This place is amazing!

! I don't really want to give it such a good review as I'd love to keep it available just for us!! In the heatwave, the cottage stayed lovely and cool due to its age and the thickness of the walls. The river was still flowing which made it even more stunning. The garden was still beautiful despite the lack of rain. The owners put a lot of their hearts as well as effort into keeping everything so well maintained. The welcome gift of homemade cookies and treats for the dogs were delicious. The information packs they've made up are amazing and so helpful. The local roads are narrow and winding with rather a lot of hairpin bends that add to the character of the Hamlets and villages around the area. Definitely worth following the directions that are sent to you by the owners as it was much less of a white knuckle ride going that way! You can't let your dogs off lead safely due to being such an open area and local farm animals and wildlife so suggest long line leads or flexi leads to give them a bit more freedom. We found a couple of good secure dog fields to hire nearby as well as some good beaches within an hour, which were great for our 2 to let off more steam. There is so much more that I could say but I know I'll miss even more things out. We will definitely be making return visits.

We have just come home from lovely weeks stay at Kingfisher Cottage.

We have really enjoyed it and have no complaints at all. We really appreciated all of the information provided on nice walks and places to visit, and our children loved playing the different board games from the games room!

We have just enjoyed a wonderful stay at this fabulous cottage and couldn't have asked for more.

The location is absolutely perfect – peaceful, picturesque and an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. The owners have truly thought of everything. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped with everything you could possibly need, making it feel like a real home from home. The attention to detail throughout is outstanding, and the cleanliness is absolutely superb. One of our favourite features was the beautiful gardens, which are perfect for a relaxing stroll or simply sitting and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The games room was another fantastic addition, with a wealth of local information, maps and recommendations that made planning days out so easy. The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, always on hand if needed while still allowing complete privacy. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. It's a real gem, and we look forward to returning in the future.

This is probably one of the best-equipped holiday cottages I’ve ever stayed in, it was spotlessly clean. Everything had been thought of, from the well-stocked kitchen to the wealth of local information, maps and guides provided. Adrian was friendly, helpful and available if needed, while still giving guests their privacy. The shared gardens are absolutely stunning and really made mine and my dogs holiday. It felt like having access to a beautiful private park, and you can clearly see the love and hard work that has gone into creating them. I travelled with my two dogs. There are lovely walks straight from the front door, a gentle stream to explore, and a beautiful public footpath above the property, which became our favourite evening walk watching the bats flying overhead at dusk was lovely, and the whole setting felt incredibly peaceful. It is worth noting that the grounds are not fully enclosed, and to access the riverside walk you need to take your dogs through the shared area first. The driveway and courtyard are also shared with the neighbouring cottage. During our stay, the neighbouring guests chose to move their outdoor table beneath our kitchen window, which meant there was a little less privacy than we expected when using the kitchen or coming and going with the dogs. This didn’t spoil our holiday at all. Overall, this is a lovely place to stay in a beautiful setting, and I’d certainly recommend it. We’d happily stay here again. Thank you.

Fabulous property in a very peaceful location. Really well equipped and amazing gardens to explore - the stream was great for the dogs to paddle in and cool off! Lots of places within easy reach by car - we went north,south,east and west - every direction contains some lovely attractions.

We had the most amazing stay at Kingfisher Cottage.

The cottage itself is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and more. You can really tell the owners have put so much thought and care into every little detail to make guests feel welcome. The location is just stunning — tucked away in such a peaceful rural setting without feeling too isolated. The stream running alongside the cottage and the surrounding woodland made it such a special place to explore, especially with the dogs. It was lovely being able to step outside and enjoy such beautiful walks straight from the door. The owners have really gone above and beyond with all the information provided about the local area. We loved using the games room too, which was a brilliant extra touch and full of maps, ideas and recommendations for places to visit. It made the perfect base for days out, trips to the beaches and exploring the surrounding areas, but was equally lovely to come back, relax and enjoy the cottage itself. We also used the electric car charging facilities during our stay, which were really simple and convenient to use. A truly beautiful, relaxing place to stay. We would highly recommend Kingfisher Cottage and would happily return.

