Everything the 8 of us needed whilst staying at Garth for the Eisteddfod (Wales National Eisteddfod) at Llantwd. Plenty of kitchen equipment for some home cooking and everything we needed was provided at Garth. Many thanks for a special place and an excellent week. Diolch

Garth is in a lovely location but we felt the property fell short of our expectations compared with other Sykes cottages we've stayed at.

We were disappointed at the overall level of cleanliness, eg the kitchen cupboard doors weren't clean, with streaks and marks left on them. There were crumbs behind the bread bin and in the utensils drawer. The cooker had white cleaning residue still left on it.The conservatory windows had handprints. We felt the property required a thorough clean as there were also some marks on the floors, we didn't actually use the living room but noticed what appeared to be chocolate smears on the floor and biscuit crumbs. We noticed the upstairs bathroom had a peculiar damp/fish smell as mention by a previous guest. The shower head in the upstairs bathroom kept on coming off. In places the laminate flooring downtairs had deteriorated and was being held down in part by sellotape. On a positive note, we loved the views from the conservatory only slightly marred by the redundant diesel tank left in situ. The cottage was spacious and had ample off road parking, plenty of hot water and loo rolls which we really appreciated and was in a good location to see the surrounding area. If the property was brought back to the high standards shown in the photos on the website , it would be an excellent property to stay at. We just felt the house needs a thorough clean, some basic maintenance and a lick of paint to bring it back to its advertised image.

We really enjoyed our week spent at Garth in May 2026.

The property is well furnished with all services fully functional and sufficient parking for at least 4 cars. We thought the road might be noisy but we didnt find this was the case. We met the owner briefly and just mentioned that a big saucepan would be welcomed. The next day she brought round a brand new one for us! We found plenty to do in the local area especially as we enjoy walking in the countryside and along the coast.

This is a lovely property and ideal for a group wishing to stay in Pembrokeshire.

The cottage is really spacious with comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, lots of bathrooms and a wonderful conservatory where we spent most of our time. Little touches launch as the welshcakes that we found when we arrived and a very comprehensive information booklet added to our stay. The views from the conservatory were lovely and with Cardigan, supermarkets and the Pembrokeshire coast just short drives away, the property is ideally located.

Enjoyed staying at this property

It was a lovely property with everything you needed for your stay.

Lovely and clean and clear instructions for everything you needed to use. It was a little difficult to find at first and use of “what three words” would have made it easier but after enquiries at the local pub we soon found it. The only issue we had was that on a few occasions we found a really strong smell originating from around the two separate bathrooms but these went after a little while. Overall though, I would be very happy to stay there again

The house is in a great location to explore the area.

The property is looking a little tired in places. The property is on a very busy road which is not mentioned in the listing. So we didn't have the peace and quiet that we thought we would have.

We we're a family of 6, mother, 3 son's, wife and cousin.

Garth was perfect for us all, with everything we needed at the property. The views are fantastic, and there a lot's of places within an hour's drive to visit. We would definitely recommend garth as a great place to stay.

Garth is a lovely house with plenty of room, with everything you need to enjoy your stay.

The views from conservatory are great. Cardigan is only a few minutes drive away. The pub in the village was lovely and welcoming and the food is excellent. Aberystwyth, Tenby & St David’s are within easy reach.

It was a great place to stay in and a very beautiful place and in a great location.

The Decor was fresh and bright and very spacious we had 7 people staying. It was a really lovely touch to have the Welsh cakes waiting for us, loved them. The welcome pack was very informative and a lovely touch. I would stay there again. Thank you

Lovely comfortable and spotless house.

Owners had thought of everything including a welcome pack. (Much appreciated after our long drive from Scotland!) Conservatory was great. Loved watching the red kites floating past. Garden with open views. So peaceful! Great local walks and castle to visit from the doorstep. Beautiful area. Clean beaches. Lots of lovely pubs with good food. Would highly recommend.

Garth is in a beautiful rural location within striking distance of many of the visitor attractions for which is area is justly famous.

The house and gardens provide a tranquil retreat from the hurly burly of modern life - idyllic.

Garth is the best property we have stayed in.

Well kept, beautifully presented with everything we needed for a lovely stay. The owners were delightful too.

Overall the house was well kept and comfortable and provided facilities required for a group of people or large family.

There was plenty of space both inside and out. The provisions left by the owners was a thoughtful touch and appreciated. One minor detail which would have made our stay a little more comfortable would have been the provision of a king-size bed in at least one of the bedrooms, as there is more than enough room to accommodate.

