Description

Situated in the heart of Welsh countryside, four miles from the thriving town of Newcastle Emlyn, is Llwyncadfor Farm.

This beautiful farmhouse is perfect for touring the West Wales coast with your family and friends, offering spacious accommodation to return to at the end of each day.

The cottage is built from limestone, awarding a traditional look and feel of lime render throughout.

Low beams, slate floors and natural, uneven walls add to this experience.

Park your car safely outside and step through the stable door into the dining room.

Here, you can gather for a celebratory, home-cooked meal and get cosy by the woodburning stove.

The galley-style kitchen offers a country-cottage feel, displaying a fabulous range cooker, integrated with modern fixtures.

There is a utility housing a washing machine and tumble dryer, and then a cloakroom for convenience.

The adults of the group can exchange stories over a bottle of wine, wrapped around the woodburner in the sitting room.

The kids can watch their favourite TV programmes across the hall, or enjoy a game of table football and fun on the Nintendo Wii up in the games room.

Upstairs there are six bedrooms leading from the split-level staircase over two floors, as well as two bathrooms with deep-soaking bath tubs and separate shower cubicles.

Outside is a fully enclosed garden, safe for the children to run around on a warm summer's day.

Newcastle Emlyn boasts shops, tea rooms and pubs, as well as the ruins of its grand castle and fishing available.

Explore a wide variety of attractions including, Cenarth Falls, Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, and train rides at Henllan.

There are some wonderful sandy beaches and plenty of walking opportunities.

Choose this spectacular base for touring a wonderful region of Wales.

We had a wonderful time at this property.

This place is huge! So much space and plenty of room to spend time chilling together or have space apart and also a den in the loft to give the children their own space. There was a well stocked kitchen - we really appreciated having cooking oil, salt, pepper etc there already. The heating being on for us when we arrived was thoughtful too. We also greatly appreciated the plug in torches/night lights which were super helpful if anyone needed the toilet in the middle of the night. A great property, would definitely stay again!

An amazing historic farmhouse with loads of lovely rooms.

Great fun exploring both the house and the local area. It is off the beaten track with a large fenced garden, perfect for our big dogs to go outside safely. There was everything we needed in the house, the bathrooms are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. We had a wonderful few days there.

We had a really good holiday at Llwyncadfor, it was ideal for our purposes.

There were eleven of us plus a dog – grandparents, children and grandchildren, but the house was sufficiently spacious that it never felt crowded. We could all find a quiet place when we needed it, and we could all come together (usually at the ample dining table) when we wanted to. During the day we tended to go our own ways, to the beach, to the ancient relics of the area, to Newcastle Emlyn, or further afield. In the evenings we were together again. We were there in a heatwave, but the house remained cool (except the on second floor just under the roof). One special highlight of our stay was the partial solar eclipse. The white walls of the house were perfect for the "colander technique" of viewing it. Luckily the kitchen equipment included a colander. As maximum coverage approached we noticed crescents of light among the tree shadows on the walls; it seemed small gaps between leaves were acting as pinholes. We won't get another eclipse, but we will be back again. We've started having these family holidays every other year, and we were all agreed we'd be very happy to return to Llwyncadfor again.
