We had a fabulous stay at Ty Fferm for a birthday celebration.

It’s a beautiful traditional farm house and so well equipped- there was nothing that wasn’t supplied- even wine and cakes on arrival, which was a lovely touch. It was hard to believe we were just a few minutes from town

The garden is beautiful, with an excellent garden view, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. A lovely, peaceful place to stay — highly recommended!

It’s a beautiful house perfect for groups with children, clean, comfortable, really well equipped kitchen and we loved the outdoor space. The location is great - really peaceful and remote but easy to drive to nearby Pontypridd for the train into Cardiff. We found it easy to get taxis too. Babs is the perfect host - friendly, welcoming and helpful. The bottle of fizz and home made cakes were a lovely, thoughtful treat.

Good sized house with lots of space outside for kids to play.

Clearly popular with families as lots of toys/board games to play with. We were a group of lads so this wasn't used by us. Inside the kitchen is a bit narrow if you are going to eat in with large numbers of people but outside there is a lovely big table and a fab view. Very very quite despite being only about 5 mins drive from Pontypridd station. Beds were comfy and towels provided for showers and separate hot tub was good. Large fridge freezer in the pantry and free prosecco and cake on arrival was a nice touch. One star being deducted for the hot tub being a bit dirty on arrival and generally I found the accommodation to have too many 'trinkets' on surfaces which made it hard to set items down at times. Also despite having every kind of plate and serving dish you can imagine they didn't have any teabags in the teabag tin so we had to buy all that stuff. Communication with Ty Ffarm was excellent and answered a few questions I had on email within a few hours. Finally my advice is to review the WIFI and maybe figure out a way to get WIFI to offer better coverage to hot tub area which is furthest away from the router.

We were delighted with the house, it was spacious, clean and we loved the outdoor area.

The host was very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

The owners really go out of their way to think of everything.

Stuff to do for the kids, facilities, etc. It was a wonderful stay with my family and we would 100% do it again. Owners were quick to answer messages and even came out on new years day when we had problems with something.

We had a lovely stay at Ty Ffarm for our son's wedding weekend.

The property is gorgeous, with fantastic views and absolutely everything that you could want for a stay - comfortable, homely, loads of toys/games/books etc, everything you would need in a kitchen plus more. Hosts are great and hot tub was fab for stargazing in November. Would definitely recommend for a family break and hope to go again. It is a 10min drive to a large supermarket but you feel you are in the middle of nowhere - peaceful and lovely walks. Top of the valley, so everywhere is downhill but means you have great views.

Babs could not have been more helpful and even made a special purchase as we were using the sofa bed.

Perhaps the listing should make it clear how far the farm is out of town. No-one's fault, but the road systems in P y P are a nightmare!!!

Wow, what an excellent spacious family cottage with all the facilities needed to enjoy a beautiful holiday break.

So many facilities for children. From a fantastic large patio area with secure fencing for younger children to a trampoline for the older. A beautiful setting over looking the valley's. Babs the owner was lovely and always helpful with any queries we had. The cake and wine which greeted us on arrival was very much appreciated.

We had a wonderful week on the farm.

The property is managed to such a high standard and everything has been thought of. The welcome cake and wine was an extra special touch! The children did not play with any of the toys we brought with as the offering at the farm is beyond generous. What more could you want than a hot tub overlooking the stunning landscape of south Wales while friendly sheep graze in the field next to you. Babs is a lovely host and nothing was a bother. We hope to be back someday!

Babs was very attentive from the start, communicating with us regarding our requirements and making sure everything was perfect for our arrival.

We were very impressed with the gorgeous house and the garden which was a fantastic safe space for my 2yr old nephew to run around. He was in awe of the outdoor and indoor toys which kept him occupied for hours. We were very lucky with the weather and one day we spent sunbathing on the sunbeds, and in the hot tub, had a fab BBQ, felt like we were abroad! Not near another property so didn’t have to worry about bothering anyone with noise and music (except the sheep!) Bedrooms, bathrooms were lovely and everywhere was beautifully clean. Cakes and wine waiting for us on arrival. Had the best few days away. Would definitely go back again. Thank you so much Babs xx

Babs and the team at Ty Ffarm have done a terrific job in presenting a holiday farmhouse which thoroughly deserves a "Perfect 10"!

Beautifully located with superb views in a peaceful and tranquil setting, Ty Ffarm is excellently equipped both inside and out, spotlessly clean with everything a party of up to 10 could want. Highlights are the outdoor hot tub, bbq and play area and inside the family kitchen, two drawing rooms and comfortable bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. Nothing can be faulted and we look forward to our next visit!

Ty Faarm is such a wonderful place to stay.

