“We travel around the UK on our big touring motorbikes visiting different areas for a week and as we are all retired we try to do this every 4 to 6 weeks from March to October.”
This was the smallest property we had used over the last few years but was fine for the four of us, our party can be eight or nine. Parking off road was fine and the property was clean and tidy. The welcome pack was useful and appreciated. the kitchen and bathroom was fine for our use with space to move around. The main room was good with ample seating. The telly was fed via internet with was not working for the first 24 hours but through no fault of the owner - it seems the local tower was to blame. The three bedrooms served their purpose with two being more than needed although the third was a box but again, was only used for sleeping so was not an issue to us. The weather limited our enthusiasm for daily rides but the local pub, The Lamb, made up for any shortfalls. The locals were welcoming and interested in our group and made the pub and the local Co-Op shop a pleasure to use.
Just so you know, apart from the Co-Op, people around here prefer cash! Sometimes, like the pub, it is all they accept. We enjoyed our short visit and may well return to the area and hope for nice weather. I would heartily recommend the village and the property, it was a pleasure.
