There were several maintenance and cleanliness issues that affected our stay. The shower door came off while we were there, there were mouldy chips left in the oven when we arrived, and the summer house could really benefit from a thorough clean. On our final night, while looking for my son’s toys, we removed the seat cushion cover and found a large amount of dog hair down the back of the seat.
The living room seating was also not sufficient for the number of guests the property accommodates, meaning not everyone had somewhere comfortable to sit.
It would also be helpful to have clearer information provided regarding recycling, bins and collection days, as this was not clear during our stay.
It is a shame because the setting and location are fantastic, and with some proper cleaning, maintenance and care, this could be a wonderful place to stay. It just currently feels like it needs someone to give it the attention it deserves.