It’s the one time where the photos have not done justice to how beautiful the place is. Plenty of room for the 9 of us staying, Babs was a wonderful host and communicator and everything went perfectly. We were in town for Oasis and just wish we got more time to stay at the property and enjoy all the features. Stunning place.

Wonderful house!

10 of us stayed for a Hen party, and this house was perfect! The bedrooms were lovely, lots of space downstairs with 2 living areas and a large kitchen. The garden was my favourite part, the weather wasn’t great but we still managed to enjoy the hot tub, with the gorgeous views! (And It was really easy to use!) Babs was so friendly and helpful, I messaged her many times before we arrived, asking questions and she was always fast to reply with the answers and very kind! The cake and fizz were a lovely surprise on arrival. There was a really helpful folder on arrival, which had a list of takeaway places, so we ordered in on the Friday. We went into Cardiff on the Saturday night and Babs sent me a list of taxi numbers so we could arrange it beforehand. It took about 30 minutes to get into the centre. I would highly recommend this house!

We had a fabulous time at Ty Ffarm - although much too short.

The venue was ideal for the large family that we are and everyone expressed an interest in returning for a longer stay next time. Thank you for all your help and all your communications - even though I didn't read the last one until I arrived home! Best wishes Gale and family

I cannot rate this property highly enough.

It is the most beautiful house with outstanding views this place really is breathtaking. We booked this for a hen party and it was perfect. Amazing hot tub and 30minutes into Cardiff. The road leading the property was a little bumpy and the party bus went hired had fun getting to the house!! Other than that it was idyllic thank you so much for having us

The accommodation was perfect and it was home from home for us.

Our grand-daughters loved the toys, and the grandsons loved the garden. We loved the farmhouse vibe and we all enjoyed being able to eat together around the kitchen table. The views were stunning. The cake and bubbly were a nice touch. We would highly recommend and sure we will return.

The spacious farm, was fantastic for our family gathering, with lots to cater for ages from 8 months to 70+ years. A truly fantastic place to stay! All communication with Babs was excellent and very clear, including directions. Thank you, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

Our second time staying at the farm and we loved it as much this time as last time.

The house is so beautiful and really well equipped. We love the log burning fires which makes the house feel even more cozy and luxurious and the hot tub is amazing, especially at night under the stars. The hosts are really lovely and the extra little personal touches are extremely thoughtful - cake and bubbly is always a winner! 10/10 yet again.

We are a Charity based in Pontypridd, we support parent/carers of children with neurodiverse conditions.

We took 10 parent/carers on a respite weekend so they had an opportunity to relax, and recover from their demanding caring role. We all had an amazing time at Ty Ffarm, what an incredible house. We loved the layout, the hot tub and the close proximity to where our parent/carers live so they could get home if they needed to. Babs and her husband were fantastic, Babs communication was second to none, and her husband light the fires before our arrival as it was very cold, he also took in our Tesco delivery that arrived an hour and half too early! We will be back early next year, a little gem. Thank you Babs and hubby for welcoming us. One negative was the communication through Sykes Cottages, we had real trouble getting in touch with them.

This is the second time we have stayed as a group of friends at Ty Ffarm as we absolutely love it!

It feels like a second home as soon as we arrive, it’s cozy, super clean and in a beautiful location! Babs is fantastic at providing all the information you need before your arrival and we arrived to cake and Prosecco :) Would recommend this house to anyone looking for a remote get-away, we will definitely be back!

We have never stayed somewhere so well equipped.

There are so many books, toys and games which my children loved playing with, especially in the garden. The views surrounding the house are amazing and we all enjoyed going for local walks. The house is spacious and very comfortable. The owners are attentive and check in to ensure you have everything you need, adding lovely touches like bubbly and cake when you arrive. We would highly recommend Ty Farm and would go back in the future.

This charming cottage offered the perfect escape from the city.

Nestled in a peaceful rural setting, it was just a 30-minute drive to Cardiff's bustling center. While we only used the hot tub once, it was a delightful treat after a day of exploring local castles. The cottage itself was exceptionally well-equipped and impeccably clean, providing all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Babs, the owner, was warm, friendly, and readily available to answer any questions we had before and during our visit. The delicious welcome cakes were a lovely touch – thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

Booked for some of our men working in the area, they loved the house and wanted me to keep re booking, they have stayed a handful of times and would stay again.

Babs who owns the property is lovely she is very hands on and on the other end of the phone if you need anything.

We’ve stayed at Ty Ffarm for the last 3 years to enjoy New Year celebrations as a family…it quickly became the children’s favourite time over the festive period.

