“We have enjoyed another week at Mews Cottage, very conveniently situated near the foreshore and castle, with on-site parking.”

The accommodation is comfortable, very clean and quite minimalist, which we appreciate. The garden is a peaceful sunny spot most of the day. Slight downsides- the shower may need de-scaling? The freezer was quite iced up, not a huge amount of kitchen equipment ( no colander for example), but not a problem for us, we don’t cook much on holiday. The flowers, crisps and wine on arrival were lovely, thank you. Certainly recommend Mews Cottage for a comfortable week.

Thank you for your constructive feedback as this helps us keep the property in tip top condition. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Mews Cottage once again. With regards to the colander, we did have one and I will have a look around in case it has gone ‘walkabout’. The shower has a silicon head and the limescale can be easily removed by simply rubbing the silicon protrusions, but I will check this early next week to make sure the water is running freely again. I will also check the freezer and defrost as soon as possible. Thank you once again for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Property Owner

About the location

LAUGHARNE

Tenby 16 miles.

Laugharne, with its majestic castle standing on a low ridge overlooking the wide Taf River Estuary, is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas, and a visit to his Boat House and the writing shed where he wrote most of his works is a wonderful experience. Beautiful walks in and around the castle, with breathtaking views of the estuary, can be followed by cream teas in quaint little tea rooms, a drink in the local pub or shopping in the gift shops and mini market. The nearby sandy beach at Pendine is where many land speed records have been famously set on its seven mile stretch of beautiful flat sand, and a little further afield are the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot. With walks in all directions, great days out at castles, mills and craft centres galore, this is a perfect base for all the family, at any time of the year.
