionally helpful and thoughtful throughout. Polly .

Gwyn was a wonderful host, and we really enjoyed our stay.

She was so friendly and attentive, and provided a great welcome package of tea, coffee and Welsh cakes. The cottage was warm and cosy, and had everything you needed. It’s tucked away on a quiet farm, and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. (We have a dog and the cottage is very dog friendly, which really allowed us to relax!) It’s a great location with all the top tourist spots within a short drive or even walk away. We loved our stay and will be booking again next year!

Cottage was lovely and clean.

The owner was amazingly friendly and helpful - and even posted my son's hat to us after we left it behind. Beautiful views across the stunning landscape, and very dog friendly.

We had a really enjoyable holiday in the Dairy.

Gwyn was a perfect host and gave us a very warm welcome. She had provided welsh cakes and milk as well as tea and coffee. The cottage was cosy, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Gwyn popped in to see us and check if we needed anything several times. The location of the Dairy was just right for exploring the local beaches and we enjoyed a different walk every day. We would recommend staying there to our family and friends. Many thanks to Gwyn for making our stay so enjoyable.

We had a very comfortable relaxing stay at the dairy.

Gwyn the owner regularly checked we were happy. She is very thoughtful. Everything was as listed when booking. The dairy has a well equipped kitchen for a holiday cottage. It is warm, quiet and comfortable perfect for relaxing and recharging the batteries. I note another review commented on noise, we did not experience this, yes the floorboards creak a bit but this is an old barn and that's part of the charm. I was holidaying with my elderly parent, she found the dairy accessible throughout. A comment in another review mentions towels. We found them soft, good quality and what they are listed as... a bath towel. The dairy was a great well priced base for exploring the beautiful Gower. We recommend the dairy. Beautiful views and peace and quiet. Great walking opportunities and stunning coastline. Would highly recommend. Gwyn was brilliant so welcoming and popped in a couple of times to make sure we were ok. Had a fantastic week.

Just returned from 1 weeks holiday at the Dairy.

Gwyneth could not have been more helpful. Everything we needed was provided in the accomodation. The cottage was just as pictured very comfy and toasty warm. Location is ideal & we were fortunate with the weather for the first few days and managed to travel all around the beautiful Gower. Not the first time we have visited this part of Wales and certainly not the last. Highly recommended.

Everything you need for a short stay. Clean and compact. Owner is very welcoming. Tea , coffee, milk and Welsh cakes provided! Short drive to the beach. In a very pretty area with lovely views.

The cottage was based on a farm and gave us time to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery that the Gower is renowned. I personally would like to thank Mrs Rees. This is truly an excellent holiday cottage.

A lovely cottage to come back to after being out all day.

Everything you need in the kitchen and everything clean. A very friendly owner who could not have done more to make sure that everything was ok and if we needed anything else.

The Dairy was an amazing place to stay for our long weekend enjoying the Gower.

Everything at the accommodation was as described, clean and tidy, and Gwyn was an excellent host who was one of the nicest people you could meet, was super helpful, and has a beautiful Welsh accent. If we return we would love to come back here again, and highly recommend it for all visitors.

Lovely cottage in a convenient location!

Gwynneth was an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble.

We had a brilliant two weeks here.

The cottage is in a very quiet and peaceful setting with stunning views. It is handy for all parts of the Gower and beyond. We were made very welcome by the owner and everything ran smoothly.

It was our first visit to the Gower and it was amazing.

As usual we had a great welcome from Gwynedd and she was around during our stay in case of anything untoward, which didn't happen but was good to know.

The cottage is extremely comfortable and well resourced. I am more disabled since our stay last year and still able to access the cottage very well. Our dog also found everything very comfortable.

Everything was just as advertized, with plenty of cookware to be a home.

Lovely stay once again with Gwyneth.

Surroundings are magical, great for dog walks and just breathing in fresh air. Gwyneth is a wonderful host and makes your stay very special.

Gwyn and Sykes couldn't have been more helpful.

My initial booking had to be cancelled due to the storm in February and they made it really easy for me to rebook in the summer. Gwyn was really helpful and welcoming during our stay. She has the wonderful knack as a host of giving as much information and support as you need, but equally giving you your space and privacy. She gave us good tips about where to go and what to do in Gower. The cottage is great. Well-equipped, tranquil and comfortable. Comfy beds, sofas, decent shower and washing machine. Well equipped kitchen with all the bits and bobs you need for self catering. All appliances and shower worked well, no niggly annoying things. A great base to explore the Gower as well, as it's quite central. A lovely view as well from the cottage patio.

As usual, Gwyneth gave us a very warm welcome and was very helpful.