Can’t recommend this cosy farmhouse enough, it’s spotless and has everything you could possibly need. The hosts are also super accommodating, helpful and lovely. We are sad that we are unable to return for a 4th year, the only reason being that we have outgrown the space…with 18 of us booking for 2024. I hope to be back again at some point though! X

The house was just beautiful, well equipped, spotlessly clean and the views were incredible! 10 of us stayed for a weekend and even though we all live and work locally it felt like we were a million miles away from home. Perfect accommodation for a big family get together.

Lots of space and a kitchen which had enough crockery and cooking equipment to cater for any occasion. Rooms were clean and comfortable with nice linen and towels provided. Communication with the owner was very good too. We would definitely return.

Really appreciate the manner you have incorporated modern contemporary interior in a 16th century old house taking utmost care to maintain the living room as it is. What a blissful vintage feeling! Your place has absolutely everything one would require to live without any hustle to carry extra stuff from home. Perfect home away from home. The view from the hilltop is so scenic. Enjoyed the sunrise as well as sight of blood moon. Our colleagues had great time in the hot tub. Thank you for everything!

We (two families and grandma) had a brilliant week which started off with a treat of wine and cake!

The kitchen is particularly well equipped - I often bring bits from my own but didn't need anything! We were lucky with the weather so didn't use the extensive variety of games on offer but again there was no need to bring your own. The hot tub was used everyday (sometimes twice) with everyone enjoying the views. What a shame our ladies didn't win the World Cup- plenty of room for us all to watch the final together in the TV/games lounge.

We loved the outside space, the view, the bbq and the hot tub. There were 9 of us including 6 children but we had plenty of space and never felt on top of each other. We enjoyed playing the games provided on a rainy day. It had everything we needed and more, would love to return.

Ty Ffarm is a beautifully renovated home set in peaceful rolling hills.

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating a special birthday as a multigenerational family of 12. The house is immaculate and so well equipped both indoors and outdoors with a huge selection of games for rainy days and a beautiful outdoor space with hot tub, BBQ and trampoline for dry weather days. Towels, cosy blankets and outdoor toys are also a plenty. Communication from Babs was excellent and super friendly and the birthday treats and bubbly on arrival were a lovely touch. Can’t wait to go back, would highly recommend.

This was our second holiday at Ty Ffarm and it didn't disappoint.

We were welcomed with two lovely cakes and Prosecco. We all had the most fabulous week. The house is amazing and SO well equipped. There were 7 of us but we never felt on top of each other. My grandchildren (2 and a half and 4 and a half) loved it and had so many games, books and outdoor activities to keep them occupied. We all want to return for a third holiday. Thank you, Babs, for a perfect holiday.

Ty Ffarm is a beautiful old farmhouse recently refurbished to a very high standard.

We particularly liked the large kitchen which is extremely well kitted out. The whole farmhouse is very well furnished and decorated and lacks for nothing. There are lots of toys and games for children. The outside was perfect for the 5 children aged 3 to 6. Large synthetic grass area with trampoline and large patio with dining set and a hot tub which was a huge favourite. The house is set in a lovely location with great views all around. The owner, Babs, was very helpful and kind on the few occasions we had contact. We are planning another family get together again for next year.

The cottage was excellent for our three generations of family, grandchildren enjoyed the games - grown-ups enjoyed the two lounges and large farmhouse kitchen.

Weather was mixed but we found plenty to do in the area, being half an hours drive from beach and Brecon Beacons. On the one stormy day the cottage excelled at keeping us all entertained. Would recommend it to all families.

Lovely spacious property easily able to accommodate two families.

Beautiful surroundings, convenient for access to surrounding areas despite the isolated location. Lots of books and games (although lots missing parts so could do with sorting out) and the kids loved the outside area and trampoline. We had a lovely break.

Absolutely loved this place, perfect location, rural but the village/town very close if you need it.

The house is beautiful, inside and out, you can really tell that love and care is put into the property. Comfortable, lovely and warm with the wood burning stoves, the electric fire in the front lounge warmed the room up really quickly. We don’t have one bad word for this place, it’s just amazing. The owners are very friendly and quick to respond IF you need them. We will definitely be booking this place again.. I can’t say enough good words, we all loved it ALOT

We had a treacherous journey driving up in the rain and Upon arrival were welcomed with sweet treats, a bottle of red and a nice warm house to get cosey and enjoy our first evening. The house was clearly well looked after, we had everything we could possibly need, it’s spacious, comfortable and hosts some beautiful views, babs was so easy going and at hand for anything we needed, I can’t recommend this place enough, it was so easy and very private, we had a great time celebrating my friends birthday and we cannot wait to come back! The hot tub was the cherry on top to a wonderful, clean and hospitable house and holiday!

We had the most fantastic holiday at Ty Ffarms.

The cottage was cosy and comfortable and was so child friendly. It had everything anyone could possibly need. The garden was lovely to spill out on to and the hot tub was a total hit with my daughter and son-in-law. We would love to come back.

