    “I loved this cottage, I believe it was built in the 17th Century and has had a number of uses before being converted to a Holiday let.”

    So all of that history has left it's mark making the building quirky, interesting and Fun. We were there in September and the wood burning stove was more than capable of heating the cottage. However as the mornings were becoming cold at that time of year the owner offered to turn on the central heating and that made the cottage very cosy and I have little doubt it could cope with coldest of winter nights. The cottage was well equipped such that all you need to bring is clothes and being out in ...

Bettws is a quaint ex-mining village situated on the River Ogmore in the South Wales Valleys, Bridgend. The village is small and picturesque, surrounded by beautiful countryside and a great location for exploring the South Wales coastline and neighouring towns. In the village you will find a pub, convenience store, St. David's Church and a footpath leading to Bryngarw Country Park, recognised as one of the best green spaces in the UK. Set over 100 acres of park land, it offers a sanctuary for visitors and wildlife, with landscape ranging from woodlands to wetlands, and meadows to formal gardens.
