What a lovely place to stay!

Stunning views across the rolling Welsh hills, lovely walks around the farm, beautiful property. Bryan our host was very friendly & helpful! Lovely set up with 2 sitting rooms and 2 TVs perfect to give teenage daughter her own space. Double bed is a bit soft & springy, limited kitchen equipment and some was greasy ( needed to clean the metal trays and utensils as put away sticky and dirty). But minor things- would stay again very happily.

Bryan is a wonderful host.

Nothing is too much trouble for him. The cottage more than lived up to expectations from the photographs. Everything there that you could possibly need. Lovely to look out of the kitchen window and see the pond and all the sheep coming to drink from there. It was extremely hot whilst we were there. The stable door was very handy as let the breeze in but our dog couldn't get out. Would highly recommend and hope to be back again next year. Thank you Bryan.

What a truly wonderful week at The Old Workshop cottage.

En route Bryan, our host, messaged us to say that the cottage was all ready for us if we wanted to turn up early, which we did. He was extremely helpful and a great guy to chat to as well. Our first impressions were 'Wow', this place is beautiful. The views across the mill pond are stunning! I never got tired of looking at that view. I loved watching the sheep come and drink from the pond and we were extremely lucky to see an otter too. There is also 180 acres to walk around if you wish to do so. The cottage itself was immaculate. I particularly liked the added touch of all the welsh themed furnishings. The sofa's and bed were very comfy. The heating switch was easy to use and the cottage warmed up lovely. There was always plenty of hot water for showers etc.. and lots of towels too. There was tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits and plenty of cleaning bits and bobs in the cupboard should you need them. Everything was thought of really to make sure our stay was as easy and as comfortable as can be. I also liked the fact that they were big on recycling with all the coloured bins. There is also plenty to do in the area. We were out and about every day. All in all my husband and I had a fantastic stay and I would 100% recommend this cottage. We've only been home a day and I'm missing it already.

We had a wonderful stay and found the cottage to be exactly what we wanted.

Private, peaceful and relaxing. We stayed with two dogs and there was lots of land and places to visit nearby. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. The owner was lovely and even let us stay an extra night free of charge which we really appreciated. We had a wonderful time and would 100% recommend this place to anyone

A superb accommodation in a very quiet location but still within easy reach of some amazing places.

The communication from the owner was fantastic, checking in every so often to make sure we had everything we needed. The cottage itself was immaculate, and had everything we could possibly need to make our stay so truly amazing. The facilities within the cottage were fantastic, the bed was so comfy, there was tea, coffee, milk and biscuits to enjoy after a long day out. The smart tvs in both the living room and bedroom allowed us to chill out with a movie or 2 in the evening. Outside was a very spacious garden area allowing our little dog space to stretch her legs. Next to the cottage was a lovely little pond and the views beyond were stunning. I would highly recommend The Old Workshop for anyone visiting this lovely part of Wales.

Our first venture into Wales not fully realising the distance from North East England.

As we approached it was to be a one off, never again, too far etc! Then we opened the door to The Old Workshop! A cosy sitting area on one side and lovely comfy bed on the other and a small shower room off to one side of the room. A door out the back to a wooden deck with table and chairs to relax looking out onto a grassed area, ideal for our two dogs to watch the world go by! I could have been quite happy with just this but needed to find the kitchen! Upstairs was a whole different world! Very contemporary loft room with sofa and armchairs and tv, a breakfast bar and modern, fully equipped kitchen down full length of one wall. It’s one of the few places I’ve stayed that was equipped to fully prepare a meal not just reheat! Bryan the host was friendly and very informative and always available by text if he wasn’t around if anything was needed. We were free to walk anywhere around the farm with the dogs on leads. There was a fenced paddock the dogs could be off lead. Everything was relaxed, nothing too much trouble, needless to say the long journey was forgotten and we will definitely return.

Very quiet and peaceful in the midst of very beautiful countryside. We had some lovely walks around the farm and the accommodation was excellent.

What a gem!

We had a wonderful stay here, super cosy and comfortable. The surrounding area was peaceful and my little dogs had the time of their lives. They particularly loved looking out of the window at the sheep on the top field. Bryan was a welcoming and friendly host. We fully hope to return next year as plenty to do in West Wales.

Although remote the property was easy to find.

It was clean and well presented. Ideal for use as a base from which to explore the area. The owner was most helpful and welcoming, explaining the history of the property and the surrounding area. We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

Great place to stay!

especially for us as a couple. The ground were beautiful and lovely to sit out in. It felt very out of the way and peaceful, you feel nicely disconnected from everything but within range to drive to other towns. Downstairs was incredibly comfortable with the sofas and bed and the upstairs was very modern and well equipped. Would definitely recommend!
