Lovely quiet village, almost no traffic, with fantastic views all around, even from the house windows. The beds and three-piece suite were very comfortable, and the cottage was well equipped, albeit in a quite old-fashioned way. A rare and refreshing example of a cottage whose owner doesn't assume that all guests want giant TVs everywhere, and actually provides radios (4, no less), with just one small TV.

The place is clean, no question, but more work needs to be done to remove cobwebs from behind furniture and on ceilings, and to deal with the moth problem - I personally removed around 50 in a 5 day stay.
Now, dogs. Because of its siting, the house also does not receive enough air to be able to drive out the pervasive dog smells from the carpets - a sprinkle of Shake 'n' Vac is not enough. And there were dog hairs in the carpets and on some furniture - not what you want to see, especially if dogs have no special appeal to you.
The little back garden is pleasant, although next door's kitchen window bizarrely looks directly onto/into it - you can tap on it and say hi as you watch them washing up. A privacy screen would make it much nicer.
