“We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.”
This is probably one of the best-equipped holiday cottages I’ve ever stayed in, it was spotlessly clean. Everything had been thought of, from the well-stocked kitchen to the wealth of local information, maps and guides provided. Adrian was friendly, helpful and available if needed, while still giving guests their privacy.
The shared gardens are absolutely stunning and really made mine and my dogs holiday. It felt like having access to a beautiful private park, and you can clearly see the love and hard work that has gone into creating them.
I travelled with my two dogs. There are lovely walks straight from the front door, a gentle stream to explore, and a beautiful public footpath above the property, which became our favourite evening walk watching the bats flying overhead at dusk was lovely, and the whole setting felt incredibly peaceful.
It is worth noting that the grounds are not fully enclosed, and to access the riverside walk you need to take your dogs through the shared area first.
The driveway and courtyard are also shared with the neighbouring cottage.
During our stay, the neighbouring guests chose to move their outdoor table beneath our kitchen window, which meant there was a little less privacy than we expected when using the kitchen or coming and going with the dogs. This didn’t spoil our holiday at all.
Overall, this is a lovely place to stay in a beautiful setting, and I’d certainly recommend it. We’d happily stay here again. Thank you.
