Fabulous property 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, everyone had their own space Fully equipped with everything we needed.

This was an ideal location for visiting family in South Pembrokeshire.

The house was roomy and very well equipped. Lovely touch by the owners who had decorated for Christmas, left aluminium roasting dishes, Welsh cakes bottle of prosecco. Would definitely consider this accommodating again, peaceful too.

Such a well thought out layout three good size beds rooms and enough bathrooms for everyone was fantastic!

Spotlessly clean and well furnished property with all necessary utensils provided.

Beds comfortable. Rooms large and airy. It would be very difficult to find any fault. Calm and tranquil location which is within easy reach of local attractions and coastline. Definitely one of the best properties we have stayed at.

A quiet location with local walks and water access. Easy access to attractions in Pembroke too.

We had a very nice stay at Curlew, a beautiful house full of light.

We were lucky with the weather and saw a lot of birds, inc. buzzards, from the terrace. The only things that would improve the stay are a few more cleaning products, and a torch (there were two power cuts during our stay, one in the evening when it was very dark).

Beautiful location overlooking the estuary.

Great parking spaces. Within a short car ride to Lidl and a garage, as well as the Horse and Jockey Pub, where we had a delicous meal. Can highly recommend. We all had a great week in this lovely house. Ann M

To note re maintenance. Bedroom door overlooking estuary with single beds doesn’t close. Shower screen over bath leaks. Would suggest for hygiene reasons pillows have pillow protectors fitted.

We had an excellent stay at Curlew cottage.

The property stood on the side of the estuary with beautiful views.We spent many hours on the patio looking at all the birds that were on view, heron, curlew, swans, ducks and much more. The cottage was very comfortable with all that you required to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Would definitely recommend any family e friend's to visit.

Small issue with shower, owner was on site within an hour tops and it was sorted. There is something very relaxing about watching the tidal ins and outs of the estuary, very relaxing. Very comfortable stay, would definitely recommend. Need a pair of kitchen scissors! That's the only moan so must have been a wonderful stay, it was! Please note that there were differences in the detail that Sykes provided and other details pertaining to the cottage on site. For instance one said you could arrive at 4 the other 5, there were other inconsistencies. There was no mention of Smart TV just Freeview..

We have stayed in quite a few holiday cottages over the years and this one is by far our favourite, large space and great views across the estuary.

Great location with so much to see and do. We will definitely be booking the curlew again. Pembrokeshire is amazing.

This is a fantastic location for discovering Pembrokeshire.

Our children loved crabbing and playing near the bridge at low tide and the house was very conveniently located near shops and commerces. Lots of information provided by the hosts to help us during our stay and the house was clean and well presented. We did find a problem with one shower but the hosts were very reactive, understanding and willing to fix the issue immediately.

Lovely property in a quiet secluded spot right on the waterfront and only a short drive to Milford Haven.

Good choice of pubs nearby together with a decent sized Lidl. Conveniently placed for St David’s, Tenby and Skomer. Recommended.

Absolutely loved this house.

It was in a great location and so well decorated thought out. In a great location for visiting the coast of pembrokeshire. Very quiet and great for relaxing by the estuary.

Pros.

The cottage is in a very good condition and the location is just great. Cottage was very neat and clean with all amenities available. The balcony is great for morning tea and to chill out in evenings. Cons. WiFi is a bit of an issue and there are no signals most times on first floor.

Almost spotless when we arrived. A couple of minor cleaning issues. Ìt would benefit from a parasol on the terrace and a mattress protector on the main bed hut was otherwise near perfect. 0

Overall we enjoyed our stay in Curlew but feel a few points need addressing.

In the electric shower en suite bathroom the socket holding the shower spray head was broken and the spray head tended to fall out, also the water would suddenly turn cold for no apparent reason. The extractor fan in the other en suite bathroom didn't work; as there is no window in this room a working extractor fan is essential. The window in the down stairs toilet wouldn't open; has this been secured closed for security reasons? The central heating boiler requires re-pressurizing and salt is required in the dish washer. Kitchen equipment was adequate but minimal, the potato peeler is broken. A few more glasses especially thinner wine glasses would be appreciated. The terrace receives sun from late morning onwards so a sun shade/parasol would be appreciated.

