Really well appointed cottage in a beautiful location - it had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

The owners had thought of everything.

We had a fabulous holiday in this lovely part of the world.

Grat place to stay if you want to explore that area of Wales.

We had a lovely stay at Tangaer Cottage.

The cottage was warm, clean, and very well equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The setting is peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind. The attention to detail throughout the cottage was excellent, and it felt welcoming from the moment we arrived. We would happily return and would thoroughly recommend Tangaer Cottage to others.

Fantastic accommodation everything you could want and more.

Mr and Mrs Williams were quick to response with any issues or help, nothing too much trouble. Every cupboard we looked in there were more games beach towels dvds books. TV in the master bedroom and lounge. Lovely and quiet garden nice size great for children to play or dogs. Highly recommend this property we will be returning.

Superb cottage and very comfortable with everything that you will need.

The owners are very helpful, offering suggestions for places to visit etc. Lovely secure garden, however this is not attached to the property, but is just a stones throw away over the courtyard, which is also a very nice space. This is the best cottage we have stayed in and we will definitely return again. Our two year old grandson loved the swing and watching the cows just over the garden fence. Perfect location, the small town of Lampeter with shops is about 5 minutes away. The approach to the property is on a single track road for about a mile ish but we had no issues getting out and about. We didn’t want to leave!

Lots to do and visit in the area and such a beautiful place. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and the location was perfect, we and the dogs had a fantastic week highly recommend !

Probably one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. Stunning views, easy access to surrounding areas including Newquay, Aberaeron, Llangrannog, Aberporth etc. We will certainly look at a return trip.

We had a great stay at this cottage.

Its well equipped and the owners have really thought about things you might need on arrival such as milk and bread plus other items you may need during your stay, we visited in July/August so fans and beach towels were much appreciated. The cottage is in a lovely, peaceful location with great views of the surrounding countryside, the outside small decking area with table and chairs was wonderful to sit at with a coffee in the mornings! The cottage is also conveniently located not far from the town of Lampeter which has two supermarkets and options for takeaway food/eating out plus the West Wales coast is easily visited within 30 to 50 minutes depending on where you visit. We had a very enjoyable stay at this property.

A great property for a family of Granny Mum Dad and two tiny tots.

Lots of space inside for crawling round inside and a lovely garden for the two year old to run around. Great views. A good central location for visiting castles and the coast. Supermarket not too far away. The owner was always on hand if we needed anything.

Our second stay at this property and we loved it as much as we did the first time.

The setting is magical tucked away in the rolling countryside; our two year old grandson played safely in the space outside, watching his toy vehicles roll down the slope as well picking up speed on his scooter; the house itself is spacious, well resourced, comfortable, with the bonus of two toilets in addition to a splendid TV. WiFi access is flakey and that was frustrating at times, but perhaps this is a regional issue? Otherwise, a perfect holiday property in a beautiful part of Wales and within 45 minutes (by car) of some stunning beaches.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and furnished throughout.

It was really well-equipped and very warm, with plenty of hot water. Much thought had been given to ensuring the comfort of visitors in every aspect possible. We had a really cosy and comfortable stay and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location was also good for exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside in lots of directions. We will definitely return another day.

A fabulous immaculate cottage with everything we needed and more, in beautifully quiet, peaceful natural farmland surroundings.

We have stayed in self-catering accommodation across the UK and this was by far the best, ticking all our boxes.

A beautiful rural setting in mid-Wales, yet near to the shopping facilities in Lampeter, three bedrooms, enabling our youngest grandson to sleep in a room of his own, a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious and very comfortable lounge-dining area, very pleasing decor, two toilets, ample parking and a marvellous collection of games to suit all tastes and ages. Our two hosts could not have been more welcoming or helpful!

We have just returned from an amazing stay at Tangaer Cottage.

Every thing was perfect from the moment we arrived with everything catered for and the beds were very comfortable. The cottage is a good size for couples or families and dog friendly it is situated in farmland with good views a nice walk to a nearby fort and is perfectly located to lots of nearby beauty spots and beaches such as Devils Bridge, Llyn Brianne Reservoir, Newquay, Aberystwyth, and Brechfa Forest. Recommend the Black Lion in Lampeter for an evening meal. Thank you Geriant and Iona for letting us stay!

We had a week in this beautiful cosy cottage.

