What guests are saying
This property has so much potential, however, we did experience some issues.
Firstly, it is an amazing space, full of character and charm. We love the slightly retro look to the kitchen, the doors between the kitchen and living space (possibly original) are lovely, high ceilings and space generally is really nice. It is in a lovely location to allow you to explore Pembrokeshire and all it has to offer. It does however feel like it needs updating. Signs of damp, and damp smell in the property generally, though we were able to air it out, the kitchen cupboards do smell, and we felt the need to clean things before use. The grout in the shower needs re doing I suspect as previous comments, and there are signs of mould. Some things I suspect were oversights (no soap or towel in bathroom on arrival, no spare food waste or bin bags, bin with previous guests rubbish). However there are some other cleanliness issues that the owner has assured us are being dealt with such as a lot of dead flies in one of the bedrooms, and lots of cobwebs in another. I feel that with the right cleaning company, and some updating, this place has the potential to be a 10/10 property, as is, it hasn’t met the standards of the Sykes cottages we stay in generally twice per year. I will say the owner was very quick to respond to our questions, and has given assurances that the issues highlighted are being dealt with.
Beautiful, stunning property, unfortunately the cleanliness was awful, when we unlocked the front door lots and lots of flies flew out all around our heads.
Dead flies in both of the window ledges and all over the carpet in the bedroom which we had to vacuum up. Towels felt very worn and not particularly clean
Unique home in a very peaceful setting, very enjoyable
