The property

This contemporary three-bedroom cottage, Awel Deg, is idyllically situated in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the coastal resort of Newport.

Awel Deg is a beautiful location for a small family or group of friends wishing to discover the wonders of west Wales, enjoying close proximity to a fantastic array of amenities and attractions, including the picture-perfect coastline of Pembrokeshire.

A spacious driveway greets you on arrival, making loading and unloading an easy task;there is an EV charging point (pay owner direct), rom here you can unpack your belongings and make your way inside to begin your stay.

As you step inside, make your way down the hallway to the cosy sitting room where you can look forward to settling down for the evening in front of the television, while the warmth of the gas fire gently warms your toes.

Venturing through, discover the open-plan kitchen/diner tucked away at the back of the property, bathed with natural light and framing wonderful views of the garden's greenery from the floor to ceiling aspect windows.

Uncork a bottle of wine and gather your guests together at the dining table to recount the day's adventures as the designated chef prepares a heart-warming meal in the well-equipped kitchen.

Choose between indulging in a romantic meal for two at the elegant kitchen island, or making mealtimes a social occasion.

In the summer months, take your dining experience outdoors with a seat on the beautifully-appointed patio, where a handful of stone steps lead down to a spacious lawn, perfect for your four-legged friends.

The coastal town of Fishguard is nearby, where it's peaceful harbour provides the idyllic seaside setting to savour fresh fish and chips; here you can marvel at the historic ruins of Fishguard Fort or take a stroll along the Marine Walk, boasting unspoilt views across Fishguard Bay.

Jump in the car and journey to the town of Cardigan, where you can explore the 12th-century remains of Cardigan Castle, positioned in an elevated location overlooking Afon Teifi; a lovely spot for a picnic with a view, or wander through the stalls at Cardigan Guildhall Market.

With St Davids, Porthgain, Solva, and St Dogmaels nearby, there's plenty more to see and do.
