Kingfisher Cottage

This cottage is owned and run by a family who can't do enough to make your stay a great one.

This was our second visit in 4 years, but it won't be our last. Tuck you all.

Beautiful place to stay with clean and tidy cottage and facilities.

Host have covered all the bases to make your stay as pleasant as possible, by providing tea and coffie to settle in before you need to go shopping. It’s very dog friendly. With most people bringing their pets with them. On occasion others dogs would wonder into the accommodation but my children loved and encouraged them to do this. We also meat a goat that belonged to a long term tenant. You can imagine the excitement. We have booked to go again next year to include our dogs.

Lovely cottage in beautiful grounds, very peaceful, good size pool to enjoy.

Not too far from local beach and trips out

Amazing place with lots of beautiful grounds to explore!

And private swimming pool was just luxury. So many days out in nearby surroundings, always something yo do! Only down point was lack of Internet connection and no channels available on the smart TV. But you'll be too busy exploring, only noticeable if you have kids.

great place grandsons loved it and the dogs.

good if you want to chill or central spot to go off around and about the area more than enough. the boys loved the swimming pool and a fantastic woods to walk morning and evening, better if weather is on your side, but still worth staying there.good interesting history of the place in the well come book. and a lot of information of what is around the area it was very helpful.

Overall the place is fantastic, very warm and welcoming.

The only point our facilities is the pressure of water on the shower and position of the shower curtain. It could do with a rainfall shower head to help with the low pressure and a shower curtain running the length of the bath. But that being said it was still incredible with amazing views. I will definitely be stopping again.

Beautiful cottage in absolutely beautiful grounds very clean had everything you needed lovely and warm would highly recommend for families or couples lots of lovely walks for dogs and the cottage we stayed in Kingfisher lovely green space completely enclosed for dogs.

Hopefully we will book again for later in the year

We had a lovely time away and stay in the kingfisher cottage.

Kingfisher was perfect for us - 3 adults 2 children (10 &2) & dog.

Very homely, cosy, comfy, warm & clean with everything we needed & more. We arrived at dusk in the rain to a lovely warm welcoming cottage with the best most thoughtful welcome package we've had. Tasty treats for all including the dog as well as activities for the children that even included a pumpkin & cutting set (we were there over Halloween). The weather wasn't kind to us but we still thoroughly enjoyed our time & the swimming pool helped enormously to entertain old & young. Its all set in beautiful peaceful grounds with lovely walks. The owners were friendly & helpful.

Great Cottage, home from Home, Very peaceful, well equipped, No Complaints here, just a few suggestions for Small improvements 1) Although fly spray and sticky traps were provided flies/wasps were still an issue, I have suggested to owners of a fly trap from Amazon which I have in my garden (to possible hide them in the hedges btwn the back gardens) from guests view, 2) Even though pool was open 12hrs a day, 0900-2100, it would be nice to have early morning swimming pool opening times (6am /7am) for the early risers - maybe by arrangement only) 3) Bigger quilts on the double bed , (possible king size) Definitely will be returning for a 2nd and 3rd and 4th Holiday in the coming years ahead

What a gem!

40 acres of grounds to walk, dog friendly, swimming pool and pool table, and comfortable, well equipped cottages with WiFi. We enjoyed our stay and totally relaxed, just what we want from a holiday. There is a small shop in the village, others not too far away. Larger supermarkets 30 minutes away in Cardigan, or a little further afield in Haverfordwest or Pembroke. Full sized fridge/freezer and washer/dryer in the kitchen were a bonus. This cottage is ideally situated to explore Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. Friendly and helpful owner onsite if needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Lovely cottage with gorgeous views, friendly owners and situated in a lovely woodland site with a great fishing lake.

Great base to explore the area. Enjoyed it so much we've already booked again for next year !

Lovely stay in beautiful grounds.

We felt very welcome and we're pleased that the cottage was truly dog and family friendly (no white sofas). Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic time was met buy one of the owners who was so nice and friendly and helpful would definitely recommend will be back

We had a family of 3 adults ages 39 - 68yrs old and 2 children at 6yrs and 13yrs and we all had a brilliant time with the views to die for a great indoor heated pool plenty of walks on your doorstep very secluded but shops only 10 mins away if your stuck, we didn't actually meet the owners but they were a out the place working and always had time to wave and to call asking if all was well would recommend 110%

Lovely Cottage.

