In my opinion, the cottage itself and outside area is in need of a refresh to give it the wow factor on arrival.
The cottage inside is very clean and tidy and very comfortable. The decor is very good with some nice touches.
The shower cubicle could do with some grouting and the oven could probably do with a spring clean inside. Also, the light above the kitchen table needs fixing.
The two settees could do with replacing as they are a bit worn now, although they were very comfortable .
Also, a slightly larger tv would be nice.
First impression on arrival is that the outside of the cottage itself could do with a whitewash and the woodwork could do with staining.
The light on the wall by the patio also needs completing so you can sit out at night and see the sunsets.
The outside area of the cottage looks as though it has been a little neglected over time and It could do with a good tidy up around the side of the building and a make a covered area for the recycling bins etc.
The planters outside the front door were tired and needed weeding and replaced with some nice flowers and the patio area itself needs a good weeding in between the slabs and maybe a jet wash. Some nice pots placed around the patio would also look nice.
A nice bbq for bbq lovers in the corner of the patio would be nice to replace the previous one which is not there anymore.
The current garden bench on the lawn needs replacing as it is broken although it is placed in a nice spot and the cast iron garden chair could also do with painting. A couple of garden relaxers would also be a nice touch for those lazy days enjoying the view.
From a health and safety point of view, a rail down the steep steps to the lawn would be a benefit.
If you want to pull out all the stops, have you thought about a hot tub after those walks on the coastal path?
With these things put in place, the rating would easily be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