Really well and generously equipped. Great facilities for cooking and eating meals as a family. One small issue which owner addressed really quickly. Loved the conservatory with comfortable seating. Plenty of room for large qroups. Ample driveway parking. Lovely area with easy access to beautiful beaches and a local nature reserve.

A BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY TO STAY AT WITH FABULOUS VIEWS.

WE APPRECIATED THE PROPERTY PROVIDING TEA TOWELLS AND CLEANING EQUIPMENT SUCH AS KITCHEN SPRAY EVEN PROVIDING FOIL AND CLING FILM. THE ONLY THING MISSING WAS BAKING TRAYS AND A POTATOE MASHER. WOULD DEFINETELY STAY HERE AGAIN

Had plenty of space and everything we needed. Good base to explore the area. Fantastic views. Good local pub just along the road.

Overall it was a very pleasant week spent in a lovely cottage, made even better by the fact that the weather was kind for the time of year.

The cottage itself was very spacious with a lovely conservatory that had a beautiful outlook. It was generally very comfortable and well equipped. Ideal for a family get-together.

We were a group of five individuals on a photography trip and have just returned from a marvelous week staying at Garth.

The property is very spacious, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The location is great, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the large conservatory where there are lovely views over the surrounding fields. The owner stopped by after a few days just to check we were happy with everything, and had been kind enough to leave a welcome pack of milk and delicious Welsh cakes for our arrival. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. It’s in a lovely quiet location but only a very short drive from Cardigan with its shops and supermarkets, as well as being within 15 or 20 minutes of some stunning beaches. I’d rate Garth 10/10.

Had a lovely week here,lovely place to stay with everything we could possibly have needed .

We were left a very generous welcome pack which was very much appreciated,the Welsh cakes were delicious. Property was spotlessly clean too which was great.It is on a busy A road so there was some traffic noise but that wouldn't stop us from booking again.All in all a fab week spent with precious family members.

What can I say, WOW, what a lovely house, the views from the conservatory were amazing, and seeing the resident buzzard, and the red kites was unreal.

The house is wonderful, beds were comfortable, and it had everything. The only downside, no hot tub lol. It's a fabulous place to stay, in a great location, we all loved it. In fact I've already booked to come back next year.

Everything was brilliant.

Would certainly recommend it. Plenty of space, very comfortable beds, beautiful views from conservatory, fire in living room and dining room {so not always need to put heating on}. Only downfall of holiday was the weather, but plenty of little bays and village to see by car. All in all we all enjoyed our stay at Garth. Thankyou to the owners for a brilliant job.

We had a really lovely holiday at Garth.

We are a family group of 5 adults and a toddler. The conservatory was fabulous, come rain or shine. The house was very well equipped with big soft towels and comfortable beds, and the welcome gift of tea, coffee, milk and homemade Welsh cakes was a lovely surprise. We struggled to get the hob to work on Saturday evening, and the owner came over to try to help. At 4pm on Sunday a new hob was being fitted. How's that for service? If we had any suggestions it would be, as others have said, a second fridge in the utility area. We also found, for us, there to be a lack of ambient lighting in both the lounge and the dining room. We actually borrowed some side lamps from the bedrooms to soften things a little. Otherwise it was perfect, thank you.

A beautiful property, plenty of space for are party of 5 adults and a 1 year old and a 3 year old .

The Views from the conservatory which we sat in every night are lovely and very relaxing . The owner provides so much of those essentials which you would need for your holiday, along with a large milk and lovely Welsh scones . We hope to return

The property was fantastic.

It has everything you will need and is situated in an ideal position for exploring South West Wales. The welcome pack was a nice touch! I would highly recommend this property!

Garth is a beautiful home with added touches giving comfort and tranquility.

I love sitting in the conservatory watching the sunset. 4th stay here so expect I will return again at some point. The cooker and hob can be tricky to work however I don’t cook too much when away. The pub a few doors along is barely open and when it is it’s 530-830, there reviews appear good for food however I tried once and never again, so better off taxi or short drive into cardigan quite a few places to drink and eat.

Garth is a large comfortable cottage which was wonderful spacious and clean.

Loved "Garth" and the general area.

The house was very comfortable and warm, I think we practically lived in the conservatory. The cooker hob took a little bit of getting used to, and perhaps a few more plates would be helpful. The owner took the time to come over to make sure we were ok, which was nice, and the Welsh cakes and fresh flowers were a nice gesture. Would definitely recommend.

