Post House Garden Cottages

Blaenwaun 2 miles. A pair of former outbuildings, including the village mill and its grain store, offering welcoming and cosy accommodation, set adjacent to the owners’ home and surrounded by a fabulous mix of wooded river valley and working farmland. These delightful properties are nestled deep in the fabulous wooded valley, alongside the meandering River Sien in the hamlet of Cwmbach (meaning ‘little valley’), 2 miles from Blaenwaun village and only 18 miles from the historic market town of Carmarthen. Individually furnished with style and comfort in mind, they offer light, airy and modern interiors with well-equipped kitchens, and comfy sofas to relax in front of a film or browse on the WiFi. Both properties have access to a shared games room with a pool table and darts board, and access to a shared laundry area. Guests can also enjoy the owners’ woodland walk, a lovely chance to meander along the little river and perhaps stop and sit awhile with a picnic. They also have shared use of the communal patio and seating just next to the cottages. These rural Carmarthenshire cottages are surrounded by unspoilt countryside, which undulates across the county to beautiful Cardigan Bay to the west, and the stretches of golden beaches to the south, while the mystical Preseli Hills, 20 miles away, provide a diverse landscape for those looking to explore. Carmarthen is 13 miles away, and offers everyday shopping and a selection of independent shops. Why not take a trip to the boathouse in Laugharne the famous home of Dylan Thomas, or visit the harbourside town of Saundersfoot? A perfect pair of countryside cottages, ideal for family, friends or small groups looking to get away in pretty, rural countryside.

About the location

BLAENWAUN

Carmarthen 18 miles; Tenby 26 miles.

Blaenwaun is a pretty little village in the rolling countryside of Carmarthenshire, which boasts a welcoming village pub. It is considered to be one of the highest villages in the West Wales Peninsula and is proud of the fact it used to have the smallest post office in Wales, which is now an exhibit in the National History Museum of Wales, Cardiff. With so many walks criss- crossing the area, you will be able to enjoy the serene tranquillity of the undulating countryside. Alternatively why not visit the village of Crymych, a perfect gateway to the majestic Preseli Hills, home of the blue stones of Stonehenge and part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park? A short drive south opens up the stunning sandy beaches, coves and harbour towns of South Wales.