It had all & more we could have wanted. There was delicious Welsh cakes freshly baked for us on our arrival & a basket with other lovely goodies. The welcome pack was very informative with everything you would need be it a Dr or a vet or a chippy to every day days out . The owners of the cottage were an absolute pleasure. Loved the cottage from the minute we walked through the door.

Very tastefully furnished & decorated throughout with everything you could wish for & made our stay very enjoyable & comfortable especially as the weather wasn't brilliant. I'd broke my foot at the beginning of September which meant we couldn't do as much walking as we normally would so we'd love to return & explore the beautiful walks a bit more. Iona & Geraint were the perfect hosts not only providing a substantial welcome pack but they also came to see us shortly after we arrived & had a lovely chat with us as we were leaving....two very lovely & friendly people. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a bit peace & quiet in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Dogs loved it too!

The cottage and surrounding scenery are beautiful.

It's so quiet and peaceful even with windows open. The only sound we got was from the rain and that it's self just added to the relaxation. Broadband speed was only up to 15mbs, not a problem for us but for someone else who plans on taking a laptop and maybe wants to do some online gaming, it would be. Min of 30mbs should be enough for children wanting to play online games. Other than that, everything was perfect for us. We wanted a relaxing, peaceful, in the middle of nowhere holiday and we got just that. It was so nice that I chose the livingroom to propose to my partner

We had a wonderful stay here for the last week of the summer holidays.

The cottage is super, we felt completely at home and wanted for nothing. The owners are really friendly and kind, anything you might need and they can help, they had left us a very personalised little food hamper to start our stay off with the essentials before we got to the shops it was carefully selected items which our two little boys were very happy with. Theres a little garden area which our boys loved!. If youre happy driving about its a perfect base for exploring so many places. If we want to re visit this area I would 100% stay here again and would highly recommend :-)

We had such a comfortable stay at Tangaer Cottage.

The owners were so accommodating and kind. The cottage is spotlessly clean and has all the amenities you might need for a holiday in the Welsh countryside. We have two young children and they were delighted with the garden's proximity to the livestock and the odd tractor! The cottage is well situated and provides a great base for exploring mid Wales. We'd definitely recommend this house and look forward to returning before too long.

Everything was beyond our expectations – from the impeccable service to the stunning accommodation. The attention to detail and the warm hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable. There were lots to see and do and the location was truly tranquil. Our host went truly above and beyond to make our stay dazzling and memorable. Superb way to disconnect and relax in a family-friendly environment with every comfort.

The cottage was perfect for our children aged 5,7 and 9 who loved the swings and playing basketball out in the courtyard. Everything had been thought of and set up really well for us, including a kind welcome package. We would highly recommend the cottage and the local area. The owners gave us excellent advice on the local area in advance which meant we could book ahead to a soft play for a rainy morning (which was fully booked). Aberystwyth and Aberaeron were lovely to visit and stunning local scenery.

Wow what a little Gem of a place my partner and I was over the moon with the cottage it was perfect for us and our two little furry monsters.

We spent a week in the cottage at the end of January and Iona and Gerraint kindly gave me a Birthday card chocolates and a ballon on my arrival which was very kind also a box of goodies as a welcome gift. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard and the cleanliness is impeccable we had everything we needed and more the hosts have thought of everything. We fell in love with the area and we visited many places within a short drive including The Snowdon Range, Harlech Castle , The Breacon Beacons, the lovely Pembrokeshire Coast especially Barafundle Bay lots of Dog friendly beaches Cein Bach Aberporth to name a few Just up the cost is Aberystwyth which have some lovely boutique shops and great restaurants Tangaer Cottage Lampeter is a great base to explore the lovely West Coast of Wales we will be back very soon thank you for making our stay memorable

Well what can we say there are no words to express how amazing the property and the owners were really made our family christmas magical, we are looking forward to booking again in the summer to experience all that Wales has to offer, we wish we had booked longer.

The cottage was comfortable, homely and clean and tidy Mr &Mrs Williams were very helpful and friendly The only slight negative points were the daily fight with the shower curtain and as dog owners that the garden was not attached to the house but across the yard which was slightly inconvenient at night taking the dogs out in the dark

We had a wonderful holiday.

The cottage was extremely clean and had everything you needed for a perfect holiday, the beds were so comfortable. Bobby the dog was extra bonus and our dogs loved him too.