The welcome pack was a nice touch as was the homemade welshcakes. Daughter enjoyed the selection of board games.

A perfect location to stay and explore the Pembrokeshire coast and countryside.

Garth has all the facilities required for a comfortable stay which was enjoyed by us and our friends, making it a memorable experience.

Garth cottage was very spacious, great location, comfortable with nice views.

There was nearly everything in the cottage to make your stay great. There was a couple of things we thought would improve the stay, a radio, a larger fridge as the one in the kitchen is a under counter one so for eight people it’s not big enough, there is space in the utility room. Also paintwork needs doing but the cottage is so busy with bookings at the moment that may have to wait till winter. Good pub close by, only opens some nights, good food and plentiful. We would stay again if in the area

We all just love this house.

It’s relaxing and just love the room! The conservatory is our favourite and I sat watching the weather for hours. The property has everything you need Definitely will be returning again! I did have a bit of an issue on this stay with back pain as the mattress is very hard however it does not put me off returning and it’s probably personal preference. The owner is very responsive and helpful and the welcome goodies are very much appreciated

An enjoyable week in a lovely part of Wales.

The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of plates, dishes and sets of glasses, dishwasher and washing machine. The fridge is too small for up to 8 people. A point that I did make to the owner which he acknowledged as being a valid comment. Otherwise the rooms are all comfortable, large and well furnished. The house is a good size for a group. The garden is ideal for small children. Safe and secure. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Fabulous place .

It felt roomy even with 6 adults and 2 children. The conservatory was a family retreat whilst the lounge was a quiet haven. The spacious garden was great for the children and the adults loved a gamed of bowls. The bedrooms were spacious and the whole cottage was beautifully decorated. The real bonus was the welcome pack and the homemade Welsh cakes ! Everything was catered for. Thank you Rhian

Great house which suited our needs perfectly Fantastic views and only a short walk from the pub Peny Bryn Arms which served the most delicious food.

The only thing that we found frustrating was the cooking facility. The induction hob was difficult to use although we followed the instructions carefully. In the end we gave up and ended up having to eat out more than planned. Overall a brilliant week away with lovely weather. Would recommend

Garth was a wonderful place to stay, we enjoyed every minute.

The view was fantastic as was the conservatory to sit in. The Spare Ribs were excellent at the Penybryn Arms as were the staff. We visited the surrounding areas and went as far as St. David’s. It was fantastic. Thank you for making the property so welcoming.

We had a lovely break, easy access to local amenities, castle and nature reserve.

There were issues with hob, which were quickly resolved and much appreciated. Only two comments we have, and are in no way negative. We would have gladly put out the rubbish. However, we didn’t know when the collection was, it was early one morning and we didn’t get chance to put it out kerbside in time. We also purchased some oven gloves so not to ruin the towel provided. These were left for another occupant.

The house provided all we needed for our week away.

The conservatory was especially good as it was a usable size with heating, although when the sun shone, we didn't need the heating!

We had a great holiday, the owners were very accommodating with everything we needed.

They went the extra mile to make our stay amazing and most enjoyable. The property was very clean and made festive for this time of year. I would highly recommend to friends and family.

The owners provide everything you need. The conservatory at the back has a 180 degree view of the countryside - really amazing. Access to many areas of Pembrokeshire and the special places to visit are easily found. I woud certainly recommend Garth to my family and friends. One of the best Sykes holiday homes we have stayed in - actually the best!

Lovely bungalow in a great location for visiting the area.

Excellent facilities with a fantastic view from the conservatory. We would recommend cenarth falls where you can view from the Riverside carpark. Good boardwalk alongside the river. Mwnt beach bit tricky to access, a lot of steps down. Fantastic views for the cliff tops Favourite restaurant was the nags head. It is a short drive away. Excellent steak. The produce market in St Dogmaels is worth a visit, only small. Mandy's mackerel pate is delicious. The Abbey is impressive if you like ruins. Another Happy holiday

Lovely location. Extremely clean and comfortable. The induction hob took a bit of working out. The conservatory was the highlight but could do with some blinds as it is west facing and the sun at times was too strong.

This property is extremely well-equipped with everything you could wish for to enjoy a very comfortable holiday.