Everything was comfortable and clean and we had a lovely time inspite of the weather! We will be back in September.

Although we had an issue with water, the owner was very supportive throughout in trying to help with liaising with the Water Company.

A lovely quiet cottage on a very rural isolated farm with great views of the sea and Devon (on a clear day) Very clean & well equipped property, more cup, glasses, knives & utensils than we have at home!

Gwynn the owner and her family were very friendly, regularly checking everything was OK, the Welsh cakes on arrival being a nice touch. This is a working farm but if you are a dog owner there are fields not in use that your dog can safely run around in, very useful with a lively 6 month old Spaniel. Thanks for a great stay!

Gwyneth made us very welcome and the area was beautiful even in late autumn

Stayed 4 nights with a friend and my 86 year old mum who was attending a Wedding nearby.

The cottage was as described, very clean, warm and cosy, and easy to find. The surrounding area is stunning, with beautiful Autumn colours and panoramic views of an amazingly varied landscape. The local people are so friendly and helpful too. However the ingredient that makes this cottage extra special is Gwyn, the owner, a lovely lady who really goes out of her way to ensure her guests have a great time, and even made a lovely buttonhole for my mum’s wedding outfit. Thank you for everything and we will be back for another stay, hopefully next year

This was our 5th or 6th stay we have lost count.

As usual everything was ready for us and Gwyneth was most welcoming. She was around in the week in case we needed anything but not intrusive. Had a thoroughly relaxing time. Enjoyed our stay as did our dog!!!

We were made to feel so welcome by the owners. We went here on the recommendation of my parents who had stayed there before and we would certainly recommend it to others and we would certainly return again in the future.

This was our third stay at the Dairy and found it very comfortable and Gwyneth was very welcoming as usual.

She went out of her way to be helpful and provide us with bedding not washed in any sort of dressing as requested. We enjoyed the quiet and had a restful time but with plenty of walking. The access was great as I have a mobility problem and she was happy for us to bring our dog. I would always recommend Sykes for their efficiency and the Dairy as a lovely place to stay.

We stayed at The Dairy with our dog, Ruby, for 7 nights in early May 2019.

We had a fantastic time. The Dairy was spacious, well equipped and comfortable, exceeding our expectations. The owners, in particular Gwenyth, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The cottage was located in a beautiful part of the Gower, with great views across the hills and within easy driving access to all of the beauty spots such as Rhossili, Three Cliffs and Arthur's Stone to name but a few. If you are looking to visit the Gower we would definitely recommend this cottage.

I originally "booked" the cottage through Home Away.

This was very confusing and I would not recommend this course of action. I subsequently received an email to say that my booking did not happen as I had failed to book the cottage with Sykes and it was now back on the market. This caused complete panic so I rang Sykes. Sykes confirmed that the cottage was now back on the market! Why did no one contact me earlier? I was then asked for payment and bombarded with questions about holiday insurance and damage protection. Perhaps I was caught at an inappropriate time but this left me feeling that I would never use Home Away again and probably not Sykes. Now that I have had time to reflect on the experience, I can see that it was probably not the fault of Sykes Cottages but still feel unhappy about the attempt to sell extras.

Not really, we just had a super holiday in the Dairy.

The Dairy was everything we had hoped & wished for.

Perfect location for re-charging our batteries. My only concern was the garden was not enclosed.

The dairy was everything the web advertisement said with the added extra of possibly the most friendly, helpful and courteous owner I have ever experienced over numerous years of cottage holidays.

Mrs Rees was warm, flex ible, and helpful.

It was our second visit and it was like coming home. We saw plenty of birds in spite of having a noisy dog, and lots of flowers. We will return next year to see the spring flowers and enjoy Mrs Reeses farm. Dilys, Helen and Zara - dog.

Great cottage in a brilliant location.

Close to Swansea, beaches and great walks for the dog. The owner was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Would stay here again.

A warm and friendly welcome began our break in this well equipped and cosy cottage.

As we travel with our two labradors, it is important to us that they are as as welcome as we are. This was certainly the case and we were especially appreciative to be advised where we could safely let our dogs run freely without danger to themselves or the resident farm animals. We hope to return.

The Rees family made us feel extremely welcome and it was a perfect location for visiting my sister at Swansea university, whilst also having a holiday with my 15mth old daughter.

The cottage was perfect for her & we enjoyed the walks and nearby tourist destinations, we had a perfect break. Thank you, we would love to visit again!

A lovely clean cottage with some thoughtful touches.

We loved the fact the cottage was on a working farm and in particular our little boy thought this was wonderful too. The owners made our little boy very welcome and he wont be forgetting his visit! Next time we need accommodation in Wales we will be looking to book this cottage again.
