Ty Henri

As lovely as the stay was the Lounge area was not very private and there was no blinds which meant the car park guests could see straight into the lounge which meant you couldn’t fully relax as if you would with privacy blinds.

The photos when we booked showed there was blinds on the window. This sounds very minor, but when you spend a week in a property, it is a bit of an issue. Apart from the above, we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely in the hotel and the house met our expectations very clean and great facilities. We had a lovely afternoon tea in the restaurant area with great views.

A lovely holiday home with all the essentials needed.

Short walk to the Wales costal path so lots of hiking opportunities and then a lovely hot tub at the end of the day with great views of sea and countryside. Pub also a short walk away which does good food. A great base for the week.

Amazing peaceful chilling holiday.

We love it. Very close to beach.which has two lovely pubs to visit. We will return again a a fourth time. Hot tub a bonus.

What an amazing holiday home.

Fabulous views, accommodation & hot tub. 10 minutes walk & you can be on the dog friendly beach. 2 pubs set back from the beach, both opened every day, serving food & drinks. Both dog friendly. The accommodation has 2 bedrooms downstairs, with Fabulous beds & Ensuite facilities. Upstairs is the kitchen, dinning & lounge all opened plan. We didnt even need to unpack, any soaps, dishwasher tablets, towels. We did use our own towels for the hot tub, but you can hire these from the hotel. Thank you for the wine. I looked at alot of places before booking but we hit the jackpot when we arrived to stay here. If you are looking to stay somewhere I personally recommend this beautiful holiday home.

What a great property!

This is one of those places where the photos don't convey how spacious the property is. The bedrooms are mirror images of each other, so there is no fighting over who gets the "master", both having a huge bed and ultra-modern en-suite facilities. The kitchen is well equipped, and our usual "pack salt, pepper, tea towels, dish cloths, washing up liquid, tea and coffee" wasn't needed. You will need to remember to bring perishables such as milk, bread and butter etc (allergens / intolerances), however there was a greatly appreciated bottle of Prosecco in the fridge waiting for us. There is a dishwasher and washing machine, neither of which we used. Hot water is on demand and there is underfloor heating throughout with thermostats in each room. To save bringing robes and towels for the hot-tub, these can be hired from the hotel for a very reasonable £10 per person for your stay. The decking features good quality, heavy duty wooden furniture, and is perfect after a day on the Wales Coast Path or for your morning brew. Tresaith beach (and pubs) are a half mile downhill walk of about 10 mins. Add 2-5 mins for the return journey ;) Would have no reservation whatsoever in recommending a stay at Ty Henri and we look forward to booking again in the future. Thanks Hen and Will!

Ty Henri was as the pictures show and more.

As a regular visitor to Cardigan/Carmarthen then we were amazed by this property. Set just out the way enough for peace and quiet. But, close enough to Cardigan shopping and facilities. Not to mention the short walk to the beach. Ty Henri was clean, well equipped, very comfortable and modern. The hot tub is a nice addition to help your stay relaxing as well. Overall, easily the best holiday cottage we've stayed in.

We had a lovely relaxing week in Ty Henri.

Bathrooms and bedrooms were excellent. Would definitely recommend. Our son and his GF also stayed next door at Bryn Berwen which they enjoyed, especially the breakfasts. Only things for owners to consider would maybe have an air fryer in the kitchen and some instructions for the washing machine, which we did eventually manage to get working. We also took our own slow cooker which was great to use when we had been out for the day to come back to a prepared meal. Also a few extra towels would have been helpful, however I did ask at the hotel and I was given 2 fresh ones. The family enjoyed the hot tub even though the weather wasn’t great. Would definitely recommend

Very comfortable and well presented accommodation with hot tub.

Certainly enjoyed our weeks stay with our dogs. Staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our trips to beach - good keep fit walk down hill, with lots of steps or follow the road, then uphill 0f 10 minutes twice daily to beach and pub.

Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Ty Henri.

Accommodation was lovely and clean, great that the bedrooms were en suite and the view from the patio was great as well. Also enjoyed using the hot tub in the evening. Only thing missing, which would have been an added bonus, would have been a coffee machine and a DVD player. We always take a few films with us to watch in the evening, luckily we had our portable DVD player with us which had the correct cables to attach to the TV. Just a 10min walk down the hill was a really nice pub and small beach. Next door was the B&B which did evening meals so that's where we ate on the last night. Would highly recommend that and a pub (Ship Inn) in Aberporth, the food in both places were excellent. Would highly recommend Ty Henri to anybody looking for a quiet relaxing holiday.

