Primrose Cottage

We had a fantastic holiday at Primrose Cottage.

The house was perfect for our family holiday; clean, comfortable and beautiful views to the beach and the surrounding countryside. Everything we could possibly wish for!

Fantastic stay with family including grandchildren.

Great view and only short walk to beach at Newgale. Everything you could possibly need in house including age related toys for our 1 and 2 yr olds. Everything very well thought out.

Primrose Cottage is beautiful and perfect a great example of a true holiday cottage it was welcoming ,clean and comfortable.

Sue and Johns attention to detail was spot on and NOTHING could be faulted their personal touches were much appreciated. They were attentive but not obtrusive they were truly genuine and kind. All 3 generations of my family fitted in well at Primrose it suited each one of their needs in entirety different ways. I loved the location calm and safe and in an ideal part of Wales for us to explore as well as having relaxed great days out on the expansive beach in Newgale. My 82 year old mother loved the view from the living room it was like therapy and much enjoyed her bedroom and en-suite being on the one floor. She too loved how clean Wales was and how caring everyone was within the community. As for my13yr old she loved the kayaking

We had a lovely time at primrose cottage.

We travelled as a family 6, me my wife and 4 children (aged 10,8,6 and 4). The cottage was very clean and tidy. The setting is very relaxing. Nice selection of dvds/books and games for all. Very comprehensive and up to date information regarding the local area and accommodation provided by the hosts. Nice beach and local walks. Would definitely stay again.

We had a super time at Primrose Cottage.

Spotlessly clean. Spacious. Comfortable. Amazing views. Everything provided for a very relaxing stay. I say relaxing but we couldn't help walking to the beach often, and it's only 5 mins. Short drive to St. Davids and lots of quiet coves, beaches and villages. Pubs and cafes provided us with excellent food. Very good communication with owners. We will return to Primrose.

The five of us spent an amazing week in Newgale.

The cottage exceeded expectation and we were comfortable, warm and had plenty of space to either be together, or have some downtime to ourselves. The owners were responsive when needed and welcoming. Lovely touches were having washing up liquid, Handcream and towels laid on. The bottle of white in the fridge was also a nice touch. The view towards the sea was amazing. A big thank you to Sue and John.

Very clean and had good facilities. The owners also communicated very well with check-in/out instructions and during our stay. Would highly recommend the property and the property owners. The rating given is a reflection of the property and the property landlords, not Sykes.

This is a wonderful cottage in a beautiful location.

A cosy, welcoming cottage, perfectly situated for a beach holiday, but away from busy crowds and traffic.

The property had every available amenity, practically laid out to accommodate wet suits, 3 teenagers and evening drinks with a perfect view of the surrounding countryside and beach. We will definitely pay Primrose cottage another visit!

A very comfortable, well-equipped house.

The bed was spacious and a peaceful area so slept well. The retro living room is good and there are lovely views from all sides. Communications from the owner were good. You can easily miss the narrow lane the house is on, it isn't very long but only one car wide. The beach is only a short walk away.

This house was the perfect base for our holiday.

The house is well equipped and has fabulous views of the bay from the comfortable lounge area and window seating. It is only a short walk to the beach and onto the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coastal Path for miles and miles of stunning walks! Spotlessly clean throughout....big table for family dining together ...and we loved the retro feel to the upstairs decor.

Ideal for a group of 6 people, plenty of space in the cottage, fantastic location, peaceful and relaxing, plenty of scenic places to visit, superb beaches.

Cleaning standards especially are excellent. We love the location, the views, the quirky style and comfort of this place.

I can't recall the listing mentioning that you can see the sea from the living room, which was a fantastic bonus.

The house is wonderfully located and had the perfect space for our group of 5. We absolutely loved our time there.

This was a last meeting booking and so glad we did!

We had never been to Pembrokeshire before and loved it. Primrose Cottage was just what we wanted. Good parking for at least two cars, with a really nice open plan room on the first floor with large windows and a great view down to Newgale Beach. The house was spotlessly clean and had all we needed for the holiday. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners who were finishing cleaning and they gave us some extra tips for the holiday. The walk to the beach was much shorter than we had thought when booked. The beach ( when the tide is out) is a beautiful sandy beach with surfing ( there is a surf shop for hire and lessons ) next to the pub. The Pembrokeshire coastal path is nearby and we walked along to the lovely fishing village of Solva (5 miles) A great trip and we will be back

Primrose Cottage was a delightful place to stay - in a fabulous location just five minutes walk from Newgale beach, absolutely clean and very well appointed, beautifully set up as a holiday home.

The owners, John and Sue were, as well as very welcoming, superbly organised with respect to the Covid arrangements, providing detailed instructions available on all the facilities inside the house and excellent information with respect to all aspects of the local area. We count ourselves very lucky to have found Primrose and Newgale, and to have had such an excellent holiday in summer 2020. Could not recommend more highly!

The accommodation and location were perfect for our requirements.

Everything was first class, the position looking out onto the sea, all that was needed for the stay was there, extremely comfortable and all the beds very good.

From the visitors book we could see that lots of folk had returned several times. ( expect we will too)

Primrose Cottage is fantastic, clean, comfortable with all the facilities and only 10 minutes stroll for the beach & Pub/Restaurant.

With wonderful views over the Bay and incredible sunsets over the coastal hills. The owners Sue & John are friendly, informative and have good communication skills. Sykes Holiday Cottages staff are extremely helpful and they make the booking nice and simple. Primrose Cottage & Sykes Holidays both get 5 star, well done to both.

TheSykes staff member readily offered to speak to the owners about our need for a Monday change over day because it was Easter and we were having a family reunion.

The request was immediately agreed. The property proved to be very suitable for a group of 6. An amazingly practical design. The freezer was an adequate size and there were two fridges, not sure if this is mentioned in the description of the property, The large windows mean that this is a very light property with excellant views of the surrounding country side,