It was as described and more. This holiday cottage has one of the most organised, clean and tidy kitchens we’ve stayed in - has everything you need and easy to find. The outside space was lovely - set on the farm with beautiful views into the valleys. It was quiet and spacious. The children LOVED the garden and all the outdoor toys and equipment - again, this was organised and thought about. Also, they loved spotting the sheep in the fields next door. Babs communication was great and she also welcomed us with bubbly, muffins and cupcakes which was really kind. We really enjoyed our stay and it’s definitely one of our favourite places we’ve stayed in.

We all enjoyed are stay at Ty Ffarm ,the house was beautiful very clean and spacious we were 8 adults ,it was very well equipped there was nothing we needed that it didn’t have, outside the views from the spacious garden were lovely.

We felt like we were in the middle of the country side but the nearest town was only ten minutes away, the owners were very nice & friendly and left out muffins and a bottle of wine for our arrival .

This property is very well equipped for a large family/group, it has everything you need for a lovely holiday inside and out.

Plenty of kitchen equipment, towels even for the hot tub. All rooms spacious especially upstairs family bathroom. Garden large for our energetic little ones, so many out door toys and lots of indoor games to keep them happy. Parking space lots of it and quiet country side not having to worry about disturbing the neighbours apart from the sheep. Great bar-b-q. Many thanks.

It is set in a beautiful area to explore. The hot tub was a hit, and there was an impressive array of board games and a very well equipped kitchen. The owner was attentive with good communication. The lane leading to the farm house from the main road needs careful driving, especially if arriving at night, but the destination is well worth it

We stayed her for my mothers birthday and the place couldn’t be more perfect. There were 6 adults and 3 kids and there was more than enough room for everyone. The house itself had everything that we needed and more. The outdoor space was great. The garden is completely enclosed so the kids could have fun with us knowing they weren’t disappearing off. Stayed with 6 adults and 2 young children and everything was catered for. Very very clean and lovely comfortable beds. Great garden with lots of games and amazing hot tub. Really amazing location with lots near by but totally out of the way, private and peaceful. The only thing I could offer the host for any kind of improvement would be potentially adding TVs in some of the bedrooms? Just amazing details throughout the place from the host, everything labelled and just lovely! Thank you for a truly amazing stay! I’m so sad to be home xx

Genuinely such a great place with amazing views and facilities the only fault which isn’t even one is just knowing what to do with the towels and bedding.

Parking is perfect for multiple cars and great public footpaths nearby. Again as I’ve said before in the booklet, the hot tub is beautiful.

A lovely holiday cottage in a fabulous location that is extremely well equipped and well maintained.

There are no real words to explain this house, it's absolutely beautiful and actually our second visit.

It was a perfect location with just a 30 minute drive into Cardiff which was ideal with celebrating a big birthday. The house was clean and cosy and the extra thoughtful touches by babs were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. I know we'll be visiting again with a doubt.

We book somewhere to celebrate New Year together as a family every year, and I have to say this has been the best place we have stayed by far!

We have already booked again for next year. Excellent communication throughout with the hosts, who really have thought of everything…cake and fizz on arrival was a lovely touch! The farm house had plenty of cutlery/glasses and tableware for a large family gathering and the facilities were excellent. Such a cosy (and spotlessly clean!) house, especially with the the beautiful Christmas decorations. We didn’t get to explore the beautiful surroundings as much as we would’ve liked due to the weather but the children loved the hot tub and running around in the garden (plus all the games inside the house)…we can’t wait to come back!

As a large group of females on a weekend away for a hen do, this home was absolutely amazing.

Despite being far out and being all women, we couldn’t have felt more comfortable and safe, let alone welcomed and we didn’t even met the owner face to face, but the communication was of great standard which meant we had nothing to worry about at all. This would be a great place to come back to with your partners and friends as well as with the whole family, as there is plenty for kids too. We all want to book again, thank you for a great stay.

Just returned home from a very relaxing family holiday, that’s with three children!

They and us adults had the most wonderful family get together in their beautiful house, the garden and hot tub were so much fun for all the family young and old. With a log fire to take the chill from the evening air, evenings were so cosy. The games and play things for the children were just amazing. I have never seen so much provided in a holiday house before. We really would love to return one day. The countryside around the house is spectacular ( beautiful,beautiful Wales ) so peaceful on top of the world.

It is situated within easy distance of woodland walks and nearby cycle paths and has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. We would thoroughly recommend this holiday home to families of all ages.

