“Foxglove cottage is deep in the heart of the lovely Pembrokeshire countryside but within easy reach of some good size towns with good shopping facilities.”

The cottage is very cosy, well provisioned and with a large private garden. It is really peaceful with just the sound of cows in the fields and passing tractors. A great place to relax and unwind. The owners, Ian and Carol, were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We would strongly recommend this property to anyone who loves the countryside and who wants to explore the many pretty and interesting places Pembrokeshire and further afield have to offer.

Tregynon Cottages

This 4-star cottage was extensively refurbished in Dec ’24 and offers accommodation for four. Tucked away at the end of a private lane, you will find Foxglove Cottage – a charming stone-built, low barn conversion – along with the owners’ home and the original neighbouring ancient farm known as Tregynon. Foxglove is set in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park in North Pembrokeshire, nestled between the beautiful Gwaun Valley and the foothills of the rolling Preseli Mountains. These mountains embody the very cultural and historic mysticism of Celtic peoples who farmed these lands in centuries long gone. The cottage offers far-reaching views and the chance to sit outside and soak them in, while watching the birds soar overhead and listening to the lambs in the fields. From the doorstep of these delightful stone cottages, you can explore a myriad of walks which will ensure you can discover and enjoy this most beautiful part of West Wales with its extraordinarily rich wildlife, flora, and fauna. And just over the skyline behind the cottage lies the Irish Sea and the Atlantic, beyond. Located in such a scenic spot, just 4 miles from the coastal village of Newport, you may wish to spend some of your holiday simply relaxing right here in this most cosy of cottages, but short drives offer ancient woodlands, the historic Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort, estuaries teaming with seabirds and the wonderful Shire Horse farm to see these superb animals at work. There are also walks on the stunning coastline, sandy beaches, boat trips and historic castles, as well as superb walks in the mystical Preseli Hills where time seems to stand still and which can be reached on foot from the cottages. There is so much to see and do nearby that one stay won’t be long enough, so a return visit may well be part of your plans! Foxglove has been accredited as bike-friendly and walker-friendly by Visit Wales.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.
