Very pleased with the accommodation, very well equipped.

Nice to have an enclosed garden for our dog. Excellent location with all amenities and beaches close by. Enjoyed our stay thank you.

Perfect location and very comfortable house

This is a lovely cottage with all that you need for a holiday.

We loved the position, close to the coastal path and also to the cathedral. We enjoyed having a large kitchen and the use of a tumble dryer. Would definitely return in the future.

Well another lovely week at Greenfields Third time for us the cottage is in in prime position for all amenities with the added bonus of parking.

Very comfortable, well equipped and perfectly situated cottage.

Parking right outside the door really helpful in St Davids. We enjoyed our holiday here very much.

A very comfortable holiday home, perfect for accessing the facilities offered in Tyddewi.

Also an excellent base for walking the Coast Path.

Comfortable, cosy and spacious . Especially good for our dog to have a completely safe garden. Hugely appreciated. Our only problem was with our inability to decipher the recycling system despite 100 percent joint effort. Our sense of failure was tangible!

Having travelled 7 hours for a wedding we were a little disappointed that we found an ironing board, but no iron.

Double bed is in desperate need of a new mattress, we could feel every spring. Other than that, a lovely place to stay. If in St Davids again, would definitely stay here again, providing mattress is replaced.

Greenfields is a very nice property, we had a great week there, it’s not often we have a kitchen that is as big as that.

The downstairs bathroom was handy too, my wife struggles to climb into a bath so she was able to use that shower. Nice views from the bedroom windows, could even see the sea from both bedrooms. Nice being able to park the car right outside, but we did have to move it once during the week for the window cleaner, but that wasn’t a problem as we went out several times. I wish the local council would empty the red bin a little more often, It was almost full when we left. They took the recycling but didn’t empty the food caddy. St David’s itself was nice. My wife and son are disabled, but they were able to visit the cathedral as I drove them through the archway and dropped them off at the entrance. The only thing St David’s really needs is a bank, as the car parks at the local beach and the lifeboat centre want cash. There is a cash point in the town, but cashpoints do not dispense coins, and the beach toilets charge 40p. Going on boat trips to Skomer and Ramsey isn’t easy either if you are disabled. There are fifty steps down to the lifeboat station where you get on the boat, with no hand railings. The boats themselves are ribs, which bounce off the waves, not great if you have any musculature or skeletal issues. However we did get to visit a lot of surrounding places, and it was our first visit to pembrokeshire

Great location, clean and comfortable.

Minor issues to sort, such as broken clothes rack, washing line being lost in overgrown bushes and hoover could be more effective for pet hair. However, the house is such a lovely home from home, none of these detract from it making a great holiday place to stay. We would thoroughly recommend.

Comfortable and clean holiday house.

Everything provided for self catering. Two outdoor areas to relax in. Would be better if some outdoor furniture in the larger garden area. Great area for dog to play in. Very close to centre of St David’s and all shops and eateries. Easy to get to beautiful headland walks and Cathedral.

Exquisitely decorated, comfortable, and very well equipped.

City people friendly, cathedral (went to services) outstanding. Pubs good. Only thing we struggled with was recycling - got it wrong so some didn’t get collected. Beaches and views outstanding. Would love to return.

Greenfields is very well equipped, and in a good position to explore St.

David's. It's close to the supermarket, and a couple of lovely pubs which serve lovely food. And a short drive away is Whitesands and Newgale which are worth a visit. We had a couple of minor problems which the owners dealt with promptly. Thank you.

Good location with parking for 2 cars.

Very comfortable, spacious and well-equipped property. Short walk to the cathedral, shops, pubs and restaurants. Easy travelling distance to Haverfordwest for bigger choice of shops. Minor point is that the Property Guide needs updating e.g. some of the local shops listed are no longer in business at St Davids. On arrival, we could not help but notice a musty, damp smell which we put down to the property not being is use the previous week. However, this persisted and we eventually discovered it was as a result of the drain outside the back door being heavily silted. Consequently water was only able to drain away very slowly. We reported this to the owner who was grateful for us having identified the source of the problem, saying that she would look into it. We had a great week at this property, We would recommend it and we hope to return.

Greenfields needs a thorough clean.