The owner is amazing , very friendly and accommodating. The cottage itself is beautiful , clean and well looked after . It’s location is perfect . It’s in the countryside but near to the local town and it’s facilities. Everything was perfect and the garden with the jacuzzi made it even more special. I’d highly recommend it to families , couples and anyone that wants the peace of the country with beautiful views but within easy access to shops and local attractions. Cardiff isn’t far by car or train and is a lovely day out for all . I will definitely return to the cottage with family at a later date . 5 star accommodation, 5 star location , 5 star customer service . Well done Babs for sharing this hidden gem with us all .

Beautiful farmhouse very well equipped.

Perfect for a quiet retreat from life. The hot tub was a huge bonus and the scenery spectacular. Every luxury catered for and Prosecco and afternoon tea cake perfect start to the holiday. We all would recommend this lovely piece of paradise.

We had a fabulous short break - Mon-Fri in early June at Ty Ffarm.

Babs and Alan are super hosts , the communication with Babs was excellent and she provided us with useful local information and nothing was too much trouble and a lovely surprise in the fridge with a couple of bottles of fizz as a welcome from Babs and Alan. Ty Ffarm is set in a beautiful and tranquil location surrounded by fields - it is a lovely location for peace and quiet and to relax and chill out. The House is well presented and spotlessly clean and has good facilities. The outside space is equally excellent and with the hot tub to enjoy a cold glass of fizz or beer watching the lambs in the field - wonderful! Will be back to enjoy Ty Ffarm in the future - thanks Babs for a lovely break. All the best , Gary

Ty Ffarm is absolutely beautiful .

Babs the owner has thought of everything to make your stay perfect . Nothing is too much trouble for her and her husband Alan .The farmhouse is restored to the highest standard , the detail is amazing and yet still so homely and comfortable . The outside space is fantastic for young children , so safe and spacious and there are outside toys galore aswell as books , games , DVD,s inside . The views from the property are breathtaking and the surroundings so peaceful , a perfect restful escape , especially when reclining in the hot tub with a cold prosecco left by Babs ! . The house is so cosy and comfortable , we were quite overwhelmed by it all ! I would return there in a heartbeat , having had to cancel last year due to covid the wait was more than worth it - stunning place , fantastic holiday - cannot recommend it highly enough !

Ty Ffarm is a truly amazing farmhouse with stunning views over the Welsh hills.

The house has literally everything you need and more. It is beautifully decorated to a high standard and and is truly a home from home. The hot tub was great, even in the rain. Babs the owner is extremely helpful and very approachable. The bubbly, chocolates and birthday card was a lovely surprise

A prefect getaway in a quiet and beautiful location.

Wow a truly amazing place to stay,it literally has everything you can think of and more.

They cater for every age possible. The house is 100% clean and is spotless, really dont want to go home,could stay longer. Babs is extremely helpful and she even put bubbly in the fridge as a lovely welcome. I really cant explain in words how the welcome and stay has made me feel.

This is a wonderfully elevated well equipped farmhouse, set on a farm.

We had such a good holiday here, it’s a peaceful retreat for 2 young families after visiting places such Breacons and coastline - all about 30mins drive away. The farm house has everything you could need and the landlady babs is so helpful & very approachable, nothing is too much hassle. The Garden is safe and enclosed for young kids and hot tub looks over the breacons and is relaxing Once the kids are in bed! I would recommend this place if you want a luxury staycation in the beautiful welsh countyside. Would book again. Thanks

Superb farmhouse with stunning views ideal for a family getaway.

Attention to detail around the house gives it’s a true home from home feeling with everything you need on hand. Would def recommend ! We all had a superb time with plenty of space for the children to play while the adults chilled out !

Babs the owner was very helpful indeed,the cottage and facilities were immaculate.

The only thing to be aware of is the road to the cottage is on an unmade road and you need to be careful if your car is lowered.Not an issue if you drive carefully.The Horus and views are amazing.

What a lovely farmhouse, such a beautiful place, we booked this lovely home for my friends 40th Birhhday celebrations, everything was just perfect, each and every room had its own taste, which were just outstanding, I could have moved in as soon as I set foot inside.

This place is beautiful.

It’s been thoughtfully put together for families/parties of all ages. We stayed for a family birthday, aged from 13 months to 70, with children in between aged 4, 9 and 10. They’ve pretty much thought of everything and pulled it off in a very tasteful way. We used the cot, it had a proper mattress and bottom sheet. There were two choices of high chair. Plastic cutlery for kids. Books, logs for the fire, plenty of towels, towels for the hot tub, Prosecco left in the fridge, cakes, washer-drier, a roll top bath...have you booked yet? We’d love to go back. My dad wants to live there...the photos don’t actually do it justice. Really helpful and considerate hosts, what’s not to love! See you in the hot tub!

After visiting Ty Farm as part of a hen do I decided to bring my whole family back for my parents birthday celebrations!

