We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage.

It was very clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed and more! The cottage stayed wonderfully cool in the heatwave which was such a blessing when the temperature outside was above 30 degrees! It's in a quiet, peaceful area so perfect for a relaxing holiday. We'll definitely return. Thank you

Lovely Cottage in a very quiet village.

Kitchen was well equipped,beds comfy and dog friendly with an enclosed garden. Some excellent walks straight out of the door. All you can hear is birds and farm animals. It's a very relaxing place to visit. Thank you for a memorable holiday

Fabulous cottage, everything you need and more- there’s even an Alexa which is something I always miss when I’m away!

The beds were warm and cosy, the only noise was from the little brook running alongside the garden. Although the gardens are small each had a lovely little seating area. The whole place really feels like a home from home and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

It was so well equipped the best I've ever seen,the owners have thought of everything. Very cosy and comfortable., loved to listen to the little stream passing by the side of the cottage. Would definitely stay again.

This is a remote area, but that lead to a relaxing holiday as we spent quite a lot of time at the cottage.

The property was lovely and nice, but unfortunately the cleanliness was a huge disappointment, Glass in the kitchen on the floor, Dirt behind all the bedside cabinets where we plugged our leads into, Dirt under the settees and between the cushions, floors were dirty that after a few minutes walking on them my feet where black at the bottom, So I had to mop the kitchen and Wooden floors.

Tray storage are and trays were dirty,fire place area was dirty and cushion needed hoovering, The cleaner came at 9.55 and for the fact the next family are not allowed in till 4pm, Gives them plenty of time to give the house a very good clean.

Myself and my family had the best Christmas in your cottage. We had everything we needed and couldn’t ask for anymore, the location was perfect and we loved the little stream just outside of the garden.

Beautiful cottage bit far from most places, but we still had a wonderful time.

Beds really comfortable as was the sofas, everything we wanted and more, miss the shower.

We absolutely loved the cottage and the surrounding area.

I have never stayed at a cottage that had everything and more - the owners have really put a lot of thought and love into their cottage . The kitchen was so well equipped and I enjoy cooking so this was a dream come true. We visited so many interesting places - castles , Iron Age fort , wool museum, wildlife centres and the nearby beaches. We had three generations holidaying in the cottage and we all wished we could have stayed for another week

Apart from the beautiful location of the cottage I was hugely impressed by how well equipped it was.

Everything was catered for and the buckets and spades (which we had forgot) just exemplified this. Nice touch to call and check up on us also.

A proper cottage.

A lovely Welsh cottage with loads of age & character but all the modern facilities you could want. Really clean & comfortable. The garden is so lovely too with the cliff on one side & a mountain stream flowing past on the other. The owners were available on the phone & so friendly & helpful. A great base to explore the beautiful beaches & countryside in Pembrokeshire. My only caution would be it's quite remote with narrow country lanes, if you're a very nervous driver, certainly don't trust the sat nav, if you turn into a lane with grass down the middle choose a different route!!

We had a lovely week staying at your beautiful home.

It was a really cosy and comforting space to be for me, my partner and young son, and a perfectly situated base from which to tour. Not only did we love the house, but we loved the little village where the house is. Pembrokeshire on the whole, blew us away. I had never been to that part of the world before in my 58 years on the planet. We all thought we had landed on a little piece of heaven. Of course, the great weather we had virtually all week, made a big difference.

This cottage had everything we needed.

It was spotless and clearly a home from home. Everything in this property is of a high specification and good quality from the fixtures/fittings and furnishings down to the cutlery. Sharp knives were a bonus! The King size bed was really comfortable, the upstairs bathroom was a treat to relax in and the downstairs bathroom of an equally high standard. The welcome pack was excellent and the wine and dog treats were much appreciated. The enclosed garden was ideal for my dog and there was a woodland walk at the top of the road as well as many footpaths and bridleways in the area. There are also some lovely beaches that dogs are welcome to have a run on. Lucy and Bob, (the owners) were extremely attentive, receptive and excellent communicators. What a beautiful cottage in a beautiful place peace and quiet if you want it but not far away from life if you don't it's everything a cottage should be cosy with a lovely warm open fire and a little stream trickling by great owners too as I found out when I locked myself out but was sorted within minutes I would 100% recommend this cottage

The property was everything you could possibly have hoped for.

