However the place was spotless and upstairs the bath [shower] room and the bedroom are very nice with an efficient shower and comfortable bed. Downstairs the front room, which is entered directly from the street, is quite dour and would benefit from some bright soft furnishings or pictures. Surprisingly, there is little noise from the road. There is no microwave in the cottage which is a significant omission.