Pool was brilliant for the children. Good location, so peaceful.

Everything was lovely except there needed to be a bath length shower curtain and rail.

will recommend to friends to visit this property if going to South Wales area

First class lovely people very helpful beautiful place highly recommended will go again

Just finished a 7 night stay and we’re impressed with how lovely the owners are, so helpful and professional.

Accommodation is looked after and so are the facilities. It’s a chilled out experience and it’s so peaceful. Lots of space to get about on site which is lovely and I’m sure once the owner puts a finishing mark and add colour and depth to the growth of the woods/grounds it will be simply perfect. We are already looking to go back again next year and plan out trips a bit better as we did struggle to find things to do with two dogs in hand.

What a wonderful setting.

It was great for a short break

Was an amazing place to relax and for kids to run around and play games plus the swimming was great bonus.

Lovely place to have a rest.

Very quiet and rural, make a good health spa/retreat.

Beautiful grounds to explore with fantastic views from the cottage.

A well equipped cottage in lovely surroundings.

The owners were really considerate, driving down to the lake to see if my elderly mum would need a lift back after noticing her walking with her stick. We really enjoyed the use of the swimming pool for which we had allocated times due to covid and social distancing. My son in law is already considering booking again.

We loved coming here for a few days and wish it was longer the whole family loved it and we will definitely be returning soon x

The cottage was spacious and well equipped.

The setting was idyllic and very peaceful. The swimming pool was more than an added bonus. We will definitely book again for next year.

Great cottage in a great location.

Everything you could need or want from a holiday location in Britain.

A really well equipped cottage in picturesque surroundings.

Thoroughly enjoyed walks in the wooded grounds with the grassy paths. Beautiful fishing lake with ducks was the favourite walk but wish I had taken insect repellent for the walks. Best feature was the swimming pool, we used it every day. Pleasantly warm at all times and just a short walk back to the cottage in wet bathers - not a problem. My ONLY downside which dropped it a point was the dense bedding. Weird uncomfortable, solid polyester. Caused a few restless nights. That point aside a very enjoyable holiday. Thank you.

The peace and quiet its Amazing !

Beautiful property , with everything you need, comfortable beds, well equipped, games cot and high chair were available for my little ones, location was perfect, plenty of activities and walks to keep the children entertained, would highly recommend this property.

It was lovely and clean Owner lived on site, was often seen but never instrusive Pool was a tad cold Gardens were gorgeous and huge Cottage was lovely Beds were lovely and soft Kitchen hd all we needed Kids had a great time Location was fab so loads of brill days out

I was staying for 3 nights with my family, we ended up staying 5 nights because we really like the place.

We are planning to go back there soon again

We had a fantastic time, great location, beautiful site/woodlands.

.. owner made us feel very welcome. prefect for our dogs, we will definitely be returning! What a great find...

Cleanliness could've been better, dust was an issue for me due to allergies.

Also the shower doesn't work properly, a new head is needed. Cottage was nice, but a refresh of a few bits and pieces wouldn't hurt, new kitchen utensils are definitely needed. Overall had a really nice stay, pool was clean and grounds were so well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. No problems during the stay. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing Short break wish we found this place years ago if u enjoy the countryside this is the holiday for you we will be coming back for sure the family enjoyed it also the dogs they sulked wen we got home .

This was the most well equipped self catering cottage I’ve ever visited.

It was in a great location with loads to do in the area. The grounds were beautiful and the cottage was comfortable and cosy. Perfect for a countryside getaway! Visited with a 3yr old and 4yr old boy.

Beautiful setting, friendly and helpful owners and Skyes agent who accommodated our last minute request as we were let down by another booking agency.

The cottage was lovely; the place is so peaceful, the views are wonderful and the owners were so nice and friendly.

I had problems booking online; for some reason I couldn't pay for the holiday. Maybe it was because it was last minute - like the day before!

Well appointed cottage, in wonderful, peaceful grounds
