    “An idyllic spot!”

    A totally relaxing 10 day stay in a beautiful, peaceful location with welcoming hosts and gorgeous cats, chickens and horses. Definitely hope to return. (And a very comfy, roomy bed!).

From here, enjoy a romantic meal for two at the dining table or settle down in the sitting area beside the woodburning stove and catch up on your favourite TV shows.

The apartment offers an enclosed shared rear garden perfect to relax after a day exploring the local countryside.

Dol Llan Farm Cottages

A cluster of former farm buildings, offering welcoming accommodation situated around the owners’ farmyard with views across the valley to the quaint riverside town of Llandysul, in the heart of rural Carmarthenshire. These valley cottages are ideally located in a peaceful setting surrounded by the owners’ farm with stunning Welsh horses and ponies and a short five minute drive from Llandysul town. Llandysul offers a selection of local shops and pubs and is just half an hour’s drive from the county town of Carmarthen or the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay. Each individually furnished with their own unique style, these properties offer flexible accommodation for families or small groups. These diverse cottages are clustered around the farmyard with the buzz of everyday life around you and views across the fields. Each property has a feeling of privacy and is comfortably furnished. The cottages offer modern kitchens, with electric ovens in two of the properties, all with electric hobs, dining areas and comfy seating to relax into after a day enjoying the diverse countryside that surrounds the town and little river valley, and all with TVs and DVD. With access for all the cottages to a communal seating area. You may be happy to relax and just enjoy the slow pace of life and tranquil view. These rural Carmarthenshire cottages are slightly off the beaten track, with plenty of opportunities to walk, cycle and even make the most of the River Teifi that runs through the town with either fishing, or in Llandysul you can grab a wet suit and take part in some whitewater canoeing and paddling. The coast is 15 miles away at the pretty seaside village of Llangrannog, or the stunning sands at the National Trust’s Penbryn Beach. A little further north is the regency harbour town of Aberaeron, 18 miles, with its multi-coloured houses lining the harbour and surrounding streets or perhaps visit the nearby National Trust’s Llanerchaeron, a working farm estate, where you can take a stroll to Aberaeron town along the old railway, a great way to while away a few hours and perhaps treat yourself to a honey ice-cream at your destination. There are a fabulous array of outdoor activities nearby with canoeing in nearby Llandysul, walking, cycling and birdwatching. Why not visit Brecha Forest with its fantastic walking and cycling trails, a real favourite of mountain bikers, or the adjacent Llanllwni Mountain with is stretch of heathland and impressive views? The nearby coastline opens up fantastic days with the coastal path taking you through sandy beaches, craggy coves and secret beaches. Why not take a wildlife watching boat trip, from New Quay where you may be lucky enough to catch sight of the bay’s resident dolphins or grey seal population, as well as a myriad of birdlife? An ideal trio of countryside cottages, offering an ideal base for couples, families and small groups looking to stay surrounded by countryside, yet being within walking distance or a short drive from popular market towns and close to the fabulous West Wales coastline.

Visit nearby New Quay or one of the numerous beaches on the Cardiganshire, Carmarthenshire or Pembrokeshire coastline. Boat trips to spot dolphins, whitewater rafting or a trip on a steam railway may appeal, or how about a day out to explore all the historic castles, mills and formal gardens? A wonderful base for touring this delightful area of Wales.