Great little house in an amazing location we all had a fantastic time.

Property was very good.

Lovely views , very peaceful. Only one moan and that was with the hot tub. There was quite a bit of grit in bottom of tub. And we didn’t use jets in the end as the controls didn’t work well and if on the water sprayed everywhere .

Everything that was needed for a few days stay was available. EV charging point would be a great addition at somepoint. Might be good to advise future gets that the current nearest fast charger is at Cardigan Leisure centre.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely stay - we will definitely book again.

The cottage is well equipped & a really nice touch with a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival. Everything was clean, the bathrooms are really nice and the beds were very comfortable. We were really lucky with the weather so spent quite a bit of time outside / in the hot tub. The views from the upstairs balcony area were amazing. It's safe to say we didn't want to come home!

The property was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Tresaith beach is lovely with an excellent cliff path walk leading to Aberforth a real treat. The Ship Inn was also excellent.

The directions to the property given in the listing should be more precise.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ty Henri.

The house was just as described and had everything we needed. The hot tub was an added bonus and not overlooked at all. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had a lovely afternoon tea at the bed and breakfast next door. I would recommend getting the extra towels and robes for the hot tub as they do come in useful. The only thing was that the house has a bit of a damp problem. The only radiators are heated towel rails in the bathroom so it was difficult to get things dry. Apart from that we had a great time.

Perfect location for exploring Ceredigion and loved this accommodation and layout.

Local walks and beach fabulous.

house is very nice but you are not told that you have a car park at the front so no privacy people leaving early in the morning, the hot tub area could do with updating the furniture all rusty and again you overlook the car park so everyone can see you needs frosted glass fencing is needed so you can open the curtains in the bedrooms

Fabulous holiday home in a great location, plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area .

Very comfortable bed and great shower Everything you need for a weeks stay , we asked for a non slip mat for the shower as we found it slippery and two were send over straight away. The only thing I would say ( and it’s being very picky) the lights high up could do with being dusted and window above main door cleaned.

Ty Henri is a brilliant place to stay, just a 10 minute stroll to a wonderful beach and pub.

The two double bedrooms have loads of storage, decent size tvs and good size bathrooms with powerful showers. Upstairs is spacious with a lovely new sofa and armchair. The curved tv allows views from all angles. We loved the hot tub, went in every day and had a perfect view of the tv to watch the darts and football from there. We only had a couple of minor issues but the were responded to immediately with no fuss, your hosts are great. You will be ideally situated to explore other great places too, by foot or car, we went to a different beach every day. We very much recommend

Great accommodation with everything you need close to Tresaith beach

We had a lovely stay at Ty Henri last week, it was well equipped with everything we could need in the kitchen.

It was clean and the heating worked well. The hot tub was great and again worked well. The view was great when we got to see it through the rain! (It was November after all) It was a pitty that the new blind on the big window made it difficult to make the most of it when inside. The blind gives good privacy at night but would be nice to hold it out of the way somehow for the day. I appreciate this is a difficult thing to do with the triangular window. Overall lovely property. Plenty to do around, particularly if you like the outdoors or a walk. Good supermarket only 0.9miles away on the main road.

Beautifully kept. Lovely big beds. Well equipped property. Lovely view from the hot tub, including directly upwards - many stars that are obscured by lights and pollution where we come from! Super quiet and peaceful. Just excellent.

We had a fabulous week at Ty Henri.

The cottage is beautiful, well equipped and is in a stunning location. Huge comfortable beds and the living room furniture has been upgraded from photos. The only improvement we would suggest is better lighting on the outside deck, as the single wall light doesn’t give adequate brightness, but this is in no way spoiled our experience. We hope to be back.

The property was as we’d hoped.

Our only disappointment was that we never received a visit from the owners throughout our entire stay, we had hoped to eat at the hotel on our first night but the doors were locked. We called the number on the door and we’re simply told they were closed for a private function with no apology. On departure we ventured into the hotel to ask a simple question, the waitress twice over just ignored us, so I had to go and find someone in the kitchen to ask. We’ve stayed in many Sykes properties, but never had this experience before.