It was superficially clean but the wall tiles in kitchen were very grubby. Most of the windows had grime & mould in the gaps between the shutter inserts and window frames. Cobwebs on light fittings, extractor fan etc. Some dark stains on stair carpet. Also, some tatty or broken kitchen equipment - china teapot with no lid, burned saucepans, etc. Also, the area outside front door needs tidying up: uneven surfaces, cracked crumbling concrete with weeds growing through. Not very welcoming. It could be a lovely property but was let down by poor cleaning & maintenance.

We were glad to return to such a brilliantly located property.

Close to everything and very comfortable. Weather rather cold and windy, but good for walking and for 4 of the 6 days we got plenty of sunshine. May well be back again next time we want to come to Pembrokeshire.

I have to agree with a previous comment that the pics of this property do not do it justice!

It is a gem of a place, ideally situated close to the centre of St David’s with shops and pubs a stroll away. Head the other way and you’re on the coastal path in no time. It was our first visit to Pembrokeshire and we fell in love with it and we will be back. Greenfields offered a comfortable and homely place to discover the area. The accommodation had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay in St David’s. Many thanks to the owners

Had a fabulous week with friends at this cottage in St Davids.

To be honest, the pictures do not do the cottage justice, it was a pleasant surprise to find the camera does actually lie for the better! St Davids was also a lovely surprise find. Loads of places to visit, especially the beaches & coastline. A couple of great friendly pubs within walking distance (or staggering distance on the way back), they also both did great food. A great time had by all!

Really enjoyed our stay at Greenfields in this spacious bungalow.

There were two of us and our dog. The garden is genuinely enclosed so we could let the dog out without worry (she likes to explore when she gets the chance). An outdoor tap came in useful when it was time to wash her. Wimbledon week and the Euros so the SMART TV got good usage. Location is excellent, really close to the centre of St David's so within easy walking distance of the pubs etc.

A really lovely stay.

All facilities we needed were there, location great. Close to all that was available. Maybe just maybe ask the owner to have a word with next door neighbour to trim, or cut down the big tree just outside the lounge window.

Lovely property, clean and well maintained.

Great central location, close to pubs and Cathedral. Coastal path is 10 mins away. Needs clothing storage in main bedroom and grass needs cutting.

A quiet peaceful location close to all the amenities. An ideal location to explore the Pembrokeshire countryside.

We had a lovely relaxing week at Greenfields.

There is space for 2 cars (one behind the other) outside the front and the location is great - lots of shops, pubs, cafes/ restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. As we stayed here mid-March, the house would get cold quickly once the heating turned off so the bedrooms were cold at night - maybe consider some curtains for winter time? Obviously this won't be an issue during the summer. I had the twin room, comfy beds, and a double wardrobe with drawers underneath. My friend had the double room but there was no storage for her clothes. Maybe consider replacing the wicker chair for a tallboy and placing a hanging rail in the large built in cupboard? Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at Greenfields, a proper home from home. Yes the kitchen is 'outdated' but it's in full working order, in good condition, very clean and well equipped (we did some cooking while there). I only gave 3 out of 4 faces due to being cold at night and the lack of storage in the double room. We loved everything else - very comfy sofas in the lounge! - and looked forward to returning there after our days out. It's clearly has been a much loved family home and we like that vibe.

Hi Our stay at Greenfields was excellent but it needs a little TLC now ie kitchen upgrade - attention to cleaning around the windows and floors - better explanation on recycling as the info in the white book is different than what is supplied red bag - blue bag ( no orange etc) drive could do with a new covering other than that we enjoyed our stay

Well positioned house but everything a little tired and not working correctly.

Cooker fan extremely noisy. TV intermittent picture. Windows filthy. In need of love and attention.

What a disappointment!

The old fashioned concrete driveway is cracked and full of weeds, the narrow concrete pathway that runs around the house has subsided away from the property and paint is flaking on the window sills-house needs repainting. The seal in 2 of the windows have failed and have condensation. The glazing in back door is full of condensation, you can't see through it. The double bed and the pillows are rock hard. I could go on but I doubt it would encourage the owners make any improvements. We definitely will not be back to Greenfields-no name on the house either.

Very comfortable and well appointed property - in a superb location, with easy walks to the coastline and a few minutes stroll into the city centre.

Off road parking and small garden are a bonus.

We enjoyed out stay but felt it could have been a bit more maintained and cleaner .