The kitchen cupboards contained basic condiments and we received a much-appreciated welcome-pack of welshcakes, milk, tea and coffee. The conservatory has lovely wide-ranging views and remains warm all day. It is an ideal relaxing venue for any time of the day. All furnishings were clean and comfortable, as were beds and bathrooms. The cottage is close to all amenities (Cardigan 2.2miles) and there is a pub 2 minutes walk away which serves food with a warm welcome. I would recommend this accommodation to friends and family who want a comfortable relaxing stay and take-in the beautiful west-Wales coastline and amenities. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage, it is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need.

The views are stunning, we even saw Deer in the field we overlooked it was great. It is a great location to visit the surrounding countryside and the beaches are amazing. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to make a return visit in the future.

We had an excellent stay at Garth, the property was excellent, very roomy, well maintained and extremely clean.

The owner had provided a welcome pack but has also ensured that there was other basic essentials on hand when we arrived such as washing up liquid, spare loo rolls, paper kitchen towel etc. The location is great for exploring beautiful Pembrokeshire, Cardigan, Poppit Sands, Aberystwyth etc and a local pub, which did us a lovely meal on our first night, only 5 minutes walk from the house.

Fabulous property in an ideal location for travel to St David's Aberystwyth Tenby all within a 50 minute drive local beaches are fabulous and a pub within a couple of hundred yards.

The owner welcomes you in and checks you have all you need. Would highly recommend.

This is a stunning holiday let, everything was perfect, great views and the bonus of a great pub only 100 yards, easy access to all areas, there is a pothole in the road outside the gates which made a noise when lorries passed by, but this is a very minor issue and did not reflect on our enjoyment of the holiday.

An absolutely gorgeous property, we were wowed from the moment we walked in.

Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, great showers and had everything we could have wanted. Well stocked kitchen. We really appreciated the provision of mIlk, tea bags, coffee, sugar and lovely welsh cakes, just what was needed after a long journey. The owners attention to detail is fantastic and we loved the extra touches. We spent a lot of time in the conservatory which had lovely views over the hills. I would highly recommend this property and we will be back if we are in the area again. Thank you very much.

Immaculately presented, comfortable and spacious house.

Ideal location for exploring the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion coast as well as the many lovely surrounding towns and villages. We couldn't fault this property and highly recommended it.

Beds were very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful conservatory. Owners were very welcoming. And a lovely welcome pack, loved the welshcakes. Also loved the Christmas tree and decorations. Will definitely be back next year.

What a lovely cottage.

Added bonus of 2 downstairs on-suites... Ideal for people with mobility issues. Beds were really comfortable. The views from the conservatory was amazing.. We spent most of our time there. Didn't really use the lounge.. We brought our stargazer lights and put them on in the conservatory, was fab.. Thanks to the owners who came to see if we had settled in ok. Lovely welcome pack ie, tea, coffee, milk. And some really tasty welshcakes... Massive bathtowels. Usually when we go away, we always wash the cutlery/plates/cups, but everything was clean, so we didn't need to... But just be aware that it is on a main road, with no path to the town. We got taxi rides to the town which was £6-8. (Which we didn't mind) They do have a local pub which you can walk to.. Would highly recommend this property.

Had a fantastic stay in this beautiful home.

Perfect if you want something a little more comfortable and to be able to really relax in. Fantastic views from the conservatory to wake up to. A real home from home plus lots to do in the area (especially with 3 children)

The cottage itself is absolutely lovely.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Sadly, because it is on a major 'A' road - which we were not aware of - it was very noisy with heavy traffic throughout day and night. The beds actually shake when heavy goods vehicles pass by. That really is the only let down of this well-equipped, spacious cottage. We would recommend the cottage, but would make sure they are aware of the road and noise from it. The area is stunning and well worth a visit. Walks from the cottage are not really recommended because of the busy road, but gorgeous places to walk are a very short drive away.

The house was beautiful, very clean and tidy.

The owners were extremely helpful nothing was too much trouble. The area is stunning with lots of places to visit within a couple of miles. The highlight was seeing a group of deer in the fields early in the morning. A wonderful holiday enjoyed by all and would definitely recommend.

We can't recommend this property enough, really clean, well furnished and a great lay out, especially for families with ground floor bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, also 2 bedrooms upstairs.

The views at the rear of the property are lovely and can be enjoyed from the conservatory and kitchen. Loads of lovely beaches within 10-15 mins drive, we enjoyed a different beach every day of our stay. The owners were extremely helpful during our stay also.