We really couldn't fault it: well-equipped, spotlessly clean and with a superb view.

And the staff at the adjoining hotel were really friendly and helpful. We wondered if it would be a little cramped for 4 adults, but as there were only 2 of us it wasn't an issue.

Quiet, relaxing setting and easy walk to the beach. Coastal path nearby in both directions leading to great beaches and cafes. Happy to find a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us and hotel friendly and helpful.

Fantastic house in an idyllic location.

Lots of walks available straight from the accommodation or plenty of places to visit my car. The house is perfect for a family of four and being next door to the B&B is great, they had a limited menu but the food was excellent the staff there were so friendly and helpful. Really have nothing but praise for the place. Would recommend highly, and would definetlylook to return. Excellent stay. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

The property is in a lovely position with plenty of walks,beaches near by.

Ty Henri has all facilities,is very comfortable with a lovely patio and hot tub. Bryn Berwyn country house hotel is next door and do a great breakfast.The hosts Will and Henriatta are lovely and very helpful. We will be back.

We loved our holiday at Ty Henri and the surrounding area, it really exceeded our expectations, the accommodation was really comfy and clean, the hot tub was lovely and the facilities were excellent.

The only thing that could have been better was if we were provided with more kitchen roll, toilet roll and foil- they all ran out very quickly with only a few days supply and as we were there for a week we had to buy more, but other than that it was perfect!

We had a brilliant stay at Ty Henri, we already can't wait to go back and understand why it is always booked up.

A 10 minute walk to the beach, the walk back definitely gets quicker, a lovely pub right on the beach with great food and stunning views. Our 2 boys loved seeing the ponies right outside the fence every day. It was so enclosed and safe, and we definitely enjoyed the use of the hot tub. The boys had space to ride their bikes, lovely views out to see and in close proximity of Cardigan one way and New Quay the other. Ty Henri had every utensil you could ever need in the kitchen, lots of space, and the bedrooms are beautiful with plenty of storage in the wardrobe and dresser. Everywhere very clean, thank you for such a lovely week! Can't fault a thing.

Holiday was amazing.

The property was perfect with a beautiful view of the sea, just loved everything about it and will return.

Had a lovely holiday at the property, just 2 minor things that weren't up to standard no outside lights on balcony worked and also furnishings in living area a big tatty.

(A family of 4 with two dogs) First time staying at Ty Henri and won’t be our last.

The accommodation is spacious, clean and fully equipped and is true to description and photos. The hot tub was lovely to come home to after a busy day, with either a sea view or overlooking a field with horses, which we’re lovely. We will miss the horse that came to visit us daily. We had two issues with the hot tube over our 7 day stay but I can not fault how quick these issues were resolved and the gentleman that came to fix them was very friendly and helpful. Ty Henri had everything you could think of in terms of appliances and cleaning products. The only thing we thought was missing was a sweeping brush which would of been handy. The sofa and chair were very comfortable in the living area and the kitchen was lovely and spacious with plenty of storage and a good size fridge and freezer. The bedrooms were also very clean tidy and a good size, with plenty of storage. The bathroom and shower were lovely. The only negative points are that because it’s a upside down house you can hear all the noise of people walking above you up in the living area and kitchen, which made it difficult if you wanted a lie-in or early night. We also found the pillows incredibly uncomfortable which did effect our quality of sleep so if you are someone who is fussy about pillows make sure to bring your own. The bed itself was very comfortable. We took our two dogs with us who also loved it, and the area was incredibly dog friendly. This is the best area we have found to take our dogs on holiday with us. The Tresaith beach is about a 10 minute walk away and a lovely pub right next to beach called the Ship Inn which does amazing food and staff are very friendly and welcoming and the pub is also dog friendly. There is also a cafe that does very nice food and delicious ice cream and is also dog friendly. There is a lovely costal walk which takes your from Tresaith beach on to Penbryn beach. The views from the top are stunning. We can not wait to go back hopefully next year. Definitely a 5 star rating from us.

Lovely cottage in beautiful location.