It is in a beautiful, very peaceful setting and is spotlessly clean & comfortable, with a spacious, open-plan living area which was ideal for us and our dogs. The owners are kind & welcoming and have provided everything you could think of to make your stay a happy one. The information about the cottage itself and the local area was amazing! So detailed and useful. We enjoyed walking in the wooded gardens by the stream, behind the cottage- beautiful. The property is really well suited to dogs and our two young ones had a lovely time. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this part of SW Wales, especially the beaches which are glorious, even on a rainy day. Thank you for a super holiday.

Kingfisher has everything you need (and more), it is spotlessly clean and in a great location for exploring. The owners have gone above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay from freshly baked cookies on arrival to information about the area in abundance. We took our 3 dogs and they loved the endless beaches, all within a short driving distance of the cottage. Highly recommend the curry sauce with your fish and chips from Neils! Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a visit to this area of Wales.

Kingfisher is a really lovely place, the accommodation is exceptional.

The hosts Adrian & Anita ( and Milo ) keep the place to a very high standard, it is spotlessly clean, comfortable and has all the items you need. There is an incredible amount of information available to help you enjoy the area. The communial games room with a pool table and dart board is an added bonus as is the wood burner for those chilly evenings. A walk in the superb garden is highly recommended. We would love to visit again sometime in the not to distant future. Can't recommend highly enough, thank you. Brent &Janet

Lovely cottage, very clean and tidy.

Ideally located to explore mid-south Wales. Garden was superb and the dogs enjoyed a dip in the river. Lovely oners onsite should you need anything. The games room was used daily after a day out for a game of pool. Hopefully can go back one day.

The house was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. It was our third time visiting Wales, and this was by far the best and cleanest accommodation we’ve stayed in. We were very pleased and pleasantly surprised. The hosts were very friendly and helpful — everything was just perfect. We highly recommend it!

We loved the idyllic setting.

It was so peaceful sitting outside on the patio sun trap, hearing the river flowing past. We really appreciated the wealth of information on things to see and do in the area, and especially the OS maps as they are expensive investments for just one week. The children loved the games room and they made very good use of it! Great to have something to tear them away from screens. The laundry facilities were fantastic; we'd have had no worries about how to get clothes dry, even if we'd not been lucky with the weather. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and a perfect balance of "there if you need", but not intrusive. The house was very well equipped. We could happily have spent longer at Kingfisher Cottage. We really felt that the owners took time to think of everything to make their guests' stay a great experience, and we thought it was altogether great value for money.

This is a wonderful cottage, the best we have ever stayed in.

The hosts had thought of everything, the kitchen equipment, the availability of board games with laminated instructions, excellent local information highlighting dog friendly locations. Maps and instructions for beautiful walks. The gardens were stunning and the kids loved exploring them and looking at the river. Fab base to explore southwest wales, we explored Tenby, went to a local waterfall, did the four waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons, loved Heatherton adventure park for the kids and lastly pony trekking in the black mountains on the way home. The cottage was exceptionally clean and very pretty .

It included everything you need inside for a great stay to a beautiful garden that the dogs absolutely loved. The information that was available for places to go and walks , beaches etc was the best & most informative I’ve ever seen in any cottage we have ever stayed in !Adrian & Anita are perfect hosts also . Absolutely fantastic hosts.

Kingfisher cottage is fastiduosly clean. There are so many extras that have been so carefully thought out. The games room has a wonderful selection of board games, outdoor games and the pool table that are all complimentary. The laundry facilities are extremely useful and were a life saver with two small babies and a toddler - no body can pack enough for those - and again complimentary - there is a dedicated dog washing bath and towels and shampoo that Anita and Adrian very kindly let you use, again, this is free of charge - they really give you so many extras, which I have never known the extent of before. The gounds are lovely and well kept - it was a delight to walk along the river in the morning and then snuggle up with the log burner in the evening - and you guessed it - the logs for your entire stay are provided. The homemade biscuits on arrival were yummy and Milo the labradoodle even left some treats for our fur babies. The electric car charging was a real bonus and made the stay worry free. Will deffinately be going back.

! We were blown away with this find, the garden is AMAZING!! And the cottage has everything and more to make it a home from home getaway. Anita and Adrian were very approachable, friendly and very welcoming. This part of wales has the most beautiful walks and surroundings. Took our 2 dogs and they had the best time with lots of walks. The wood burner was wonderful and made our stay over Christmas magical. There is so much information the hosts had really thought about everything and everyone. Would 100% recommend this getaway and we will definitely be returning.

