Yewtree Cottage is a charming, mid-terrace cottage situated in the village of Defynog near Sennybridge, Brecknockshire.
The cottage overlooks the oldest yew tree in Europe, Defynnog Yew and the local cemetry, whilst being close to the amenities of Sennybridge, Yewtree Cottage is a lovely escape for families, friends and their canine companion.
Begin your stay in the open-plan living space, where you can settle down on the sofa and enjoy a movie night on the Smart TV, or gather around the dining table for a mealtime with loved ones.
All the while, the designated chef of the group can rustle up some of their best dishes in the well-equipped kitchen, complete with all the appliances you need to create a memorable feast.
When the sky darkens, make your way upstairs to discover the two doubles, one with a Smart TV, and a bunk, all serviced by a shower room for refreshing rinses.

Lovely cottage, just a couple of little things , like lack of hanging space, it’s ok for a weekend but longer you’d need something, also bathroom could do with some hangers for wet towels.
Bathroom has recently been redone and is lovely, bunkbeds are large and fits adults. Kitchen is very well stocked with crockery and glasses etc, great if you can’t be bothered with washing up as you can load up the dishwasher
Disappointed with property.
Heating downstairs didn’t work nor the lights in kitchen, grave yard came right to house with nearest headstones a few metres from back of house. House on a busy main road which affected sleep of those at front of house.
We arrived at the property after travelling over 7 hours.
Deeply disappointed with the location and state of the property. Lots of items not working dirty and poorly maintained and grubby. Contacted the owner when first having issues…. No reply. However did reply immediately when I text the following morning stating we had left the morning after arriving. Having had to book alternative accommodation. Yes it was that bad! Beds were very uncomfortable, springs totally shot, shower dirty with mould and not working. Properly on a very busy road with single glazed windows in disrepair, a graveyard as a back garden. Got no more than 2 hours sleep that night. Best thing about this property was the new kettle and toaster.