We had everything we needed, hot tub was a bonus. Henrietta & Will do a fab job and the b&b next door which they run is beautiful. Would definitely recommend and stay again at Ty Henri or Bryn Berwyn. Our booking which was, made for 2020, was unfortunately cancelled due to Covid. I found Sykes completely unhelpful with changing our booking, they offered no refund, move to another property at that time. I believe that has changed and that's good news. We had a lovely holiday.

A fabulous stay, excellent hosts, great accommodation.

The property is set in a beautiful place, with wonderful views and sun sets you will never forget.

A perfect get away. A few hills. Walks around the area and down to the beach are good. Local pubs, restaurants and take aways so you will never go hungry. The owners are very pleasant and their dog is so cute.

The cottage was really good in a lovely location the beds were good such a good sleep and very large indeed The only thing that would be beneficial would be curtains along the front window The owner was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble

Ty Henri is the best accommodation we have stayed in, the whole set up is brilliant and they supplied everything that you could possibly want i.e. tea,coffee, sugar, washing up liquid etc etc. Heating was actually too warm but can be easily turned down, beds so comfy and really lovely having two identical en-suite bedrooms. Hot tub was a bonus and flowing hills surround you and occasional visits from the ponies was nice. We took my daughters dog with us and plenty of space for her to run around, no restrictions on any outside space. Went to many surrounding beaches and Tresaith beach was our favourite, though Poppit sands was hugh and a really great beach. Henrietta always at the end of the phone if you need her too. Would highly recommend.

Ty henri was everything we could have hoped for and more. A really well equipped kitchen, lounge with a lovely view and comfortable bedrooms. The waterfall showers are great after a day out walking.

We had a fabulous week in Ty Henri.

The house is stunning, extremely clean and very well equipt. The views will not disappoint, even with the rainy days we had we never got bored of the views. The morning visitors (horses) were great and visited every morning for a fuss. Location is great and a nice little walk down to the beach. The beach is lovely and quiet and clean, lots of friendly dog walkers there. The pub is also great, beautiful food and a warm welcoming vibe even for our dog. We are already looking to book again for next year.

A very quiet place , beautiful views , lots of leaflets provided for things to see and do for the local and surrounding areas , bed was very comfortable and the whole house was tidy.

Situated in a place that's ideal for being out of the way but close enough to local attractions

I think it would be wise to make people more aware of people being on site re the hot tub as it came as quite a surprise to find someone on the decking one morning.

I also think a small list of local pubs would be very handy re getting local food but on this occasion wasn’t needed due to meeting with a very polite chap called Dllwen who was a wealth of local information whilst he tended to the grounds. My final issue was the barbecue or the lack of one due too it’s poor condition (lid handle being broken meaning not fit for use). Other than that we both thought that the place was wonderful and will always be a very fond memory for us both. We will be highly recommending this place too all loved up couples just wanting the peace and quite we often don’t get in life, so for that I thank you for the 7 day of peaceful bliss.

Beautiful views, lovely and clean house- everything catered for.

Local pub (The Ship Inn) is great for food and very welcoming of the dogs and a great place to watch the sunset. Fantastic coastal walks accessible from beach or from the stream Visited Mwnt, Newquay -and took dolphin trip and we’re lucky enough to see them. We would recommend the Seamor trip as very informative and fun Aberaeron is great for for food and quirky shops Moody Cow cafe for great breakfast and farm shop Good facilities in Cardigan for supermarkets and restaurants too We were spoilt with the beautiful weather all week and having the hot tub with the visiting Shetland ponies was a huge bonus - mind the black and white one though he’s a bit blind and grumpy

The cottage was perfect for us.

It’s location 10 mins from the beach was lovely and you can see the sea from the gorgeous hot tub. The owners were really helpful and the cottage was immaculate throughout. We would definitely recommend it to couples and dog friendly which is a bonus. There are so many beaches within a short drive and walks from the front door. Top tip is the wood fired pizza between Tresaith and Penbryn on a Friday night, award winning great value and incredibly tasty.

Ty Henri is a lovely holiday cottage with fabulous view from the lounge area across to the sea - I wish I could have brought the view home with me!

The cottage was warm and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. I would recommend and we hope to return.

This time yesterday we were on the Sandy cove in tresaith watching the dolphins and seals.