We all had such a lovely weekend and my parents loved the house! We didn’t have great weather but that didn’t matter as the house was plenty big enough for us al to hang out without getting on top of each other! We loved the hot tub and the log burner and the selection of games and dvds! After telling the host we were coming for a birthday they kindly left us bubbly in the fridge and birthday cakes which my parents were thrilled with! The house literally has everything you could need and is beautifully decorated! We also visited a nearby pub for a roast dinner on the Sunday called Bunch of Grapes which was an 8 minute drive away which was really lovely! We will definitely be back!

Ty Ffarm exceeded our expectations.

Despite it being free a rainy week we had a fantastic Christmas. In the dry spells the kids played outside in the garden, including on the trampoline. We had lovely family gatherings at the house and took some lovely walks. It had everything we could possibly need including extremely comfortable rooms and living spaces and a kitchen that had all that we needed. We have family in the area and will definitely be back in 2020. Thank you for such a warm welcome to the farm, including the cupcakes and mince pies (such a sweet gesture).

What a way to spend my 80th and son-in-laws 50th birthday.

We arrived in pouring rain to a wonderfully warm and Christmas decorated farm house, and what a farm house, every room was pleasing to the eye so much thought had gone into the décor, all very clean and even a birthday cake and other goodies waiting for us!! I can thoroughly recommend it for any one wanting a larger accommodation. I am so pleased my daughter found it for us, we couldn't have chosen any where better!!

We had a fantastic break from start to finish.

The accommodation was immaculate, very well thought out, with everything you could need for the perfect break. There was a gift and card upon arrival, which was super thoughtful and the property management were very helpful. I cannot recommend Ty Farm enough, we were a group of 10 and every one of us were impressed, we will definitely stay again. Thank you Babs, you were great and your accommodation is 5 star, truly a home from home

My Friends and I stayed at Ty Ffarm last weekend and had such a wonderful weekend!

The house is absolutely beautiful, finished to such a high standard and was spotlessly clean. The facilities were amazing, they had provided absolutely everything we could possibly want and more. We couldn't have asked for anything better, the scenery was stunning, the hot tub was great and the prosecco and cakes very very welcomed. I cannot fault Ty Ffarm at all. It was perfect, what an amazing place. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. It was so easy to book and Babs was just a text away if we needed anything (which we didn't). It was an absolute pleasure to stay in this stunning house and we will definitely be back.

Wonderful holiday home.

Very comfy and well equipped. Wi fi worked well through out the house which is handy with 2 x teenagers!!!

We came for a 2 night break for my wifes surprise 40th get together with friends 10 of us altogether and what a fabulous time we had such a beautiful cottage and everything inside is perfect each room has it's own little touch of quirkiness, very nice gesture with the cakes and prosecco so thoughtful, lovely views, everything we needed for the bbq was spot on the seating was great and the hot tub was lush , everything was spotless, We had a fantastic weekend would definitely recommend that it's a great place to go with friends or family we look forward to returning thanks for a perfect stay.

As a party of ten, 6 adults and four children under ten we had a lovely time at Ty Ffarm .

House had everything we needed. The out side was brilliant for the kids and the hot tub was great . So if anyone is looking for a large house in lovely and peaceful surroundings I would certainly recommend Ty Ffarm .

Ty Ffarm was the perfect base from which to explore South Wales.

In spite of the occasional shower, we were able to spend most evenings outside in the hot tub making the most of the sunset over the hills. A real bonus to have separate towels and blankets and a fire pit for the terrace. The house itself was immaculate and the bottles of Prosecco, muffins and cupcakes in the kitchen on arrival were a lovely touch. It was also one of the best equipped homes we have stayed in. Highly recommended!

Ty Ffarm has the WOW factor as far as our family are concerned.

It ticked all the boxes when we booked it for a family holiday to celebrate our Daughters 50th birthday this year. The family consisted of 2 Seniors(my husband and I) our Daughter( 50 this year) her 2 grown Daughters and partners and 3 young children. The reason we booked was because looking at the photos we thought it would cater for all the 4 generations. It certainly did this and more. The photos although good did not capture the true ambience of the home. The farmhouse has been very lovingly renovated to a high standard and everything has been considered, even indoor games for grown ups and kids. The rooms are all decorated and soft furnished to perfection. The kitchen diner has everything you could need. The outside terrace has a hot tub, firepit, seating and table for outside dining, the children are also catered for with trampoline and games and even a small table and deck chairs. The location is exactly what we wanted with wonderful views and peace and quiet for a restful stay. There is a Sainsburys a few minutes drive away and access to major roads for days out nearby but once on the terrace we never heard a car, just bliss. We also ordered an Indian take away delivered to the farmhouse which was delicious especially as we ate outside. Would definitely go back and we all would recommend for a getaway from it all holiday.