Clean. Quiet. So convenient for town and cathedral, (cut through next to Farmers Arms) and coastal path was so easy to access. Nice distant views. Locals/neighbours friendly. Two good showers. Upstairs bathroom lovely. Comfy sofas. Couldn’t work out TV v well, but got freeview after a while, and I could sign in to Netflix. (Didn’t spoil it for us, and in the nicest possible way I would say - a name /number on the property would be good, oven needs attention, rattles very loud, beds not too bad but mattress toppers would be a benefit for extra comfort. Also, I think the instructions are a little out of date as nothing on fridge re: rubbish collections, more coasters would be handy and kitchen scissors - (I tried my best but it appears the bin was not collected on Thurs despite me putting it next to the road on Wednesday eve) ) Just a suggestion but I think guests might pay a little extra for a local welcome pack on arrival ! (Bread , tea, coffee milk biscuits etc) Advice for guests: google earth it, I couldn’t see a number or name on the property, in saying that it was obvious if you look at the picture on Sykes and keenly look out for it , also although there were a few bits in the cupboards ie. salt/pepper/tea bags/ bin bags/ some cleaning stuff, you do really need to take all provisions if you want a cuppa on arrival eg. coffee, milk, etc. Overall, I would absolutely recommend and stay again if in the area, I thought it was reasonable price for the facilities, and time of year. Thank you.

We loved the location of Greenfields.

Turn left out of the driveway and you are just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of St Davids, with its pubs, shops, and of course the cathedral. Alternatively, turn right and a footpath at the end of the road takes you straight to the coastal path in about 10 minutes. From there you can walk to Caerfai or Porthclais and either return or continue further around the Pembrokeshire coast. The cottage itself had everything we needed, and although there was just the two of us, I think it would be perfect for a small family. Our favourite walk with lovely views was from Porthgain, 7 miles away on the north coast (free parking), to Abereiddy (either there and back along the coast, or returning via an inland route across the hilltop farm). St Davids head is also great if you want to see the welsh ponies grazing there. We found the pubs in St Davids to all be very similar (All Marstons pubs with pretty much identical menus), and a bit average, but we thought The Bishop was probably the best. Going further afield, both The Sloop Inn and The Shed at Porthgain were good, and The Castle in Newport was excellent.

When things were wrong texts were answered right away and workmen were sent the next day to mend lights and taps etc

We had a wonderful week at Greenfields, perfect location, very comfortable house, the only thing that let it down was the dreadful reception on the TV.

It was often so pixellated we couldn't watch it at all, luckily we were not there to spend our entire holiday watching TV but seeing the news would have been nice !

The property was really comfortable and the facilities provided were great.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was close to the coast path and countryside and the town so a really good choice of location for us. A couple of niggles, which by no means spoiled our stay. We could only find one very small pair of scissors. We could only find 4 washing line pegs (we prefer not to use a dryer). The power to the garage was turned off at the fuse box, so we had to work this out before using the dryer. We weren't sure if we had to strip all of the beds even if we hadn't used them, so we did, just in case. Other than that all good.

This is our 2nd year at Greenfields and again so very enjoyable short of nothing very close to shops and pubs food at the farmers Inn was superb and dog friendly The enclosed garden was great for our little Ruby only thing as others have said the recycling is a bit confusing found it easier just to the it home But never put a downer on the holiday We will be back Thanks for a lovely holiday Terry Janette and Ruby

The property was like home from home - very comfortable and homely.

A clean, comfortable property in an ideal location for pubs, restaurants, shops and the stunning cathedral.

Just a few slightly negative observations: 1) Sykes say the property is clearly marked - it isn't. There is no name plate or number and both ourselves and Morrison's delivery driver had difficulty in finding it. 2) The recycling instructions need to be clearly set out in a readable fashion. There are no grey sacks for non-recyclable waste and no green crate for bottles. 3) The cleaners arrived almost 20 minutes early - around 10:10am, when the leaving time was stated as 10:30am. They were under the impression we had to be out for 10am and we're fine about us not being quite ready but the correct time needs communicating to everyone concerned. 4) For dog owners, it's worth pointing out that whilst the garden may be secure for medium sized dogs, small dogs (particularly terriers!) will find a way out through a gap underneath the fence - as we discovered! Fortunately, the neighbours were very understanding. Overall, a pleasant stay and if we ever return to the area, we would have no qualms about staying here again.