This property exceeds what is expected from self catering you literally only need to bring your food and drink etc: even has dog bowls and pack lunch box's. The property is superb !! very high speck and the hot tub went down very nicely with Champaign on a night time

Overall Really enjoyed staying at Ty Henri, with great views, really comfy bed and modern bathroom and kitchen facilities.

Small points but signs at the bottom of the driveway to the property would have been beneficial. The towel policy was a little tight, having paid so much to initially stay, then being told hot tub towels were extra and then being asked how many were staying so the extra towels could be removed for the spare room! This was in contrast to the kind Bottle of Wine, left by the owner when scaffolders arrived early one morning to make a delivery. Most appreciated.

Loved this cottage for many reasons,lucky to spend most of the time outside due to the heatwave .Hot tub was fantastic in every night.Lots to see round and about ,dog friendly beaches and people so nice , thinking of going back again.

This holiday home was absolutely fabulous.

It was so peaceful with amazing views. The home itself was of a high standard, with lovely comfy beds, stylish ensuites with large showers, plenty of storage in bedrooms, well equipped kitchen. Didn’t want to leave.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely return on a warmer month as we stayed in February when we got hit with the snow.

Big thank you to the owners as we wouldn't of got home if it wasn't for them towing us out. We also loved the hot tub and the layout of the house, the view out to the sea was very picturesque. Would like to come back when the dolphins are there in the summer months.

Quiet location which made the holiday relaxing, view from the living room was really lovely looking out to the sea.

The area we were in was great, beaches lovely and clean and dog (who is only a puppy) loved the sea and the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed are stay, even the weather was kind to us. We are looking forward to returning soon.

A highlight was sitting in the hot tub looking and the sea and being visited by the ponies in the next door field. We booked this property with Bryn Berwyn next door. The two properties together were great for our party.

The holiday cottage was very clean and we had a lovely relaxing week, although on the last night there was a water leak through the ceiling and into the bedroom we were sleeping in, we changed rooms thankfully our friends couldn't make it in the end, managed to find the isolation valves for the water leak in question eventually.

we didn't call the number that was provided at 1am when it happened as we managed to get the water off but tried several times between 7am and 9am eventually we got hold of someone and they came over as they were cleaning the house next door. The hot tub could do with a few more settings, 1 setting and 2 of the 4 seats working is fine as we didn't have friends with us but had we of had friends being able to change the jets at the push of a button would have been nice rather than swap seats. All in all we would recommend it and we would go back (cant have a water leak twice in the same cottage is our thinking) beds comfy and firm good showers good kitchen facilities.

My husband, myself and dog enjoyed an extremely comfortable stay at Ty Henri.

Everything is provided in the home to ensure your every need is catered for and the sparkly in the fridge is an extra bonus that was much appreciated and enjoyed. The house is perfectly situated to enjoy walks along the stunning coastline and is also a short walk to the Ship Inn where we enjoyed a delicious meal. The walk back from the Inn is quite steep and after a strenuous 5 hour walk that day we decided to take the car down but found parking was a premium on the front, so would recommend walking. The only issue, I hate to mention it because I feel we should be able to holiday and not need it, is the wifi. We took a laptop with us and found we could stay connected with no problems, but we simply could not connect with our iphones. Ah well, not that big a deal as far as I am concerned, but it obviously adversely affects some folks' holiday experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hot tub is just such a relaxing, wonderful way of still enjoying the outside space at a time of year you would normally be shut up indoors. In fact we may have to consider investing in one!

Fabulous property furnished and equipped to a very high standard, a home from home.

Located in a very scenic area, we loved the view out to the sea, especially so whilst sat in the hot tub! The weather wasn't particularly good but that didn't spoil our holiday one bit, we thoroughly enjoyed our whole week and can't wait for a return trip.

Everything that you need is at the house and the hot tub a welcome pleasure after a days walking. We would deffinatley stay here again.

Lovely cottage, bedrooms and en suites spacious, good garden for dog well equipped kitchen, felt a little overlooked when the neighbouring accomodation occupied, tresaith not much there 1 pub no shop however was november but overall lovely place, fantastic views.

The house was excellent.

We felt that louver or vertical blinds at the bedroom windows would improve daytime privacy.

Dog owners should be made aware that owners do not want pets in the downstairs at all.
