The Long Barn

Just as good as it was four years ago when we last visited, very spacious and comfortable.

John the owner was very helpful when needed and was pleased to see us again.

Amazing property with three bathrooms and power showers, underfloor heating means the barn is always cosy when used -- and the Log Burner means a real fire adds life to the property.

John was on site ready to help with any questions or concerns and every possible item required for a comfortable stay is provided.

Very comfortable stay - perfect for puffins on Skomer and coastal path walking.

Lovely friendly host who lives close by which is handy. Comfy beds, baths and hot water. Probably need to invest in more wine glasses and an extra t towel!!!

The Long Barn is very comfortable and interesting barn.

The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. Underfloor heating and log burner made it very cosy, power showers refreshing. Beds were comfortable. Garden was secure for our dog. Beaches and coastal walks are breathtaking. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will go back. We used what3words for navigating to property.

Really lovely place!

Beautiful conversion of a barn. Well equipped. There's 2 beds on a mezzanine which makes it seem like a den, which the kids loved. Master bed was very comfortable and a great power shower in the en suite. Location is super, on a farm, which was very quiet, beaches and hiking paths are all nearby. John the host lives next door and was very helpful and responsive. There was a very helpful file of locations to visit. Those coming for 1st time, be sure to see Aberredi where the lagoon is. This totally made the trip for us, absolutely stunning. Woud definitely recommend this property.

The barn is located in a beautiful area near spectacular coastline and pretty villages.

Lanes are very narrow and we found we needed a car to get to the coast. Three people could eat in comfort round the dining table but more would have been tricky. We used two of the three bedrooms and bathrooms. Showers were very strong and hot and bathrooms generally clean. There are issues with cleanliness and maintenance, however. Some crockery was grubby and pans heavily stained, which was hard to remedy as there were no dishwasher tablets. The owner tried to get us some while he was away but they were laundry tablets. Dishwasher tablets were provided at the end of our stay. There were some cobwebs -common at this time of year but suggesting a lack of care-and dirty shelves. Several items of crockery were chipped and there were only two (mismatched) wine glasses. Plenty of flutes though! Fly mess was on lampshades and some lightbulbs didn’t work in living area. No working light above hob.Lovely chairs on mezzanine but one in living room appeared to have been put back together with bits of wood. The tv remote did not work reliably and there were no black bags for waste or recycling. Walls needed painting. Two of the towels we used were stained. Bedlinen was clean and smooth. Pillows were fine.

Beautiful cottage set in the heart of the working farm.

Spacious modern interior with everything you could need for a self catering holiday. Great parking. Other people’s negative comments about the bumpy road to the cottage is not true. It’s a well made track, and what you would expect in rural Wales. The owner, John, is delightful and wants you to have a good holiday. There are so many spectacular beaches close by. Broad Haven, Little Haven, Marloes Sands, Stackpole Quay, Sandy Haven and nearby Pembroke. The weather was great and the Welsh people were helpful and kind at all times. Eager to go back next year to explore this beautiful area some more. Many thanks to John.

Long Barn is well equipped and very comfortable.

A charming barn conversion. The owner is very welcoming and called to make sure we were ok the first morning. It’s only a 20minute drive from the Skomer Island ferry so perfect for a trip to see the puffins.

Pleasant barn in very quiet location.

The garden and outdoor areas need attention. We had to clean the oven before we could use it. This property would suit people who wanted peace and quiet. The nearest shops are in Broad Haven a 10 minute drive along very narrow lanes. The Pembrokeshire coastline is stunning and we enjoyed seeing it despite the weather!

Perfect location for 6 adults - all furnished and equipped to a high standard.

Great to have renewable heating and must be very cosy in the winter! Farmer John (Russell) was a perfect host too. Thank you John and see you again!

A lovely barn conversion perfect for us and our friends.

Secure outside area for dogs and it was lovely watching the newborn calf in the adjacent barn. Owner very friendly and helpful and a lovely area to explore. Can’t wait to go back

It had everything we needed. The showers are fantastic! It’s in an ideal location for visiting all the beaches in the area, and St David’s and South Pembrokeshire too. Very friendly and helpful owner.

Lovely place in very peaceful setting on a farm, but very easy to get out and about.

The beds were very comfortable, plenty of space to relax and we had all kitchen tools for cooking, which we did each evening. Enclosed secure garden for dog and he enjoyed it.

John was extremely helpful and friendly.

The accomodation was superb. The only criticism is the lack of a shaver socket.

A super holiday property which caters for everyone in the family whether old or young.

The owner is very helpful and kind if needed. The open plan kitchen and sitting area gives a feeling of space with a quiet reading area up the open stairs if anyone wants to be away from the television downstairs. The property is only a ten minute drive from the coast but care needs to be taken when travelling on the single lanes with passing places.

