“We had a lovely week away at this cottage and everything about it was amazing.”

It is very remote and quiet and so nice to relax either sitting out the front for breakfast or out the back in the evening. If you love the sunshine and we had a great few hot days there then this cottage is great for sitting outside but also lots of shade too if you prefer that. It is very remote and quiet and so nice to relax either sitting out the front for breakfast or out the back in the evening. If you love the sunshine and we had a great few hot days there then this cottage is great for sitting outside but also lots of shade too if you prefer that. There is a lovely walk through the grounds and down to a little stream and wooded area. We didn't have a dog but I can see why a dog lover would enjoy this cottage and area to explore but it's also lovely for a romantic walk or just exercise. The hottub is so good and lovely to relax in either morning or evening. The owners keep it maintained every day and it's the cleanest we have been in and has a covering roof over so no worries about rain or leaves blowing in. The cottage has everything you need. We loved to relax and watch TV, read a book on the seated window or play games on the main table. The cooking facilities were excellent and we never dined out once although we had planned to. The bedroom upstairs was really nice with a very comfortable bed and there's an extra twin bedroom too which we didn't need but used for storing suitcases and other items. The owners Phillippa and Mark are really lovely people and have great humour and knowledge of the area and we enjoyed our chats but they're also not intrusive but are at hand if needed. They have lovely obedient dogs and cats and they were happy to see us but didnt stay long. Overall we had a great time here and can't pick any negatives but we will definitely be back again soon. The weather was lovely and warm so we didn't need to use the log fire but I'm sure it would be even more amazing in the colder months with that and the hottub for use. If you want peace, quiet, romantic time or somewhere to take dogs and relax for a week then this place ticks all the boxes. The nearest big shop is about a half hour drive away so stock up before you arrive or it is a nice scenic drive out. The coastlines are beautiful and remote with areas for easy parking and we saw quite a few seals when we went for cliff top walks. Great week away and thank you again Phillippa and Mark for your hospitality and treats you left out. Hopefully see you again by end of the year.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We enjoy having guests in the cottage and all we can ask is that you have had a great time here. Major supermarkets will deliver which is very useful both for us and visitors. We enjoyed our chats, we often learn new things from guests. Hope to see you soon. Property Owner

The famous poet, Dylan Thomas, penned many works with inspiration in New Quay including "Quite Early One Morning" and you can follow the Dylan Thomas trail around the town. Just 7 miles away is Aberaeron, a lively Georgian harbour town with multi-coloured cottages and a good selection of restaurants and inns.