A lovely 3 bedroom cottage that happily accommodated the family (three couples plus a 5 year old and a dog!), which had been beautifully decorated for Christmas which was the finishing touch. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need and the two sitting rooms provide ample space to chill out in front of the fire or tv. The dining table made a perfect setting for our family Christmas dinner, which was topped off by gifts for my nephew, the dog and the family. With a babbling stream just outside, the courtyard makes a perfect location to sit and relax! The village is quaint but provides easy access to nearby Cardigan whilst allowing you to get away from it all. Wouldn't hesitate visiting again and Lucy and Bob did everything to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. 10/10 would recommend for a getaway.

Great place to stay.

Lovely cottage. Felt more like a well loved home than an empty formulaic holiday let. Lovely and warm with the option of a fire in the wood burner. Kitchen very well equipped, you could even bake a cake if you wanted to as mixer and cake tins are provided. Lovely powerful shower and plenty of hot water on tap. Some low ceilings but you very quickly get used to those or put those that don't in another room! Easy to find and plenty of amazing walks nearby. Also not too far from the coast and we would recommend the beaches at Aberporth for a swim, even in November. I’m sure there are lots of other amazing beaches nearby but we ran out of time to explore more options. Would recommend this cottage for anyone who wants a lovely break in this gorgeous part of Wales.

The cottage is located in a tiny village which is nicely secluded (But not to the extent that you feel cut off).

The area is beautiful and wonderful to explore. Some beautiful woodlands to explore just a short drive away, and the beaches around cardigan are excellent especially for dogs. The cottage is very quaint, very warm and inviting with more equipment than you are ever likely to need. This is the first time we have done a holiday cottage and we were very happy with the experience.

Really well equipped cottage with everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable furniture and beds as well as a store cupboard and welcome goods, even dog treats!! In a quiet peaceful hamlet and perfectly located to get to the beaches and towns. A real home from home.

We really enjoyed our stay in the peaceful little village of Star.

The cottage was very comfortable and had everything that we needed and more! We came home feeling relaxed and with our batteries recharged, the weather was absolutely stunning which was a welcome surprise.

We stayed a star mill cottage in July returned for 2 weeks in January will be staying again in the future lovely cottage lovely and warm everything you require for a superb holiday bob and Lucy on hand for any problems and there wasn’t any highly recommend people to book thanks again bob & lucy x

'this is a most beautiful cottage.

Furniture and appliances were first class. The owners were most helpful when we encountered some problems. Like no heater as my husband had fiddled with the thermostat... We found the location a bit remote as we are a bit older and found travelling the one lane roads difficult at night. But as I said the cottage is one of the nicest we have stayed at.

Highly recommend on all aspects.

Quiet, peaceful & extremely comfortable cottage. Has everything you need. Felt like being at home. Chatted with Lucy and Bob and it was like talking to old friends and their cottage reflects their care and personalities. Wine, milk and chocolate much appreciated.

Star Mill Cottage is absolutely beautiful, well appointed, very comfortable and quiet.

Our dogs loved the big open ground floor, many walks nearby and the treats that were kindly left for them. We couldn't have asked for any more. Thanks for a wonderful family stay!!

The cottage was lovely with everything you could possibly need - a lovely, well eqipped kitchen.

We usually stay in a caravan so was a luxury to have a washing machine & dishwasher. Also, having a shower room with a great shower as well as a bathroom meant no one had to wait! The beds were comfy & we all slept well. There were instructions for everything & most things were easy to work out. We are familiar with the surrounding area but had never been to Star before. I loved being able to buy fresh eggs locally. I enjoyed sitting in the garden every morning listening to the stream which was very relaxing & we were lucky enough with the weather all week to be able to do that. If you want peace & quiet, this is the place!

The cottage was lovely and most of the facilities were impressive.

However, the wi-fi was almost non-existent and none of our party (5) could make or receive phone calls on our mobiles. Even walking up the hill a couple of hundred yards did not produce a network connection. We were from three different households, all with children and grandchildren whom we like to stay in contact with, but this was not possible once we returned to the cottage each evening. One of our group, who is self-employed, left 2 days earlier than planned because he was out of reach of his customers for long periods. He texted my sister at 9pm to let her know that he arrived home safely, but this was not received until over 2 hours later by her. She could not phone him, as no network. Planning day trips without a signal for GPS was problematic and we had to drive a mile up the road before we could do this. I think we should have been informed that the wi-fi was very sporadic and phone network would be lost, particularly given the price that we paid. Also, the cottage, although lovely, was very dark and the very small patio areas did not get any evening sunshine, which was a shame, as it would have been nice to have had the option to dine outside, as you do when on holiday and the weather is beautiful.