Greenfields is an excellent holiday property.

It is spacious and comfortable and has everything we needed. It is in a great location (with its own parking) for access to St Davids centre and the walks on the Pembrokeshire coast

Good location for the city centre and direct access to walks in the beautiful national park from the house.

Good quality bed linen and towels, spotlessly clean everywhere, comfortable beds, sitting room very nice. No views from downstairs rooms was a minor drawback,

As the sampler, hanging in the hall, states Greenfields is ‘a house of peace and rest’ and we would add very comfy, well-equipped with tasteful decor.

Excellent location for Cathedral and Palace and National Trust shop, in New Street, provides walks for the nearby Pembroke Coastal Path. Sunday lunch at The Bishops is a must but needs to be booked. A delightful cottage in a delightful area.

We had a loverly time in St Davids and our accommodation was excellent

Great location.

Lovely home. Very clean and tidy. The beds were soooooo comfortable. Only bit confusing was the refuse and recycling process. Think the in-house information contradicted itself. However, hope we worked it out sufficiently. Would highly recommend this property. A home from home.

I was comfortable and had all I needed for my stay.

Ideal for both the city and the coast. I got a lot of writing done, and walked every day. Perfect.

The kitchen could do with more baking and oven cooking dishes.

Also the recycling explanation and recycling colour bins did not match. No sockets by dressing table. Not much hanging or draw space in bedrooms. Lighting in kitchen very poor. Room’s got very cold when heating went off and in the morning before heating came on. Curtains would be a nice feature upstairs and keep the rooms warm. Freezer needed defrosting. Oven door was broken, which should/would have been noticed by the cleaners, but we found it broken on our arrival, I needed to phone the owner who was very good and replaced it on the day we arrived but it should never have been left broken (especially knowing we would need to use it over the Christmas period), if we hadn’t of checked it on arrival our Christmas would have been ruined. It was a lovely bungalow and in a perfect position with parking but just needs updating a bit and the addition of a few extra touches.

Nice house, some small points, heating control was hit or miss, If you put on the gas fire you became too hot, but other rooms did not reach a "comfortable" setting.

Cooker and microwave also a bit to complicated. No black bin on the property ? Did put general waste in a bag then in a spare green box and it was taken, so not an issue. Parking was good except a car parked opposite most of the time, which made reversing out "interesting". Clean and tidy with surprisingly plenty of room, two side gardens were good, but the weather stopped us using them to their best.

The owners have obviously had couple of windows replaced.

1st - Lounge window....debris on floor behind settee. Comment on this made by others who stayed months ago. 2nd - Garage which housed tumble dryer. It was like a tip! Once I found a brush, I had to sweep away builders rubble left in the area around the tumble dryer. Then, discovered tumble dryer water collection draw had not been emptied, as water spilling out of it. Also, filter not cleaned for a very long time. Does the owner or anyone else thoroughly check the property? I don’t think so. This was our second stay at Greenfields, in-fact we were the first to rent the property and we had to leave the owner a list of issues, especially the washing machine not operation properly. Admittedly, several of our earlier issues have been addressed including a replacement w/machine but there’s still personal mail in kitchen draw and the bedroom windows are issues. We will not be staying at Greenfields again!

The house is very central which is good.

I felt it was not especially child friendly. There were no plastic drinking beakers for the outside. I felt small bins in the bedrooms would have been useful too, also a brush and shovel.

We appreciated the wonderful position of the cottage, close to the cathedral and Bishop's Palace, but also to the Cross and the shops.

Ideal for evening walks to St Nons, down mainly by road and back mainly by paths. We really liked the outdoor table and chairs. A perfect spot for exploring Pembrokeshire, a county we have loved for many years

Lovely place to stay unfortunately I need to find a new property for next year on the Marloes peninsula or I would go back next year.

Some oven baking trays would avoid having to us the grill pan everytime. The rubbish collection routine could be clearer.

Lovely cottage

The bad weather caused a leakage through the lounge window overnight.

Floor, window sill and rug were wet.

Very comfortable and spacious accommodation with all the necessary essentials like wifi.

Well fenced-off gardens - ideal if you have a dog.

I think that it would be worthwhile putting in the property description that it's a 20 min walk to the sea and coast path.

I hadn't appreciated how accessible the coastline was.