The property is very spacious, warm and cosy with the fire.

The cottage is very well equipped and has everything and more you could ever need. Games, DVDs, toiletries plus dressing gowns! A home from home. The welcome basket of essentials was a surprise and it contained everything you would initially need, including some delicious Welsh cakes. The grounds are lovely and it was nice being so close to the animals, just outside the garden area. Geraint and Iona are very friendly, offering information about the local area and places to visit. Bob was a delight and my dog enjoyed playing with him.

A lovely stay at one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in.

The owners who were very friendly and helpful had thought of everything a very generous welcome basket, toiletries, dvds, games, sewing kit etc The cottage was spacious, warm and cosy . It was a delight to wake in the morning pull back the curtains to see the cows grazing in the field a few meters away. The other animal delight was Bob the dog, always there to give us a warm welcome . In all we had a lovely stay at Tangaer Cottage and would certainly recommend it.

Tangaer Cottage is well appointed, well maintained and well equipped.

The hosts are genial. The undoubted star attraction is Bobby, their dog. Neighbours & local car users are also friendly. All round, a good advert for Wales.

The cottage is lovely, lots of space, beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches throughout including a coffee machine, toiletries and bath robes.

It's warm, comfortable, well equipped and very clean. The views are stunning and great for watching the birds. Iona and Geraint are perfect hosts very welcoming, accommodating and kind. Bob, the dog is very friendly and loves a bit of attention!

Geraint and Iona the owners were lovely and very friendly .Everything we needed was there including a welcome pack and home made welsh cakes .Town of Lampeter only 3 miles away .Very peaceful and quiet.We visited a few towns during the week .Aberteifi and Llandeilo worth a visit also Melin Tregwynt near St David’s.

We love Wales and these people have made our stay that extra bit more special nicest and most helpful people we've come across for a while and the cottage is beautiful we didn't want to leave.

This property really deserves its 5 stars we loved it.

The owners and their son were so kind and helpful and Bob the dog was such a lovely boy he was so patient with our feisty Yorkie! Iona even knocked one evening with a lovely home made cake! Cosy, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, a very useful utility room it even had a wine fridge! Everything you could want, a very generous welcome basket (the best I have ever had and I have stayed in many cottages).Very generous supplies from lovely clean towels to dishwasher tablets! Beautiful location, definitely one of the nicest places I have stayed in, they have thought of everything and I would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay. Tangaer Cottage is an absolute delight!

It’s a beautifully presented, super clean and well equipped cottage. Geraint & Iona (the owners) were lovely and very welcoming, along with Bob their dog. The setting is perfect, peaceful and quiet with fantastic views….so all in all a fantastic place to stay.

Genuinely one of the nicest cottages we have ever stayed in.

Welcomed by the owners and the wonderful Bob (their dog). Thoughtful and appreciated welcome pack, brilliant facilities in a nicely laid out cottage. They had set up the cot in the room of our choice for our 13 month old, good high chair provided as well. Lovely little closed off grass area with swings and a sand pit. Log burner looks great, thankfully/sadly wasn’t needed as we had warm weather! Nicely put together folder with all local Info, particularly appreciated the dog friendly attractions list! The best feedback I can give is we will be back!!

Tangaer Cottage is beautiful!

It is exceptionally well equipped with good quality items, it's very comfortable with enough seating for all, lots of hot water and a very efficient heating system and a good and easy to use wood burner. The cottage downstairs is open plan so wonderfully spacious yet cosy too. The bedrooms are all a great size with comfortable beds and the bath is joyous! The shower is powerful and the towels are large and soft! I can't find any faults with this cottage at all. The cottage has more than ample parking in a clean and tidy yard area off which is a little play area for children and dogs have lots of safe space for walking, sniffing and playing with the owners dog, lovely Bob. The Cottage itself is well located for trips to the many little coastal areas as well as into the hills but you should be aware that all trips in Wales take more time than they would in town environments - that is the beauty of the area. The local towns are worth visits and there are some good local walks. We found that all drivers were very considerate if you met on a narrow road. We loved our stay here, it's a very beautiful and quiet location, beautifully dark at night and wonderfully peaceful.