It’s a beautifully appointed property in a very tranquil setting.

The facilities are everything one could wish for, from the comfortable lounges to the hot tub. Whilst it’s surrounded on all sides by lovely countryside and located on a working farm, it’s only a short drive or taxi ride from the town of Pontypridd and then only half an hour or so by car or train from Cardiff and about a 30 to 45 minute drive from the Brecon Beacons National Park, which is stunning.

We had a lovely holiday it’s a shame that though the house sleeps up to 12 there is no one room that you can seat 12 in, we were 8 adults and 2 small children and we struggled to seat round the kitchen table.

Having a hot tub was a bonus for the grandchildren as we have one at home, unfortunately because of where it’s positioned it had a lot of debris in it and was dirty which was off putting, in fairness to Babs and Alan they come out to put cleaning chemicals in it and left them for our use, but without emptying out the tub and cleaning it and the filters it’s impossible to remedy the problem. I think it would be helpful for the hot tub to be maintained by a spa/ swimming pool company. Despite these few niggles we had a fantastic time, the house is finished to a good standard is very well equipped

I booked this property as a surprise for my mum's 50th birthday this weekend.

What a fantastic property! Set in a peaceful hillside location with amazing views. 9 of us stayed at this property and it more than accommodated us. The property itself has been loving and beautifully renovated. It is equipped with everything you need and is truly a home from home. The dinning kitchen has everything from bin bags to tea towels. A cold storeroom with fridge freezer washer/dryer iron and ironing board. 3 bathrooms inside and a lovely outside toilet room. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage and even have colour co ordinating towels. The outside area has a hot tub, (towels provided) bbq patio with dinning table and a lawn (artificial grass) with a trampoline and plenty of room for children to play.Outdoor and indoor games to keep them entertained along with dvds and books. The owners are wonderful and very helpful and also left us cupcakes, muffins and bubbly. It’s a good base to visit many sights around South Wales, castles, caves,walking, trail running and even treetop mini golf! We can not recommend this property enough and most certainly will be returning. In fact we have already booked again for my 30th next year.

Ty Farm I cannot recommend highly enough.

We had a fantastic action packed week.. From shooting, golf, gorge walking and a fantastic evening out in Cardiff followed up by 3days at BikePark Wales. It’s central location made it all run smoothly. Topping it off after busy filled days sitting out on the patio or in the hot tub as a group looking over the views was going with a cold beer couldn’t of been better. Will be booking Ty Farm up again very soon!

The holiday farm was exactly as shown in the photos, excellent quality of finish and spotlessly tidy.

All 8 mountain bikers had a great time there, enjoying the big kitchen for meals, the middle lounge for a beer or 2 and the hot tub for relaxation ofter some hard rides in the mountains. The beds were very comfy and the showers for large, hot and powerful, perfect! The boot from was plenty big enough for our bikes, although we did put down a tarp to help protect the decor. A nice touch was the cakes and wine on our arrival, that made us all feel very welcome. The owner was in touch from start to finish to make sure we had everything we needed, thank you! We would use the farm again and thoroughly recommend it to any other largish groups or families.

The pictures were good but seeing the house in real life was better!

The location was very private yet close by to shops if needed. The decoration and finish of the place was stylish, modern yet cosy and characterful! Ample space! Great back garden and views! There was nothing that had not been thought of, especially when it came to the hot tub, the outdoor table by it and all the outdoor cups etc and fleeces! At one point we needed a dust pan but couldn't find it. Wasn't sure where to put the bins and recycling. Contact with the hosts was comforting and helpful. They were kind when the chair bust under my friend and not a hint of funny. The whole trip and stay at the house was great! Can not fault this place. I would definitely like to go back. 10 out of 10! Thank you! :)

The house was lovely, tastefully furnished and more than enough equipment.

Location was perfect for us and the owners extremely friendly and accommodating.

The house was so quaint and well-equipped, attention to detail was paramount, loved the different animal/bird themes in each room.

Gellilwch was so close to Cardiff, and yet it was so peaceful it was like a different world! It was exactly what we needed. On a note of caution, the drive to get to it is single track and steep in places - but it's worth it when you get there. The house is absolutely lovely. It's a wonderful mix of history and modern facilities. We loved the way each room has been decorated with its own beautiful character, and the adults and teens in our group really appreciated the WiFi. The whole house is really well equipped - the kitchen had everything we needed, there were indoor and outdoor toys for the children, and there were plenty of towels, including hot tub towels and a hand towel for each sink. I was a bit concerned before we went, that we were warned about some areas outside to avoid. But the house and garden are enclosed so it was no problem. If you had very young children you would have to watch them in the parking area, that's all. The owners of the house were lovely, and responded quickly and helpfully whenever we contacted them. Thank you!