A beautiful peaceful setting and a lovely, helpful owner.

The renovation of the barn provides a modern kitchen and bathrooms whilst overall maintaining the character of the original barn in the main living area and upstairs. The double doors in the living room mean you can easily step outside with a cuppa, even in the rain as the seating area is covered. It's lovely.

We loved every second of our stay.

The Barn is amazing. The children loved waking up in the mornings to see the cows. Its a very beautiful place to stay and we cannot wait to come back.

Fitted out to a really high standard this converted barn offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Pembrokeshire coast. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend.

It was well equipped with everything us and the dogs needed. John and Virginia made us feel very welcome and it was reassuring that they were on hand if we had any problems. I would thoroughly recommend this property for a relaxing, away from it all break.

Description of facilities was accurate.

All beds were very comfortable. It was noted that the property said not suitable for wheelchair use. In fact the living space on the ground floor was very cramped for 6 people. It did help that there were 2 comfortable chairs on the upper floor which could be used but this split the group. The third twin bedroom was very restricted in space but there was no indication of this in the description, and no picture. The kitchen was very adequate and well supplied with crockery. The owners were friendly and helpful. It was good after the holiday that we received an email thanking all the family for leaving the barn so tidy it was very much appreciated.

Garden description very misleading.

No grass where the sitting is after the patio only uneven farm yard not really suitable for small children.Front lawn very narrow only a small bench on an uneven strip of concrete .No relaxing there with a drink as stated. One of the owners very grumpy verging rude.

A wonderful cottage in a quiet location.

The house is appointed to a very high standard with every thing you need for your stay. The owners are very friendly and only next door so really useful if they are needed and our son loved being surrounded by the cows and tractors on the farm. The local pubs are a drive away but well worth it, especially in Little Haven and the beaches are incredible. Check the tide times that are given to you in a booklet in the cottage. A fantastic cottage in a beautiful location.

Absolutely super break at The Long Barn.

Owners only live next to the property which was super on arrival and very welcoming. The Long Barn has all the amenities that you need for your stay. Very close to some beautiful areas so perfect for walking and touring. Very picturesque area for a holiday.

The Long Barn was excellent, close to many beaches, quiet, comfortable and had everything you needed.

The owners of the barn John and Virginia were also very friendly. There are many beautiful beaches and coastal walks to visit. Barafundle Bay near Pembroke was spectacular, Marloes, Little Haven, Broad Haven all dog friendly but you must check the tide times. St David's and Solva are well worth a visit. A fantastic week but we were lucky with the weather NO RAIN.

Ideal location to explore the area, plenty of room in a peaceful location

We have just spent a lovely week at Long Barn with our Labrador Ruby who was safe in the front garden as well as the yard at the back of the property.

The Long Barn is well equipped with well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. We found the Barn lovely and warm on chilly days. The owners are easily contacted as they live next door and indeed they told us not to hesitate to knock if we needed anything at all.

We had a baby and dog.

Everything we needed for both was at the barn.

It was our first time away during Xmas holidays and we took the family and 2 grandchildren with us it was fantastic.

The Long Barn has been converted beautifully and tastefully.

It was extremely clean. Very well appointed and containing everything you need while on holiday, even down to sandwich bags, pizza cutter and washing tablets! Lots of lovely beaches within easy reach. Owners very friendly. We will hopefully return!

The property exceeded all our expectations.

The owners were there to welcome us and show us around the property and tell us how everything worked. They were extremely approachable and helpful throughout our stay, a really lovely couple. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

Lovely spacious barn conversion set in a small quiet hamlet that includes Hasguard Farm and only a short drive from the beaches at Little Haven and Broad Haven.

Owners are on site and very friendly. Tiled throughout with a small enclosed garden which is ideal for dogs. Great for star gazers, bird watchers and bat enthusiasts as no light pollution. We really enjoyed our super relaxing stay and would book again.

The Long Barn is situated in a good location with lots of places within easy driving distance.

John and Virginia were great hosts and extremely accommodating and communication was good from the start. They also got the barn ready early as the weather on our first day was due to be terrible. The barn itself is a fantastic place to take your family on holiday as we did. Our children thoroughly enjoyed their stay and spending time exploring the farm. There is plenty to see and do, even if the weather is poor. All in all we'd definitely holiday in the Long Barn again.

John and Virginia were very welcoming and helpful, and the property is great. It's a very stylish barn conversion, and we were very impressed by the standard of the interior. It was roomy and comfortable for a family of five, and in a really good location, completely peaceful and within a short distance of beaches, castles, islands - and some very nice pubs. We would definitely like to return.

very well equiped with plenty of dishwasher tablets, washing powder etc to last the week . Secure enclosed garden for the dogs, we were able to leave the door open for them to wander in and out. Fantastic peacefull location with numerous sandy beaches and rocky coves near by to explore.
