“Not all the details of this property on Sykes website were correct.”

It was advertised as having a king sized bed (5ft) when in fact it was only a basic double (4'6"). Had we known this we would have never have booked it. Because the bed was not up to standard, I had to spend the week - our holiday - in a separate bedroom in a single bed. Unless you are a fan of 100% polyester bedding I suggest you take your own duvet covers and pillow cases as these make for very uncomfortably warm nights. Because the bed was not up to standard, I had to spend the week - our holiday - in a separate bedroom in a single bed. Unless you are a fan of 100% polyester bedding I suggest you take your own duvet covers and pillow cases as these make for very uncomfortably warm nights. We have contacted the owner about the above who blamed Sykes for any error on the bed size, stating he didn't know what size it was. A welcome pack consisted of a packet of welsh cakes and a pint of milk. The milk was past its use by date before we arrived ! The cleanliness in the 2 bathrooms ie the plugs in the sinks and the bathroom shower screen seal needed attention(as advised to owner). It is important that Sykes make clear for all future bookings, including those already made, that the main bed is only a 4'6" double and not a king size as currently incorrectly advertised.

As I have advised to you several times since you messaged me on the day you departed about the bed size that this was a genuine error in it’s description which I have sincerely apologised for. I have already asked Sykes to change its website description You also didn’t raise any of the others points you make until after you departed , giving us no time for our professional cleaner to resolve for you during your holiday I also note that you have omitted in your review to highlight that you have also been quite persistent since you departed for a substantial refund for your holiday, which I rejected as it was totally unreasonable. I will say no more and just assume the unfair feedback rating scores you have given my small family business is just your response to this decision. Property Owner

About the location

KILGETTY

Cresswell Quay 2.4 miles; Saundersfoot 3 miles; Yerbeston 3.9 miles; Tenby 5 miles.

The rural village of Kilgetty is situated 2.4 miles from one of the most picturesque villages in Pembrokeshire, Cresswell Quay is best described as a delightful hamlet of scattered cottages at the edge of the tidal estuary. The central focal point is, of course, the old quay where boats can still moor, for the time the tide allows, and you may wish to pop into the Cresselly Arms for light refreshments. Just a short drive from the town of Tenby and offers a selection of shops and pubs, along with its own train station. Kilgetty is central to a number of attractions, with the coastal resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby nearby, offering fabulous beaches, watersports and boat trips to Caldey Island, the home of a small gathering of monks and their monastery. Also nearby is the award winning Folly Farm, which makes for a great family day out and enables you to see a working farm at its best. Oakwood Theme Park is a 10 minute drive away and boasts the biggest wooden rollercoaster in Europe, whilst the spectacular Pembrokeshire coastline and the coastal National Park, a walker's paradise, are also within easy reach.
