“We had a lovely week in beautiful Pembrokeshire.”

The cottage was perfect for the two of us and had the everything we needed. The complimentary tea, coffee and welsh cakes were much appreciated! The cottage is in a great location, walking distance to Newport where there are quality pubs and restaurants. Highlights were dinner and cocktails at Llys Meddyg and dinner at the Golden Lion. Brilliant for walkers as there is easy access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and good inland walks over the hills. Fabulous holiday!

The property

This extremely comfortable holiday cottage for two is in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park above Newport Bay and located on the lower slopes of Carningli Mountain where there are numerous stunning scenic walks in this particularly beautiful part of the National Park.

It is a pleasant uphill 15 minute walk from the seaside town of Newport where you will find a range of individual shops, eateries and pubs as well as the Parrog beach.

The coastal path can be accessed within a 25 minute walk or you can flag down the walkers' bus at the bottom of the road and enjoy a different stretch of the path every day, this really is an ideal base for walkers all year round.Enjoy the lush timelessness of the Gwaun Valley and Carningli mountain with ancient iron and bronze age settlements, changing colours of gorse, heather and bracken, bluebell woods and wild Welsh Mountain ponies, sheep, foxes and abundant bird life.
