Skomer Cottage

We love the location of this secluded cottage and have stayed before.

It is great for exploring right from the door and it also cosy and warm. The cottage has fairly basic cooking facilities with no large saucepan (although there is a lid!) and some areas could do with some attention (e.g. beading around some of the pillars and the fact that the shower temperature control seems to be broken so it doesn't get very hot). Also, on this stay there were items in all the wardrobe drawers and in the main wardrobe in the downstairs room which meant there wasn't much storage space. Overall, we would recommend this place, especially for families and hope to return soon.

The property itself is beautiful and the facilities look very smart.

It's a great location for all of South Wales. My only disappointment was with the cleanliness of the property. Whilst I appreciate it's in an old building, the cleaning wasn't the best upon arrival. There was a spider and spider web in the oven glass door, as well as in the cupboards. The floorboards upstairs in the property were incredibly creaky and loud meaning anytime anyone went to the bathroom at night it woke everyone else up. The bathroom itself is well presented but not practical as the shower cubical is so short that when the shower is on, the water goes everywhere. Having said all this, it is a beautiful property and is finished to a lovely standard.

The cottage was lovely with everything required.

Quiet and peaceful surroundings, perfect to wind down. Managed to visit the most fantastic places such as Skomer Island, Marloes Sands, Picton Castle Gardens, Dale East and West beaches. So lucky to see this wonderful part of Wales. Thank you

The cottage is in a good location, and we had a pleasant stay.

However, the property needs some updating-the floorboards upstairs are extremely loud and need replacing - it would wake me up in the night if someone went to the toilet. The mattress on the double bed on the 1st floor needs replacing, both myself and my husband woke up each morning with a bad back. There is no coffee machine or percolator and no hoover!

the Property itself is fine, very alike the photos.

Facility is good. But, when we arrive, there are more than 50 + dead flies everywhere on the floor, we need to clean them by ourselves. not only ground floor, also 1st floor bathroom & hallway. We have contacted the owner/ management, they delivered us a fly killer spray. We used it before we left for dinner. After we come back, even more dead flies since its worked. We need clean up again, we keep cleaning dead flies in these 3 nights, this is our only memory of the holiday. we didn't cook much inside since i afraid it will attract more flies. They explained this is country side and it is normal in this season. I know it is country side but i just didn't expect when i arrived it was that terrible. I have lots of photo but here have no space for uploading. I should not go country side in birthday trip. But, if the fly killer works, they can clean it once at least before we arrive. Since this is not a cheap price for renting this nice property.

It was amazing holidays in this beautiful cottage. If I had to make a few comments, I'd say that a vacuum cleaner, a salad bowl and a large saucepan for pasta are missing. But that didn't stop us from having an unforgettable time in Wales.

Excellent location.

The facilities were excellent - the only thing that would help would be a booklet with information about the property e.g. using the alarm etc.

Second visit here and it's just perfect and soo close to such beautiful beaches

Very nice house with great open plan arrangement downstairs was very neat and clearly recently refurbished to a high standard with lots of thought on how to make the best use of the space.

Also great to have every utensel or modern convience i could posible need ready and waitng in kitchen! Would love to come back.
