“We had a pleasant stay at Mews Cottage.”

It was accurately described. Was interesting that a washing line, ironing board and iron were provided but no washing machine. No matter to us. The issue of the TV remote was sorted out by us. We did inform the owner. The parking is tight next to a wall and under a tree, but we managed. The rear garden is nice though as there are gaps under both gates we kept our dog on lead. Laugharne is a busy village, small town. Lots of pleasant walks and surrounding countryside. Thank you for letting us ...

Situated in a very quiet location within the village. The cottage was very comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. It has a lovely little garden equipped with furniture that we would of used if the weather had been better!! I would definitely recommend.

“We had a nice week at Mews Cottage, everything was clean with a well equipped kitchen.”

We booked fairly last minute, I hadn't noticed that there was no washing machine until after I booked. Travelling with young children we found it a struggle without one. There was a problem with the shower while we were there but the owner responded very quickly to get it resolved which was much appreciated. We had glorious weather so spent most of our days on the beach, you have to drive to get to the beaches - but the beaches in the area are lovely.

Comfortable bed. Very clean, lovely garden to relax in. Lovely local walks with amazing views especially Dylan's Birthday walk. Interesting castle, lots to play with for children or the young at heart. Would definitely recommend this as a holiday destination. Very central to beautiful beaches.

Conveniently located very close to shop, pub, cafe, castle and walks along the estuary. Only downside was the small bathroom but it was well equipped with a lovely walk in shower.

And for the welcoming fresh flowers and wine. All very clean and fresh feeling, well equipped for our needs, great to have private outdoor space too. We did find the allocated parking space a bit tight, even though my car is quite small. One suggestion, as it’s a few yards to carry luggage etc , provision of a small trolley would be greatly appreciated. The Convenience store right next door is well supplied, and it’s a just a short walk to the shore, a really delightful situation, right in Laugharne.

“Hello. We enjoyed staying at the cottage very much thank you.”

The positives were the large clean kitchen with large fridge freezer. Good TV and large sofa in lounge and nice little garden to enjoy. The negatives are little things really. Parking space is tight to access and others need to park well in order to maximise its space. The shower did not stay hot for very long? although the heating was very warm and hot tap in kitchen very hot?? The TV in bedroom could not be used even though instructions followed and both the digibox and TV switched on the screen only displayed 'no signal'. A massive plus would be a downstairs utility with a toilet and washing machine but this is a big ask admittedly! The little cul-de-sac was lovely and the neighbours friendly. A lovely view of the castle from main bedroom window and shop 20yrds very useful. I would stay again but would pack more clothes as no launderette in village. Best wishes to owners.

“We were absolutely delighted with Mews Cottage.”

.what a find. Everything was so comfy and clean. Tucked into the end of the courtyard it was so quiet that once inside you feel you could be in the middle of the countryside it is so quiet. Having a place to park (tho narrow! ) is so convenient as means you can just wander down to the village. Going further afield in the car you have the lovely coastline..we visited Pendine, Amroth and Saundersfoot and in spite of mixed weather had a lovely relaxing short break...just what we needed.

“The cottage was clean and comfortable.”

A dripping tap was resolved promptly. A set of drawers would be useful in the small room off the twin bedroom, especially if older children or adults were using that room. The property summary online, states that there is "allocated parking for 1 car to the side of the property". This suggests it is adjacent to the property and although the location wasn't a problem for us, it might be for some people, eg,if it was bad weather when unloading/loading luggage, especially if arriving in the evening as there is no lighting on the path.

The cottage was lovely, very clean and fresh and lots of storage space. The only thing was the lack of dishwasher and washing machine as there was only 1 towel to accommodate each guest for a week. There were spares but with a note saying to leave for the next guests. Other than that, we loved staying here and will definitely be back! Thank you

“Lovely little cottage in the most amazing village.”

Ideal for travelling around Pembrokeshire. The village has enough facilities to park the car and enjoy. The cottage is spotlessly clean, the garden a bliss. The only noise is the wildlife!! Highly recommended. Would love to go back.

“Had a fabulous stay at Mews Cottage.”

On arrival we were welcomed with flowers, Welsh toffee waffles (my favourite ) a big bag of crisps and a bottle of wine. There was everything you need and more. Tea, coffee (we did bring our own as normally elsewhere this isn't supplied), salt and pepper, boxes to take sandwiches out. Shower was good, and the bed was very comfy. Thank you, will hopefully be back next year.

Laugharne, with its majestic castle standing on a low ridge overlooking the wide Taf River Estuary, is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas, and a visit to his Boat House and the writing shed where he wrote most of his works is a wonderful experience.
