    “Our second visit to this property was sadly very disappointing.”

    Dirty underpants left in the wardrobe, numerous cobwebs, black mould on the blinds and windows in the bedroom and en suite is not acceptable. We raised this as a complaint and received a very dismissive reply from the owners. The least we expected was an apology but this was not forthcoming. We are very disappointed and will not return for a third time.

    I am truly sorry. We are very responsive to guests, and we could have arranged for any issue to be rectified to your satisfaction at the time had we known about it. As you will know from your previous visit, we take the cleanliness and quality of our home extremely seriously. It is our priority that guests have the best possible experience. Sykes only contacted us after your stay to raise the issue of mould on the blinds and we have since investigated with our cleaning company. Unbeknownst to us, our regular cleaner was off for a few days and had arranged temporary cleaning cover - cover which clearly fell short of our usual standards - and they did not clean the blinds when they should have. Our cleaner has apologised profusely for this and all we can do is add our own sincere apology to hers, and pass on assurances that this situation will not happen again. Obviously the blinds were thoroughly cleaned on her return. We have had no contact at all from you directly which is a shame as we would have done everything possible to solve the problem at the time. Our phone numbers are easily accessible to every guest and we do our best to help in any way we can. We did not know you had any problems during your stay, and the first we knew was an email from Sykes some time after you had left. We would always ask that if our guests have a problem they contact us directly so that we can sort it out asap. You will see from other guests feedback that we are easy to contact and have helped with all sorts of things over the years. Property Owner