We had a really lovely weekend at the cottage on a cold, rainy Feb weekend.

Thankfully the cottage was beautiful, warm and clean. In fact it was just perfect! The hot tub was a joy especially late at night in the pouring rain with the wind blowing ... we all sat in there for hours without a care in the world. The facilities were ideal (only thing I would have liked is a blender but I'm just splitting hairs!) The rooms were so nice and the beds so comfy. Smart TVs in both living rooms and uninterrupted broadband. We are 100% coming back!

We had an amazing stay at Th Ffarm.

What a beautiful house overlooking idyllic countryside. The house itself had everything you could need; a fabulous hot-tub, wonderful log fires, beautifully decorated bedrooms and living areas. As three couples, with four children between us, this house gave us ample space to be able to spend our New-year break together, but allowing us to have our own family space. The kitchen was well equipt and the muffins went down well! Such wonderful touches by the owners, including games, books and dvds for all ages. All contact with the owners has been fantastic and nothing has been too much trouble for them. We all really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back again. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone, even smaller families or groups as the layout of the house means it doesn't feel too big if there are less of you there. Recently back from an amazing Christmas weekend at Ty Ffarm.

I can not recommended this stunning property enough!! Every single room is decorated beautifully & the women especially appreciated the matching decor in every room. As well as this the whole house is immaculate. We were a party of 6 adults & 4 kids & found there was plenty of space for us all & the size of the house is a definite bonus when you have noisy kiddies. The kitchen is so well equipped we even managed to comfortably cook roast dinner for us all!! That roll top bath & amazing shower was a huge added bonus too.   The wonderful & kind owners have thought of EVERYTHING. From the many towels & beautifully fresh bedding, games in every room, torches in the drawers, lanterns for the garden to the little treats left for us on arrival. The open fires kept the house super cosy & the Christmas decorations were a beautiful touch. The hot tub was amazing & the kids loved the trampoline & garden games in which they stayed clean, even in the rain, due to the very much appreciated astro turf. You should absolutely book here, you will not be disappointed :)

We stayed at Ty Ffarm for a long weekend at the end off November to visit Cardiff.

The location of the property is beautiful; it’s set at the top of a hill, and the resulting views are lovely. The property itself is large, luxurious and spotlessly clean with everything you need for a break. We made good use of the hot tub, and spent a couple of very pleasant evenings playing board games in front of the fire. A fantastic short break: we’ll be looking to book again soon.

We stayed in Aug with 3 teenage boys 4 adults, one of whom uses a wheelchair.

Owners are fantastic, genuine people who find the balance between help and privacy perfectly. House is immaculate and we'll thought through. Location is great with great views and a real sense of being away from everything. The outdoor space is perfect for families and my loud boys could make as much noise without disturbing anyone. Great find.

The cottage was of the highest quality.

There is all ages catered for plenty for the children to do and very well thought out layout of the whole cottage. Highly recommended.

The house far exceeded our expectations, it was modern, clean, had everything we needed and the space was much bigger than the pictures on the internet show, all in a peaceful location with amazing views. The owners were brilliant with communication and even helped us to find local firework displays for us to visit with the children. Amazing experience from start to finish!

Booking was quick and easy. As for the cottage.... Wow! A perfect piece of paradise. The stunning cottage was huge, designed and finished to the highest spec and had every extra and home comfort you could need and more. The hot tub was a wonderful extra and there was so much for both adults and children to do. The owners added extra treats which were a lovely surprise. I cannot recommend this place high enough. We are already looking forward to booking our next trip. 5*

I can't write enough words to describe how beautiful and well equipped this house was.

The house itself was lovely with decent sized bedrooms (with very comfy beds), 3 well sized modern bathrooms, lovely living rooms (with gorgeous fires) and a fantastic kitchen. The outside was well equipped and the hot tub was lovely, fake grass for all year entertainment with added lawn games and the view was unreal! The kitchen was very well equipped and we found that the extra tools that we usually bring were not needed at all. Decent sized pans, sharp knifes, plenty of other utensils, frying pans and a wok. Appliances were all new and worked well and there was 2 fridges. On top of all of this, the hosts were fantastic and we didn't even see them!

Owners communication was fabulous....lovely warm couple! Speedy responses to any queries we had too. Hot tub absolutely perfect, especially after our mountain walks (30ish mins away) and beach days (went to 4 different ones, all 40ish mins away) Rural views were spectacular. Comfy beds and sofas. A brilliant array of books and toys for the kids..no one was bored of an evening!! Adults in the tub, wine in hand, kids playing on the trampoline...bliss!! This place is honestly the best we've stayed at through Sykes and we really didn't want to leave!! Highly recommend!
