Neverndale

Just love this property.

Perfect location . Easy walk to town and to beaches. We watched beautiful sunsets sitting on the wall at the boat club. Enjoyed whippy ice creams and fish and chips at the campsite cafe. We paddled up and down the estuary and to the beaches in our inflatable canoe. The dog was is heaven too…. Lots of swimming and running in the beach. So many happy memories made here.

We have stayed many times at Newport Parrog and this property was definitely one of the best.

The location was ideal right opposite the coastal path. The property contained everything you would want during your stay. We could not park outside to unload on arrival which was a nuisance but this was the only occasion we had this problem.

We had a fabulous week in Newport and absolutely loved the convenience of Nevendales position.

So close to the beach and cafe bar. And directly on the coastal path. Great for dog walking. The town was a short walk with lovely little shops including a fabulous butchers, book shop, gallery Health food shop and Spar. The house was spacious and clean, lots of books and games and we cooked lovely meals in the well stocked kitchen. Our granddaughter loved crawling around safely ( door to inner hall and stairs). The beds were very comfortable with smart bedding. The only downside was the garden, (which was massive and beautiful with a decked seating area )as there’s quite a steep drop , maybe 4-5ft near the house which could be easily fenced for safety. If we came with a toddler I’d be worried about that. Also my elderly dog couldn’t be trusted to see it. Overall a fabulous house and we loved our holiday, which was our first with our son’s family and new daughter.

An excellent property, well appointed and comfortable.

The owners were readily available to sort any problems and a couple of very welcome extras not mentioned in the cottage details were the downstairs loo and the dryer. Highly recommend.

A very “homely”, comfortable and welcoming house.

Good secure back garden for kids or dogs. Absolutely perfect location with lovely walks into Newport or along the coastal path.

We’ve just stayed at Neverndale for the third time.

It’s one of the best places we’ve stayed in over the past 20+ years. The house is comfortable and well equipped. The garden is ideal for relaxing in after a busy day, although we didn’t venture far as Newport has a great beach and the town is a short walk away. If I was being fussy I would suggest having a shower caddy in the main bathroom. Also the door to the stairs needs the catch adjusting as our dog discovered he could push it open even though it appeared to be shut.

We had a relaxing week at Neverndale.

It’s got everything needed to feel completely at home and was warm and comfortable. We would certainly go there again. We were extremely appreciative of the offer to go into Neverndale a bit earlier as the rain was so awful for travelling in. We were able to allow plenty of time for our journey and were settled in before it got dark. Our thanks to the owners and to the pleasant young lady at Coast and Country who communicated with us.

Lovely home, well equipped and excellent position. The well stocked games and books for all the family added to the fun. Excellent range of reading material. We had no issues during our stay. Having the field opposite for parking was an added bonus on bank holiday weekend. Would definitely return , we had amazing weather but love Newport even in the rain. Thanks for sharing your home

Lovely comfortable and clean accommodation.

Very well equipped with everything we could possibly need. Great location for the nearest small beaches at Parrog and not far to walk to shops, pubs etc.in Newport. We enjoyed walking along the coast path in both directions and also walking to the lovely sandy Newport beach and appreciated the view of the village, castle, harbour area with the hills in the background.

Second time I have stayed here and love it's size and position on The Parrog.

Will definately be back again! Only criticism is that the shower cubicle door could do with fixing (door is very stiff), double duvets on the single beds so you can wrap your self up toasty (as adults sleeping in them they kept slipping off when you turned over) and having a wood burner in the snug for cold nights would be the icing on the cake!

The property was clean and tidy, light and airy when we arrived, with glorious views across the estuary.

The house is directly opposite the footpath and minutes away from the town centre of Newport, where there are shops to cover your everyday needs. No need to use the car if you do not want to, as there is plenty of walking from your door step. We paid the Bluestone Brewery a visit. The staff were delightful and helpful. When we had a query, the owners were easy to get hold of and quick to reply. We would definitely stay in this beautiful house again.

We had such a lovely relaxing stay here.

There were 6 of us plus one dog and we had plenty of room. Lovely bath on the first floor and en-suite on top floor. Excellent views throughout the whole house. Excellent location, 10 min walk to the town and local pubs and cafes. Has everything you need.

I have stayed in this cottage 3 times now and I love it.

We did have some issues with the dishwasher but we always got it going eventually. It is the perfect summer escape. The dog loved his walks on the salt marsh and went into decline when he got home. I missed it too. A home away from home. Thank you.

Amazing location. Kitchen has everything you need to eat in but local pubs and restaurants mean you don’t have to if you’d rather be cooked for.hiuse is located right opposite the coastal path.

A beautiful and very well-kept cottage in an idyllic location.

