“We have stayed in this property a few times in the past 8yrs and although there has been no obvious changes and we noticed its looking a little tired it is still a comfortable apartment.”

Its a great location based in Tudor square with a wonderful sea view out the back. The stairway to the flat looks awful but dont let that put you off. It desperately needs a hand rail on the stairs so anyone with mobility issues will need help. We had a little issue with the heating this time but although I had to call them late afternoon on a Sunday the call was answered promptly and someone sent out to fix it immediately, I cant fault that. It desperately needs a hand rail on the stairs so anyone with mobility issues will need help. We had a little issue with the heating this time but although I had to call them late afternoon on a Sunday the call was answered promptly and someone sent out to fix it immediately, I cant fault that. The apartment was spotless on arrival and although we were left some milk and welsh cakes we would of appreciated toilet roll more but I think this was an over sight. We do stay in some beautiful places in Tenby, as we visit often, and wouldnt hesitate to stay in Gower View again.

The property

This welcoming first-floor apartment is located in the centre of Tenby, close to a number of popular shops, pubs and restaurants.

Gower View is a delightful Pembrokeshire base to stay for up to seven guests looking to access all that west Wales has to offer.

To enter your new home away from home, ascend a set of shared stairs to the first floor.

The kitchen/diner is to the right and a few steps down; it has a double cooker and oven, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a fridge/freezer, so you are well-equipped for rustling up your own dishes.

Set the dining table for a group feast, toasting to a long-awaited break with your nearest and dearest.

Head to the lounge to spend your down time, taking comfort on the sofas and chatting about your holiday itinerary.

Wash away the day in either the bathroom or shower room, before retreating to the bedrooms.

Choose the king-size room or twin and be rewarded with sea views in each, whilst an additional double and single makes it all a perfect choice for families with children.

Spend a sunny time on the golden sands of Tenby's North and South Beaches which at high tide, close off to offer Castle and Harbour Beaches as well!

Then treat the group to dinner at any of Tenby's numerous fine restaurants.

Tenby makes a fantastic holiday destination due to its attractions; history buffs will revel at being based within the old town walls in the medieval town with the Tudor Merchant's House just around the corner, off Tudor Square.

Hop in the car and head to Pembroke Castle, where that Tudor Dynasty was born, as the birthplace of King Henry VII.

Manorbier and Carew Castles are also within easy reach and for a stunning take on Pembrokeshire's coastline, visit St Govan's Chapel near Bosherston.

Walk along the Coast Path towards the Green Bridge of Wales or for a more challenging walk, head north into the Preseli Hills, the legendary home of the Stonehenge bluestone.

Keep the children happy with visits to nearby Folly Farm Adventure Park & Zoo, the Dinosaur Park, Manor Wildlife Park and Heatherton World of Activities.

If you’re seeking a spacious apartment in the heart of Tenby to explore Pembrokeshire, look no further than Gower View.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.

About the location

TENBY

Pembroke 11 miles; Carmarthen 26 miles.

The bustling seaside resort of Tenby, known within Wales as “The Jewel in the Crown", is majestically positioned on the spectacularly beautiful 'Welsh Riviera'. Tenby is part of the stunning 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast National Park where the water is warmed by the Gulf Stream and the county is one of the sunniest places in the UK. Enclosed by medieval walls, this beautiful town features a maze of cobbled streets, hosting an array of quirky shops, indoor locally-sourced food market, tea rooms and tempting restaurants. Almost three miles of stunning, Blue Flag-awarded beaches provide a variety of watersports, whilst walkers and cyclists can enjoy the local flora and fauna on the coastal paths, something the competitors of the world-renowned Tenby Iron-Man contest (held in mid-September) haven’t time for! A boat trip to Caldey Island is recommended to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the monastery and island scenery, and you can enjoy seal and puffin sightings en-route! Explore the magnificent Tudor Merchant's House, or visit the nearby resorts of Saundersfoot or Manobier. For teens and younger visitors, Oakwood Theme Park provides a brilliant, fun-filled day out whilst Folly Farm offers everything from old-fashioned fairground rides to animals both local and exotic!
