Little Freestone

The house is in a lovely location.

It is extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The furniture and beds are excellent. The garden benefits from shade and sun, garden furniture and the two boys aged 4 and 18 months thoroughly enjoyed it. Close to lots of attractions and great beaches. Highly recommended.

A perfect home away from home for a family, with everything you need for preparing meals, planning your days out and enjoying your holidays.

The hosts are really welcoming; the milk, eggs and cake a wonderful gift upon arrival.

Absolutely beautiful cottage that Ruth & David have built.

Lovely & cozy, only 15 minutes from seaside resorts and plenty of activities. Couldn’t have asked for more. The cottage is very green energy and the owners are very sustainable led which means you must recycle waste. There are beautiful gardens for your own use and the sun shines on the property all day if you just want to chill out. The only thing I could suggest is a washing line in the garden to dry clothes. I would most definitely recommend this cottage to all.

Wonderful place and lovely hosts.

Garden was gorgeous and provided a haven in the heat. The house had everything we needed and was so comfortable and cosy. Love their ethos of sustainability and re-wilding. so many thoughtful touches in the house. David & Ruth were on hand, providing us with fresh eggs and salad, and a beautiful welcome gift of a cake. Absolutely perfect, thank you!

My wife and I recently enjoyed a 7-night stay at “Little Freestone”.

It provided a convenient, peaceful, comfortable base, with almost everything we needed for our short visit to beautiful Pembrokeshire. We found lots of good walks nearby. We are pleased we found “Little Freestone”. There was only one matter that we did not enjoy; this was the condition of the non-stick saucepans and pans, the surfaces of which were quite badly damaged. As a result, we chose not to use them. Overall, we were pleased with “Little Freestone” and had a lovely break.

Very comfortable furnishings including good mattresses, made us feel relaxed and at home.

The cottage was very clean and tidy. Pleasant outside garden to enjoy with seating and picnic table. Lovely helpful owners. Every last detail has been thought about and provided for. The cottage is also very eco friendly. Ideal for walking; the area is lovely. The cottage's position is ideal for exploring west Pembrokeshire too. A really nice cottage.

Relatively new to the holiday self catering market but the property carefully designed with this in mind with very comfortable furnishings and ample equipment in spotless presentation.

We had a lovely week at Little Freestone.

The owners were very friendly, but not intrusive. We loved watching the birds on the feeder. The property was very clean and comfortable - a lot packed in to a relatively small space, but done well. It is a lovely base to explore more of Pembrokeshire. We had lovely weather during our week and we enjoyed going to the coast. It was a pleasure to go past the Carew Tidal Mill when coming in and out of the area - so beautiful, especially with the nesting swans. Would definitely recommend this holiday cottage.

This is an absolutely beautiful cottage in a fantastic location.

It has all the amenities you could wish for, and Ruth and David were fantastic hosts. The welcome gifts of Welsh cakes, fresh eggs and chocolate eggs for the children (we stayed over Easter) were the icing on the cake. We will definitely return.

The house was perfect for our needs, and spotlessly clean.

The bathrooms were very well appointed and the beds and pillows comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed without being too cluttered. David was very welcoming and helpful with our car charging issue, and the Bara Brith that Ruth made was very tasty. It is situated in a good location for visiting attractions in the area, although being out of season some were closed. We can definitely recommend it and would like to return.

We had a lovely few days in Little Freestone.

Ruth was very accomodating and communication was excellent. The property was bigger than we thought and very clean and comfortable. The goodies we arrived to were a lovely touch, the bottle of Prosecco that was kindly left for us was to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary and my husband's birthday. We were greeted when we arrived which was lovely and we discussed different places to go and visit and where to park, etc. Will definitely recommend and will return soon.

Our stay was a long weekend for a family wedding being held close by to Little Freestone.

The cottage was clean, comfortable and had all the comfort of Home. It was a real Home from Home. And Ruth and David were helpful and so friendly. Hopefully our next visit will be for a longer Stay.

We had the most wonderful stay at Little Freestone and it was everything we could have wished for in a holiday cottage.

Ruth and David were very welcoming and made us feel that we were home from home. It was in a very peaceful and quiet area of Pembrokeshire but not far from the local visitor attractions and beaches. Would definitely recommend it.

The cottage was very comfortable and well quipped, for all our needs.

The bedrooms are lovely, with comfortable beds and nicely decorated. There are 3 bathrooms which was very helpful with 4 women getting ready every morning! We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend Little Freestone.