The cottage was in a fabulous position - overlooking the Castle Pill Estuary, facing west with two sets of french windows opening onto the patio, making the rooms very light .

It was wonderful to watch the ebb and flow of the tide and see all the seabirds on the water and shore. The lights from across the estuary reflected in the water at night, adding to the atmosphere. A great place to stay if you like kayaking or paddle boarding. The patio was a great place to relax on and is not overlooked at all. The house and furnishings were modern and comfortable with plenty of bathrooms! The property was very clean. Milford Haven with supermarkets and restaurants is just a couple of minutes away. We walked the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from this property and will move onto another section and another area next year and are sorry not to be coming back immediately - thoroughly recommend.

Great place to unwind, but not far away from bars and restaurants, love to go back, very relaxing holiday.

Cottage is beautiful, although furniture in lounge not particularly comfortable.

It's also different to the suite shown on the website. The beds in the second ensuite bedroom were uncomfortable. However, very clean, a wonderful base from which to explore, and we would happily return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Curlew which was well situated to explore Pembrokeshire from and the house and facilities made the stay very comfortable.

We enjoyed a sundowner on the terrace every evening a perfect place to catch the setting sun over the river estuary we appreciated the welcome pack after a long drive and we would definitely stay again!

We loved our holiday in Pembroke it’s a beautiful part of the world.

The property was spacious and in a great location it did full far short of the standard of cleanliness we would expect especially in these times of Covid 19.

We had the most wonderful Christmas at Curlew.

We were a party of six (ranging in age from 25-83!). The property was clean and tidy with ample provision for cooking and food preparation. It was warm and comfy and tastefully decorated for the Festive Season. The downstairs space/kitchen area, was light and pleasant and afforded spectacular views over the water, as did the bedrooms, which gave us a different perspective each morning. We cannot praise this accommodation and its location highly enough. This property provided an excellent base for both relaxing and getting out and about to enjoy some of the spectacular scenery. Having experienced numerous cottage holidays over the years, this will stand out as one of the very best.

Curlew Cottage is in a beautiful quiet setting with a patio right above the tidal estuary, so that you can sit out watching the tide come in and out.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped and furnished. We definitely want to return another year.

We really enjoyed our stay at Curlew cottage and would certainly return.

We did find that some of the kitchen utensils had been put away having not been cleaned properly.

Cottage was brilliant, clean, and the information pack that was left was very comprehensive.

Even had a pint of milk in the fridge left for us.

A beautiful house in a fantastic setting.

The house is spacious, comfortable & well equipped. The extra bathroom was a welcome bonus with a family of three teenagers. WiFi was a bit dodgy but other than that perfect.

The house was perfect, clean and everything you need.

The scenery is out of this world and nothing better waking up to see water and lucky for us the sun shining everyday :-) We travelled out most days and found some beautiful places. If you just want a relaxing holiday this house is for you or a perfect base for travelling around. Nothing more perfect watching the sun go down on the balcony, after a busy day, with a vino in your hand. I recommend that you read the visitors book which gives lots of ideas of places to eat and places to go.

Lovely property with all the facilities we could ask for. The weather was perfect and the location ideal. What more could we ask??

This was listed as no pets which was important to us.

It was obvious from comments left that many people had stayed with their dogs.

The internet was not connected when we arrived.

We texted the owners and although they did not reply it was on the following day. Once that was sorted we had a perfect holiday.

Great location for seeing this part of Wales, we would highly recommend this cottage. Would have been good to have 2 keys and when we arrived the key safe was open.

This is a beautiful location.

The property is very spacious and comfortable. The only negatives were that a few things could do with replacing in order to make it top notch stay, such as the cups, kitchen bin, and saucepans. On the whole it is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
