116 Woodpecker Lodge

I booked the accommodation in May which was fine and rebooked for August as the configuration of the lodge suited us.

I did find the lodge was not as clean as last time. Hair in the sink in the bathroom, dust on the lamps, fork was dirty and one the cupboard kitchen doors fell off as I walked passed it. It would also have been a good idea to supply a small hoover so guests can use it prior to leaving. We borrowed a hoover from friends who were renting another lodge nearby It didn’t bother us too much as we were out all day but I noticed a difference from the last booking.

Perfect!

The lodge was great nice and clean plenty of room.

The problem was the site the office was always closed the bar was closed there are a lot of lodges for sale .The dog walk is closed as there is a notice at the start of the walk saying it is unsafe .

We had a really enjoyable stay accommodation was lovely liked the little touches of being left biscuits tea and coffee their was everything u needed it was a really nice site and a lot of upgrading going on including the bar area close to lovely beaches and places to visit will definitely return

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.

Woodlands Lodge itself was immaculately kept and quiet which was lovely. The bar was not open but we were meeting friends so hadn’t intended using it. The lodge itself was perfect with one bedroom and bathroom each side of the lodge. Would happily book again.

Third visit to this Lodge and can’t wait to return.

The accommodation was, as always, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Had some lovely walks to Cai Bach and to New Quay. For those that don’t want to take the car, but don’t want to walk back from New Quay, the regular buses stop outside the site. Another great holiday.

We had a wonderful time away plenty of places to visit it was early season when we booked so not many people about I would normally go camping as I have a campervan but my granddaughter asked me to bring her to Wales to see the sites so booked this for comfort and space

We had a lovely week at wood pecker lodge, the property owner was very helpful, everything we could need was available, the location is really good, it’s peaceful and you can hear lots of birds singing in the morning, a great location for local beaches, would love to come back again!

Lovely lodge, clean, comfortable, warm and cosy, great layout having bedrooms and bathrooms separate ends of the lodge.

Very well equipped. The park is lovely and quiet it's the second time we've stayed there but first time in this lodge. A great base for exploring New Quay and surrounding areas, very dog friendly too. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We were delighted with the lodge It was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped, the dishwasher was an added bonus We loved the peaceful location with walks close to hand and New Quay a short drive away.

We'd love to come back.

Lovely caravan and site, few issues with cleanliness, dog hairs on sofa, food waste bin not emptied, but overall very nice holiday.

We enjoyed our stay at Woodpecker Lodge.

The property was clean and cosy and made a great base for our coastal walks. We had mixed weather, but it was easy to make the place warm to dry off on the wet days. We figured it out, but it might help if there were instructions for the electric fire - hopefully you won't need it though! The beds were comfy and the lodge has a good layout if you want some privacy because the two bedrooms are on either side of the lounge/kitchen area and each has its own shower and toilet. There is a bus stop just outside the site which came in handy. The site is relatively small and seemed very quiet with nothing much going on - this was ideal from our perspective. It was raining hard when we arrived, so we made the mistake of not getting out to study the map at the barrier to locate the lodge... It's easy enough to locate 116 if you do take a moment - less haste more speed!

Cleanliness was very poor , cobwebs on lighting fixtures and in corners also toilet had not been cleaned.

Sealant around shower tray looks like it needs to be replaced. Slight tear in bed quilt cover. WiFi took a while to set up but when connected speed wasn’t very good so used own mobile data. Catch on outside gate hard to close also woodpecker sign on gate cracked. Outside storage shed hinges broken and not secured so was moving around during high winds. Seal in washing machine requires cleaning. Stain on one of the single beds (didn’t bother us as we didn’t need to use those beds) Water stains on flip top bathroom bin also papers left inside. But otherwise the stay was lovely we think just think the cleaners need to take more time when cleaning or possibly new cleaners.

A really lovely site if you are looking for peace and quiet.

We didn't use the shop or bar but both looked really nice. Good recycling and waste facilities. Everyone on the site were really friendly. Great for dogs.

The lodge was beautiful and very comfortable.

Little bit disappointed with the outdoor furniture. Could be replaced. The only draw back was the club house was closed all week so had to drive to a pub to have a drink. The site itself is beautiful and found it spotless.

I'll be honest.

I didn't see the reviews until after I'd booked. Some of them were rather unfavourable and I was concerned as we were taking my elderly parents for a much needed break. I was thrilled to discover that the lodge is absolutely beautiful. Immaculate and lovely furnishings. Clean crisp bedding and lovely clean kitchen and shower rooms. The decking a lovely place to sit and gets the sun all day. Very secure aswell, if you have children or a dog. Yes the decking furnature is a little tired and worn. Didn't bother us at all but I think it would need replacing for next season. The site itself is immaculate too. Very quiet. We had a lovely time and will definitely return.

Had a nice few days , site lovely and quiet.

No facilities open though. Lovely lodge , however lacks love. Blinds on windows dusty and dirty. Meat tins and pans were filthy , unusable and need replacing. Came to vacuum during stay and it hadn’t been emptied . Was full of dirt . Noticed bare wires on the lead. Concerning as safety check done on day of our arrival saying it was safe! Vacuum taken to office and when mentioned the date on safety sticker she said they only check it works!! Patio furniture worn out with cushions dirty. As site is so quiet would not recommend for families with young children.

Could do with a deep clean to be honest bed clothes stained, oven pans and frying pan I wouldn't use need replacing badly, overall just OK

Lovely lodge would recommend to friends location was great and only a few miles to everything you needed loved the decking very relaxing holiday

Work services not clean had to wipe them down.

One shower door would not open or close.And one bath towel that was left with dirty makeup marks on it .A good brush wouldn't go amiss to brush decking. It was always full of grass as they were aways cutting the grass. Camp was very clean and nice but club and bar was never open I think they could have opened it on a weekend. B.Greenall

Stunning site with ease of access in central vaccinity of Ceredigion coastline, including several beaches and New Quay town within easy reach.

The site was nice and peaceful with helpful manager and staff on hand if required throughout the day. Bedding and bathroom facilities immaculate with ample living space, including large outer decking area with good furniture. All in all a very nice place to stay for a laid back type of holiday/break.
