“The cottage has a lot of potential.”

Lovely location, garden was secure for dogs, kitchen was well equipped & it felt very private, lots of lovely features such as the log burner & wooden floors, staircase was very sweet & the attic room was very specious. Unfortunately, it was very run down. The double bed was incredibly uncomfortable, when we stripped the bed at the end of our stay we could see it was an old mattress with just a mattress topper in an obvious attempt to make it more comfortable. The duvet was yellow & dirty. Thankfully, the white bedding was fresh & clean. The sofa cushions were non existent, no springs or padding left in the tiny sofa & the tub chairs incredibly uncomfortable. The shower was the biggest let down with a lot of mould in the grout & excessive mould on the bathroom ceiling. Cobwebs & dust everywhere. Bedroom lighting was awful, very very dull & dark & the furniture was old & marked very badly. We don’t watch much tv on holiday but if we hadn’t been able to get out we’d have struggled as not even a fire stick & minimal channels. The cottage was very very basic & over all a let down. We still enjoyed our weekend but feel that honest reviews would be much more helpful.