Hope this brief one helps too. We always use Sykes Cottages and Little Freestone certainly did not disappoint and is definately up with one of the best we have ever stayed in. The location was really good for sightseeing and the access to it was very good and easy to find. Good parking outside the cottage. The Cottage itself was excellent! From cleanliness to the welcome gifts when we arrived to the comfy (firm) beds and well equipped kitchen. Lots of storage and appliances were easy to use. No Air Fryer though...if you happen to use one of those! The 3 bathrooms were of a very high quality and the showers were excellent. Bed linen and towels were of good quality and soft! Lots of storage in all the bedrooms and even lovely hangers in the wardrobes. The little private garden opposite the cottage was really lovely and we saw some amazing sunsets in the evening from sitting in there with a glass of wine after a busy day of walking. So quiet and peaceful with no noise at night either. WIFI was very good and we had no problems and so was our phone signal but this might depend of provider. Not too much in the way of shops close by so we had to make sure we had everything we needed before we headed home. Could find no fault in Little Freestone, absolutely beautiful cottage in a beautiful location and would highly recommend a visit.

Everything you could need for a few days away from home in a beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean property. All the bedrooms were lovely, each with their own character and their own bathrooms (two ensuite!). The kitchen has everything you need and the living area is very comfortable and cosy - we loved watching the birds from the window. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Little Freestone. We had an excellent stay - thank you, David and Ruth.

The cottage was excellent, nothing missing and Ruth and david were very welcoming especially the welcome bread and Bara Brith.

All the bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed with each having it's own shower etc. My only downside would be that as long as we have been with Sykes we have never had to strip bedding and place in a bag. All in all though very satisfied.

Beautiful property in a lovely quiet location.

A short drive to Tenby. Friendly, welcoming hosts who left us some lovely treats and basics. The property was spotlessly clean with almost everything you could need for your stay. The mattresses are VERY firm. I struggled to sleep on them but the other member of my party slept really well so this comes down to taste. We were very lucky to stay during a heatwave but the property is very hot inside. 27 degrees some days and evenings on the thermostat. Fans had not been provided and should have been as it was very uncomfortably hot and difficult to sleep. This is the only con.

We was greeted with a lovely welcome gift of home cooked bread and cake, plus some lovely cheese and chutney.

Which was lovely. The house itself was very well laid out and very clean on arrival. An enclosed garden is child friendly and they can run off extra energy they may have. The property is located near to Tenby and other places to visit with children.

Parking available and a small garden to use. In a quiet village which is surrounded by beautiful county walks and a castle just up the road! Easy to get to places of interest, restaurants/pubs & shopping. Great owners who left a lovely welcome pack. Would definitely go back.

The property is extremely well maintained with everything we could possibly need catered for. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Will not hesitate to return to this idyllic location if the opportunity arises

The cottage was spotless and had everything you needed beds were comfortable. Great garden enjoyed watching the birds and even saw a wood pecker and feeding the 2 ponies that were in the paddock next to the house. There is so much to do and see we loved going to Tenby the beach is amazing. If you get time please try and visit the RAF museum it really interesting and there a lovely gentleman called John he’s 95 and so interesting to listen to. David is really friendly and helpful and gave us a couple of suggestions of places to visit. Would definitely recommend staying here you won’t be disappointed.

It is beautifully presented little cottage in the middle of the countryside in the beautiful and convenient location of Carew. The cottage is clean, tidy, well presented and packed with every convenience you could wish for. The owners are delightful and cater for all of your needs. Cannot wait to stay there again! Little Freestone was comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Very convenient for touring Pembrokeshire, especially the Cleddau estuary. Owners Ruth and David provided a welcome package on our arrival. We would certainly recommend this property.

The whole family and I had a great time staying at little Freestone, The house has everything you could possibly need to make your stay as comfortable as possible and the owners of the property Who live next door where really nice.

I highly recommend staying there so much so I have already booked to go back next year.

Little Freestone is ideally located to enjoy the many wonderful walks around the Wales Coast Path.

A fabulous holiday cottage.

Clean, well presented and in an incredible location. The owners are delightful and go above and beyond to make sure you have the most wonderful stay possible. The little touches they leave for you make your stay extra special... you literally want for nothing. Anything you can think of has already been thought of. The cottage is beautiful and so comfortable... you settle in as soon as you walk in the door. Thoroughly recommend Little Freestone for an amazing holiday in Pembrokeshire. Will definitely be visiting again. Absolutely amazing!!

There were 4 adults and 2 children.

There was pleanty of seating for all of us, a good size are to kick or throw a ball about, but best of all, 3 bathrooms with excellent showers.

Little Freestone is a wonderful cottage, it has everything you need for a lovely relaxing holiday.

It is in a perfect location for exploring Pembrokeshire. David and Ruth are fabulous hosts. We have stayed here twice now and wouldn't hesitate to return again.