A very well maintained cottage with excellent facilities in a beautiful setting.

We arrived to a warm welcome by Anita and Adrian who made us feel very much at home. The walks around the cottage are stunning which all added to a very relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

The property was spotless on arrival and they have thought of everything so you want for nothing whilst there. They have even gone to the trouble of providing lots of information on local activities, days out, walks with maps and lots of places to visit in the surrounding area and further a field. We would highly recommend this property for your holiday.

We had a fantastic stay.

We were greeted on arrival by Anita and their labradoodle Milo, who made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was very clean and well furnished. A real home from home. The garden was a delight to explore for the family and Willow our dog. The games room provided some great entertainment and the information on the surrounding area was extremely helpful. We completed several of Milos favourite walks during our stay.

Every little detail was carefully thought out. The lovely little doggie box, filled with treats, dog bags and dog comb for our little pup was very sweet as well as the beautiful home made cookies, tea and coffee and milk for the humans. The cottage was everything we had hoped and more. The games room was brilliant for the children and was very well equipped with additional entertainment such as bored games and outdoor activities. Kingfisher was a beautiful cottage.

The location was so beautiful and peaceful, if you want busy then this place is not for you but it you want peace and quiet then this is the ideal place, just a 30 minute drive and you are on the coast with so many beautiful beaches. Adrian and Anita were so helpful and knew so much about the area. They have done such a good job looking after the forest but also letting nature do its bit.

A comfortable property in excellent order and very clean & tidy.

Located in a rural farming area in a quiet valley. Although the property does not have it's own garden the property owners garden, which is extensive and available for use both by humans and canines, is immediately behind this rental property. We found it easy to locate and in easy driving distance to attractions along the coast. On our arrival we were met by the owners who we found to be very welcoming and who had available a substantial selection of maps and things to do information.

We had a lovely stay at the Kingfisher home for fourteen days.

Very dog friendly because of the facilities the owners provided us with (sa dogshower). A beautiful back yard with beautiful walking pads along a small river. The owners were very kindly and helpfully. And above all the house was very clean. Although it was mentioned that the internet was poor, it was sufficient for our stay.

Absolutely amazing property!

Home away from home. Every little detail has been thought of. There is a very well kept library with plenty of local information including maps. The games room is an excellent idea with lots of different activities. A shared laundry room was well equipped and our clothes dried overnight with no problems. The whole property is spotlessly clean. Beds are very comfortable and very quiet location. The grounds are very beautiful and well looked after. A very pleasant stroll up towards the pond, there was a gravel path which my wife could use her disability scooter quite easily. Anita and Adrian were excellent hosts nothing was too much hassle. Our dogs loved the treats left by their dog Milo. After a long drive the homemade cookies, tea, coffee and milk were a very welcome gift. The Wi-Fi could do with being a little bit quicker but this wasn't a problem as we were aware of this in the property description. In a perfect location to explore surrounding areas, Tenby, Cardigan, Saundersfoot, Pendine and other secluded beaches all less than an hours drive away. Will definitely visit again 100% recommended Thank You For A Wonderful Break

From the beginning of our stay to the end we had the most lovely time at Kingfisher Cottage.

The attention to detail and thoroughness that the owners have provided for their guests is like nothing we have experienced before. We used the games room every day and the whole family loved walking through the grounds every morning with our dog. The log fire was really warm and the beds were comfortable. Everything a family of 5 plus a large dog could need. Thank you for everything and we would definitely stay again!

Amazing cottage.

Anita and Adrian have thought about everything you could possibly want and even the little touches are so thoughtful. One of the best cottages I have ever stayed in bed was so comfortable and the towels lovely and fluffy. Amazing that we could take all 3 dogs and no extra charge.

We had a short break of 4 nights here during the half term school holiday with my daughter and grandchildren.

We loved everything about this lovely home. The weather was awful, but we did manage to have several walks along the river in the garden with the dogs

Wonderful to relax with the dogs no need to worry about walks and traffic withe the tremendous garden area which we used every day with relaxed calm.

