“This is our third visit to The Old Stables and Gill, the owner, has maintained the very high standards which she has set previously in providing accommodation which is warm, welcoming, very well equipped and in the perfect location to explore a delightful part of the country.”

After a good day out, we always looked forward to getting “ home”, the best possible outcome for any holiday accommodation.

The property

A delightful, stone barn conversion, situated in the coastal town of Fishguard, Wales.

The Old Stables boasts a wonderfully renovated, modern interior, with high-quality furnishings, whilst still managing to retain its lovely period features, such as the stone walls.

Step into the open-plan living space, with two large sofas to curl up on of an evening, whilst catching up with the day's events, or enjoying a romantic movie night.

The kitchen rests behind, with wooden units and sleek worktops, housing a range of appliances so you can cook up a delicious meal for the whole family, whilst the dining area provides space to enjoy your meals over a chilled glass of wine.

Retire to the large double bedroom of an evening and get some much needed rest for the days ahead, with ample storage space for your personal items.

There is a mezzanine snug area resting over the living space, with chairs and a single bed in case you have any extra guests wishing to stay.

Take a refreshing drink out to the gravelled garden area, or take advantage of the barbecue area and cook up a storm!

While you're in the area, take a drive towards the wonderful peninsula of Dinas Island, known for its spectacular walks and some of the finest views across the Pembrokeshire coast.

Or venture towards Dyffryn Fernant Gardens, spanning across six-acres of landscaped gardens with exotic plants from around the world, and a delightful library with the owners own personal selection of eclectic books to view.

Take a seat in the armchair and get lost in a choice of gardening, nature and artistic books.

The Old Stables is the perfect for choice for a coastal holiday to Wales.