The cottage was perfect for us, the owners contacted us to check everything was ok and we felt very welcome.

It was a perfect location as a base for trips out all across the region.

Star Mill cottage is a lovely place to stay for exploring west Wales.

We were me and my wife in the open plan bedroom, 2 children in the twin room and my Dad in the double bedroom. The facilities were great, with us finding things around the cottage every day that we didn't think we needed e.g. Ice blocks in the freezer, cool boxes, body boards for the kids, beach parasol, catchup TV, blue ray player, dvd's, books, OS maps, washing powder, tea, coffee, cling film, tupawere. Thank you to Bob And Lucy, a really well thought out holiday property that you obviously care about and want others to enjoy as much as you do.

Having read the rave reviews we were disappointed, cottage is extremely dark , densely populated with furniture ( eg.

abundance of seating considering it is only for six people maximum) Main bedroom lacks privacy if more than 2 adults staying we did not have issue with this as there was only 2 of us. Bed extremely uncomfortable and overcrowded with furniture. The upstairs toilet facilities make it difficult for a male to address due to sloping ceiling and beams. Parking for a larger car is difficult. On the positive side the down stairs shower room was very good and kitchen well equipped. The location is good.

We loved this cottage - it was cosy and comfortable and gave us a great base to explore the surrounding area from.

Facilities all top-notch, well-equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, comfortable beds and loads of games, DVDs, books etc. Fast internet connection was v. much appreciated given the lack of mobile signal in the area! overall, would highly recommend Star Mill Cottage.

Lovely clean and comfortable cottage in a quiet hamlet but near to pubs and beaches.

So restful sitting next to the stream listening to all the birds. The owners' kindly provided a starter pack of milk, fresh eggs, brownies, wine and doggie treats. There was also a well equipped kitchen with tea, coffee and sugar to start the stay off. One of the houses had an honesty box where you could buy a box of half dozen fresh eggs for a £1 and they were the best eggs ever had for breakfast. The shower was brilliant and the bath was a real decadent experience, due to the high water pressure a little bit of bubble bath went a long way, only thing I didn't think of was a glass of bubbly! Won't forget next time. It was a lovely touch that the owner's rang on the Sat to check if everything was okay. As they had left full instructions on how everything worked luckily I didn't need to bother them. Would certainly go back and would highly recommend if you want a nice peaceful place to stay but near to everything you need to enjoy the holiday.

Everything was perfect!

The cottage was beautiful very well appointed and extremely comfortable. We loved exploring the local area and found lots to do. I can highly recommend the Ferry Inn at St Dogmeals as the food was very good and they welcomed dogs. The little touches left by the owners of the cottage were very much appreciated we had wine and chocolates and treats for our dog. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage. Thank you

Star Mill Cottage was perfect for our needs.

It was clean and comfortable and had every facility that we needed. All the family thoroughly enjoyed he stay and we were sad to leave at the end of our stay. Given the opportunity we would definitely return to this cottage which is set in a fabulous location.

Our holiday was hassle free.

The owners called before we set off just in case we had any questions. We spent Christmas with our 3 children, again the owner called to find out names and ages and on our arrival there were 3 presents under the tree as well as a bottle of bubbly, some lovely biscuits and Christmas crackers. We have had the best time and have made some lovely memories. Huge thanks to all

Comfortable, extremely well equipped cottage.

cottage was very nice ,But unfortunately we only had 4 days out of our seven booked due to a family bereavement.

We had a lovely time at the cottage, and although it was a little off the beaten track, once we became orientated it was quite easy to visit lots of places.

The cottage itself was extremely well equipped having 2 bathrooms, one with a shower. It was very spacious but quaint and had every utensil one would want or need. The mezzanien-type master bedroom did not give much privacy to the occupants, but it is probably to be expected in such old properties. The response to a small problem we had with setting up the television was instant and greatly appreciated. The local people were great and, overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