It was immaculately clean, fitted out to a very high standard, and all the furniture and bedding were super comfy. Spectacular views from top bedroom window. Great size garden for kids and dogs. We had a really lovely stay thanks

The only thing I could give advice for is maybe a safety gate on stairs and tv room as this was donated for a disabled family to stay in we would of definitely benefited from stair gates but apart from that we had a great stay

Positives: Location was excellent / Kitchen was great and well equipped Negatives: Insufficient sitting area for 6-8 people (only 5 spaces) / Top room shower was barely functional (and only enough hot water for shallow bath / TV room was cold although blankets were available!

Overall the property was lovely and in a great location however the items mentioned above let it down…..

It would be easier if we could control the central heating ourselves.

We did contact the owner due to a cold radiator in the kitchen and response was excellent and sorted straight away.

Second time to stay here we absolutely love this house and the Parrog.

Lovely cottage comfortable and well equipped .

We all enjoyed the plentiful books and games . The access to the garden needs attention .The steep step was difficult for the youngest and oldest in our party .

I found the windows in bedroom one very tricky to open and close and would have been helpful to have instructions especially as this is one fire escape exit

When we arrived the cottage felt cold and a bit damp, The outside temperature was very cold and I am not sure if there had been people in the week before us.

Within 24 hours it warmed up and then it remained cosy for the duration of our stay. Everything was spotless and tidy. It is well equipped and beautifully situated for the coastal path. It is undoubtedly a summer house as the sitting room where the TV is only really has seating for 4 adults max. Garden was neat and very well kept. Lovely to have the dogs with us too. Thank you for a lovely week.

We all very much enjoyed staying in Neverndale, it was comfortable, roomy and has good modern facilities in all great location.

We were pleased to find it had a down stairs loo, which wasn’t mentioned in the brochure. Only small niggles, was I found the single bed a bit to firm for my liking, but the doubles were fine, and we struggled to get the dishwasher going each time. All in all, we recommend it.

A very happy, quiet week was spent in this beautiful coastal part of Wales.

The only small criticism is that there was nowhere to charge our toothbrushes!

Lovely house in a great position.

Double beds quite narrow, would be even better with king size beds. Also. a small welcome pack of items or just milk, would be good. Overall, very well equipped and organised. We found the separate snug/ TV room so useful. Many thanks

Beautiful well equipped house in perfect location.

Only downside was high step in garden but rail helped and a shame there's no rear access for wet sandy dogs. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Nerverndale. Having parking was such a luxury in Newport!

We absolutely loved the house and the location, ideal for a family of 6 plus 2 dogs.

The house has everything we needed and served us well and the information supplied by the owner was easy to read and understand, we loved it, best family holiday for a long time! A few suggestions; the door to the upstairs was difficult to close especially as we had dogs to manage so it would be worth fixing. The soap dispensers were all pretty much empty so suggest these are refilled between tenancies. other than that no complaints at all.

We absolutely loved our stay at Neverndale and already being fans of Newport we will definitely look to stay at Neverndale again.

It’s facilities and room layout worked beautifully for our family of 4 with a dog and can easily handle another family of 4. The garden was well appreciated by us all and was secure for the dog. Despite numerous attempts to escape he failed thankfully! The wide selection of toys, games and puzzles were greatly appreciated by our young children (2 & 4) so much so that they never looked once at their own toys and games that they brought with them. They would have also enjoyed the selection of DVDs but unfortunately we couldn’t get the DVD player to work on our stay but this has been reported so shouldn’t be a problem in the future. The views across the estuary from the master bedroom was a delight and if you enjoy birdwatching it is an excellent spot. Just remember your binoculars! The final positive and one of the reasons we choose to stay is the location. It is a short walk to the small beach at Parrog and the lovely coastal path. Newport centre and it’s excellent choice of pubs, cafés and shops are also not a long walk away and it’s only a short drive to Newport Beach itself though if you aren’t limited by young children it is a lovely walk up and down either side of the estuary to Newport Beach.

Lovely house great location well equipped

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house.

The kitchen was brilliant, everything I needed for myself and the kids. The children really enjoyed the snug area - perfect for lego. I loved the fact there was a separate sitting area with the lovely view. We were super comfortable and it worked practically too for us with the utility room and garden for the dog to run around in with the kids safely. thank you

The house has been beautifully refurbished since we visited last Easter.

The location and views are amazing. Everything was spotlessly clean and despite Covid we had a truly relaxing holiday.

The location was superb , being able to cross quiet road and be on Costal path was brilliant.

The panoramic views from top floor bedroom were great. Just a comment that web site entry says "includes towels", but doesn't specify that this is only hand towels (not bath). Didn't notice last minute notification by owner.

I’m a big recycle fan and unfortunately there was not a “red” bag for plastic and tin.

There wasn’t a cardboard recycle bag either. Only glass we were able to recycle. Also the front of the house could do with a good sweeping. But everything else was great. We had a fabulous family holiday, the weather was lovely as well. We will most definitely be using one of your cottages again.