This is a beautiful cottage in amazing grounds with helpful friendly owners.

I have honestly never stayed anywhere as well equipped as here, everything you might need is provided. There is a games room with a cupboard full of different games and puzzles, a pool table, darts and an outdoor trunk of outdoor games too along with things you can borrow for days out like buckets and spades. The owners have taken such time to collate information about local tourist attractions and have a comprehensive guide for guests with dogs regarding beaches and local walking routes to try. We had a fantastic stay here and highly recommend it.

The owners should be very proud of this property you can not fault it in any way beautiful you can not want for anything they have though of everthing the games room was a bonus it would take alot for another property to match this had a lovely time so relaxing thought my 13 year old son would be bored but quiet the opposite he would love to live there there garden is amazing the dogs loved it will defanatly be going back a 5 star plus accommodation thankyou to you both for a lovely holiday

Adrian and Anita couldn't be nicer or try any harder to make your stay everything you'd like it to be. The valley garden is a delight. Wish I'd seen the rhododendron, but the daffs and hellebores were super. Well done, guys!

The cottage is delightful in a quiet and peaceful setting. It is very well maintained, fully equipped with everything you need for your stay and was very clean so we were able to just move our things in and begin our holiday. A lovely games room and beautiful gardens to wander in. There are plenty of places nearby to visit and some lovely villages and excellent beaches a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kingfisher and would not hesitate in recommending this property.

The area in which the holiday let is located is rural and stunning.

The building is set off the road, with no traffic sounds and has parking outside. The space is clean and ample for a family and clearly very well cared for. There is a shared games room with darts and pool which we enjoyed, with cleaning products to ensure the space was COVID safe. The owners are very nice, and took the time to chat to our little boys, we will definitely be back!

A beautiful cottage, right in the middle of the Welsh countryside but with plenty of beaches and facilities in easy driving distance.

Anita and Adrian, the owners of the property, could not have been more welcoming - even making fresh cookies for our arrival! The cottage was immaculate and had everything we could possibly need for our stay (for example, an array of pots and pans for cooking, every imaginable cooking utensil and plenty of crockery.) There is a shared games room between the properties, with a pool table, a darts board and a variety of games available. Out two children made good use of this room. The cottage is in a beautiful location, with a river and a short woodland walk to the side. We've had a lovely, relaxing break and were sad to go home at the end of the stay. We would highly recommend this property.

Absolutely perfect location for exploring Pembrokeshire, including local walks on your door step and not forgetting the most beautiful gardens carefully tended by Anita and Adrian.

The whole family is catered for with indoor and outdoor games and not forgetting the dog too! Really enjoyed having a game of pool in the games room which also accommodates an amazing array of information that would rival that of any tourist information centre which together with Anita’s suggestions ensured we maxed out our stay. Thanks for a lovely time. Would certainly recommend this as a place to stay :)

As a dog owner, and regular to booking holiday cottages, an enclosed garden means that you can let the dogs off safely into a garden first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

Whilst this garden is exceptional, it was not enclosed.

Adrian and Anita were very welcoming and friendly and have put a lot of effort into the guest experience which really shows. The woodland trail at the property is really special with benches by the river and the most beautiful gardens surrounding. Super comfy beds and a well equipped property. I would not hesitate in recommending this property.

From crockery to pots and pans everything you need is catered for . The property is situated in beautiful gardens and woodland walks . Their private wood and walk is truly special and was a joy to visit daily with a bubbling stream passing by the cottage. And the cottage is well placed for visits to Saundersfoot and Tenby and all of Pembrokeshire for a longer day trip if you want. Thanks again for a wonderful stay in a truly special place.

Cottage was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. It is also so well set up for dogs, everything has been thought about. There is plenty to explore in the local area. The owners made us feel very welcome and were very helpful.

Cottage was fantastic very clean and well equipped the owners are friendly and helpful, our dogs loved the walks nearby and the garden, ideally situated for visiting South Wales looking forward to returning would definitely recommend.

We were very lucky to chance upon a cancellation which enabled us to have 5 nights in this lovely cottage.

