“Hi The problem with the TV not working was resolved on the Tuesday 29th, not really acceptable as we arrived at 4.”

30pm on Friday 25th we went without TV and Radio all that time, not something I would expect from Sykes or the cottage handling company. The kitchen is fully equipped and clean so is the bathroom, the bedroom is a nice size with a comfortable clean bed. The lounge is a good size. The location is superb, brilliant views and peaceful. The downside is the cleanliness of the cottage, the lounge and dining area needs a good clean and a lick of paint wouldn’t go amiss. The whole cottage ...

The whole cottage has a big problem with spiders and ladybirds, downstairs and upstairs. We had to de-cobweb the entire cottage, especially around the fire area. There is plaster/paint coming off the wall behind the table and across to the kitchen. The woodburner is tired and in my opinion needs the flu re-sealing and verging on being unsafe. The logs provided are too big for the woodburner and need splitting (as advised in the woodburner manual). There was no fire retardant glove. We had to live out of our suitcase for the whole week as we didn’t want spiders on our clothing because there were spiders in the bedroom cupboard. There’s no blind in the bathroom (looks like there had been one but because of the way the shower is located it obviously gets wet) or any obscure glass, a bit uncomfortable as there is a public right of way as you look out of the window! I would like some compensation for our inconvenience and disappointment on our weeks holiday that we looked forward to. Thank you Mr and Mrs Jones
