    “We had the most wonderful week at Top Lodge Wales at the end of July with my husband, our one-year-old daughter and our dog.”

    It was unlike any accommodation we had stayed in before and was absolutely perfect for our little family. From the moment we arrived, Simon and Sherie were so warm, welcoming and helpful. The communication before our stay was excellent, with clear directions and lots of useful information about the farm and the animals.     It was unlike any accommodation we had stayed in before and was absolutely perfect for our little family. From the moment we arrived, Simon and Sherie were so warm, welcoming and helpful. The communication before our stay was excellent, with clear directions and lots of useful information about the farm and the animals. Simon also shared lots of great recommendations for places to visit during our stay, which helped us make the most of the area. The location was perfect as a base for exploring — we visited beautiful castles, abbeys, Roman ruins, ancient woodlands and stately homes, with so much to discover just a short drive away. There are also some lovely local pubs nearby, which made for great options after busy days exploring. Our animal-obsessed toddler was absolutely delighted watching the horses and sheep around the farm, and our dog loved making friends with their dogs too. It was such a lovely, family-friendly place where everyone felt welcome. After days out exploring, it was wonderful to come back, relax in the hot tub and enjoy the incredible views. Top Lodge Wales gave us the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation and something really special that we’ll remember. We would highly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future. Thank you Simon and Sherie for making our stay so enjoyable!

Nestled in the small village of Llanvair-Discoed near Penhow, Monmouthshire, is this superb oak-clad lodge, Top Lodge.