In this time of Covid, we hoped to escape to the country, enjoy a different 4 walls whilst staying safe ourselves and keeping others safe. The lengths the owners have gone to to ensure safety are second to none. The cottage was impeccably clean, everything superfluous removed, whilst still being offered as available as long as they had been quarantined (DVD's, maps of the area, brilliant walking guides etc) The kitchen was better equipped than my own, making self catering very easy. The beds were super comfy. Communication with the owners was excellent - on hand if we had enquiries - we didn't know the area at all and they were really helpful in pointing out places to visit - we didn't have enough time to visit them all, so we'll be back!

Adrian & Anita did everything to make sure we had everything that we needed and the cottage was fantastic. Extremely clean, spacious, well equipped and comfortable for the 5 of us, plus our dog. The open plan living space & kitchen with the log burner was really lovely, and we all enjoyed the games room and comprehensive local information that they provided. All set in beautiful surroundings and we loved exploring the stunning Welsh countryside & coastline. Thank you a fabulous few days. The Perry Family

The cottage was spotless and very comfortable, however, we did not have control of the heating and although the owners lived on site, we did not want to keep asking them at varying times of day and evening to alter the heating for us.

We did, however, very much enjoy the endless supply of logs. The woodburner was very efficient and easy to use. We would suggest that it would be even better if there were a freezer; even if this was shared with the other cottage, in the laundry room. With the cottage being so far from main shops it would be extremely useful to put loaves of bread and joints of meat in, rather than having to shop more frequently.

Cottage is a credit to Adrian and Anita the owners it’s immaculate with a fully equipped kitchen all crockery, pans and utensils you need it’s like home from home .Beautiful gardens to walk in my grandchildren loved every minute paddling in the stream . My 9yr old granddaughter also enjoyed playing pool in the games room with her dad. Couldn’t have asked for nicer break it was wonderful , hope to be going back soon .

Beautiful gardens and tranquil woodland trail.

Fantastic games room stocked with more useful information than a Visitor Information Centre. Cottage was the best equipped we’d ever experienced. Lovely helpful hosts. A long drive for us but well worth it. Would definitely return.

I always book the places that look a little hidden away, they always seem to excel.

Clean spacious nicely refurbished. Like a new but old building. Great wood land walk behind the cottage our dog loved running through the water which is unusual. Good value for money owner very helpful. Well placed to visit north south or east. Loved Manorbia beach and castle

We have returned to Cwmbach but stayed in Kingfisher this time rather than Redkite.

..we have had the most amazing time(despite the weather)The cottage is extremely clean,everything you need to have comfortable and enjoyable holiday is there and Adrian and Anita are always there to help and to advise. My parents wanted to discover Wakes for a while and they could not have done it from the better place.This is by far one of the best places we have ever stayed.

The accommodation and location was fabulous.

The cottage was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Everything was well thought out. The location with the private woodland garden and stream was amazing. We all loved it (including the dogs). For the USP was being able to take our 3 dogs

The cottage is beautiful with amazing scenery around it. It was clean and very welcoming hosts upon our late arrival. Freshly baked cookies were a lovely little touch along with tea coffee and milk for us to settle in. The games room was full to the brim of information for us to plan each day and the cottage owners also gave us lots of information when we saw them to help us get the most out of our trip. We had two dogs and a two year old with us and there was plenty for all of them to do keep occupied!! There is a really useful laundry room for you to use and the one night I forgot I had a wash on, I went to sort in the morning to find it had been hung out for me - this was really lovely to be so well looked after and the little touches really did make all the difference. We enjoyed exploring the local areas as well as day trips further away and then Evenings cooking and watching films in the cottage. There is NO phone signal however there is enough WiFi within the cottage for you to google and plan your days so it was absolutely fine. We would 100% recommended this cottage for a family week away. Bring your wellies as the local walks are muddy but beautiful and real fun to splash in muddy puddles !!!!!

The location is just a wonder with a peaceful and relaxing surrounding - a great for unwinding and escaping from the busyness of city life! Adrian and Anita are truly fantastic hosts and made our stay even more enjoyable with all your help and guidance. It was a very relaxing location with all kinds of facilities and activities nearby, I could spend a month there to recharge and yet, keep myself busy.

Kingfisher Cottage was a delight to walk into.

The owner Adrian welcomed us and gave us a few pointers on dog walks around his land, which is vast. We had a lovely welcome pack with homemade cookies, lovely.