Fantastic cottage ,friendly hosts , and not forgetting Bob

Mum and 3 older daughters (22,19 and 16) with our 2 dogs stayed in this cosy cottage, it was spotless on arrival with a really nice welcome pack with food, including butter, bread tea and milk, eggs etc to put us on.

The kitchen had everything we needed and lovely touches throughout the cottage to make our stay comfortable- dressing gowns, plenty of towels, DVD’s games,gas BBQ and spa bath. The dogs loved playing with Bob the farm dog (though ours are a bit lively for him!) we enjoyed exploring this part of Wales that we had never been to before though beware of the narrow winding roads(not great for travel sickness!) It was a lovely holiday

A lovely cottage throughout.

Owners lovely and very helpful, got to meet Bob the very friendly dog. The week away was just what the family needed. Had everything within the cottage you could need. All enjoyed the "hot tub bath" after a day at the local beach.

The house is high quality, well built and well finished. 2. The welcome pack was most welcome, but even better was to find the kitchen equipped with all the little things that are important, but you don't want to shop for : salt, pepper, vinegar, oil, cling film, foil, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs etc 2a Log fire,logs, warm house, jacuzzi and home-made Welsh cakes all added to our enjoyment 3. Mr & Mrs Williams (and Bob !) were most friendly & welcoming, but not "in yer face" - they allowed us to enjoy their property without us feeling watched over. 4. Tangaer is ideally situated to easily visit many places. We enjoyed Aberaeron and Newquay on a wonderfully sunny day and were equally fortunate when we visited Llyn Brianne reservoir. 5. Nearby Tregaron has a pub, The Talbot, which has quality food at very reasonable prices - fantastic ! 6. Every journey in and out of the cottage was accompanied by several red kites - such a treat.

The cottage and it's location is just perfect.

We have never stayed in such a well equipped and spacious holiday home, with such comfortable surroundings. The outdoor space is amazing for kids and we loved sitting out in the evening on the patio. Nothing was too much to ask and it was just wonderful.

The cottage was clean and very well equipped, and we were left a lovely welcome basket. Geraint and Iona couldn’t have been more welcoming, and of course not forgetting Bob the dog who my dogs absolutely loved. Can’t wait to return again

Warm and cozy, very generous welcome basket. Lovely owners. Kids and our lab loved playing with Spot and Bob. Had a great week exploring the area.

... everything you could ask for. The cottage was very clean and organized. The location is spot on. Just over 30 minutes away from beautiful beaches: Dolau, Cymtydu. All in all, brilliant experience.

this shouldn't be a 5 star cottage..needs to be a 5 star+. Owners were very welcoming,and easily at hand if any problems( never had any problems to put the response to test),will def be looking to return next year..had 2 extremely friendly dogs,whom our normally very nervous dog,really enjoyed being around...a great location to visit explore area...great local walls too..I could go on.and on praising this holiday experience..but I'm getting texting cramp..but I must say thankyou to the hosts for making this a highly enjoyable holiday experience

Really good location for exploring the area, made very welcome and owners on site to help if occasion needed.

Cottage suited all our needs and above, we were fortunate with the weather but if it had been raining there was plenty of games, books, dvd's etc to occupy us.

We had a really lovely holiday experience,the cottage was outstanding and met our expectations and more.

It was so cosy and comfortable and there was a lovely welcome basket which was very much appreciated.The view from the bedroom was amazing and we relaxed in comfort watching the sheep and lambs in the next field while enjoying the peace and quiet and surroundings.Spot and Bob the farm dogs were great and got on well with our dog.A great holiday.

This was one of the cleanest and best equipped holiday cottage we've stayed at.

The welcome pack was fantastic and the people were lovely and just next door. The scenery was amazing, there was a small play area for little people and the broadband was pretty reliable given where the cottage was located. And the icing on the cake was Bob and Spot - two very friendly Collies! Would definitely recommend.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. Beautiful scenery from the bedroom balcony. We had some wonderful trips out in the countryside and shore. Newquay, Aberaeron, Aberystwyth were worth a visit and we enjoyed walking in the hills at Tregaron.

Beautiful cottage in stunning location with very friendly owners.

Quite isolated but with wifi and 40 minutes to coast. Children loved the dogs and the farm. There was No need for us to go to lots of places but there are many within an hour. Spotlessly clean and everything we needed provided. Supermarket 10 minutes away. Would happily go again.
