“We had a lovely stay overall, but there were a few things we felt were worth mentioning as suggestions for improvement, particularly given the cost of our week long stay.”

The downstairs toilet seat was broken and could do with replacing. We had to wash the towels when we arrived as they didn’t smell particularly fresh. One of the towels was also covered in bleach stains. Unfortunately, the clothes horse was broken, which made drying everything quite difficult, especially as there is no tumble dryer. The bedding in the master bedroom had hairs on the pillows and what appeared to be a shoe print on the sheet. The bedding also didn’t smell particularly ...

The bedding also didn’t smell particularly fresh. We washed everything ourselves, although the mark on the sheet unfortunately remained. This is the first Airbnb or hotel we’ve stayed in where there hasn’t been a small welcome package. Even just a few tea bags and perhaps a small bottle of milk would have been a lovely little touch, especially when arriving after a journey. The toilet in the en-suite appears to refill with water roughly every hour, and unfortunately the noise was noticeable during the night and disturbed our sleep. We very rarely complain, and this isn’t intended to be a negative or overly critical review. We simply wanted to highlight a few things that could easily be improved to make the stay more comfortable for future guests. One other thing to be aware of is the parking. This is obviously not the fault of the owners, but If you’re travelling with children or have mobility difficulties, it may not be particularly convenient, so it’s worth being aware of before booking. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but we felt these points were worth mentioning as constructive feedback.
