Lovely peaceful location, lovely cosy cottage well equipped, with dog secure front area and fantastic private garden.

The owners are also friendly and we will definitely be booking again

We absolutely loved our stay at Pendre Cottage and completely fell in love with Wales and the surrounding area!

The cottage was the perfect base for exploring and provided a wonderful and cosy home from home for our family of four. It was quiet, peaceful and very clean and tidy, with great cooking facilities and comfy beds. We couldn’t recommend it enough and hope to return again soon!

We stayed at Pendre Cottage from 10th–13th October 2025.

Our group consisted of three adults and two dogs from two households. Since our return, both dogs were found to have severe flea infestations. No other dogs from either household had fleas before our visit. I contacted the letting agent, who spoke with the owner, but the owner denied that the fleas were caught during our stay. We asked for compensation to help with vet bills, which was refused. While I cannot confirm with certainty that the fleas were contracted at the cottage, I feel future visitors should be aware of our experience and the owner’s response. Apart from the flea situation, we enjoyed our stay in the cottage, which is in a very tranquil location.

Not very clean in places .

.outside the French doors in lounge the astro turf hasn't been cleaned and it was very smelly even with the door closed you could still smell it in the room ...the dishwasher smelt foisty ...unfortunately we will not want to stay here again

A cosy comfortable and clean cottage set in a beautiful location ideally located for visiting areas of interest.

The cottage has much character and is fitted with all modern facilities. We chilled most evenings in the garden with a glass of wine in the evening sun. Rob and Angie, our hosts were friendly and welcoming and close by should they be needed. A place to relax and enjoy the countryside.

We had a lovely stay.

Owners were very welcoming. We had a power cut due to storm darragh and Angela came over with some lights and a battery radio which was very thoughtful. The cottage was very clean and well thoughtout and looked after. The garden is quite large and very secure for dogs and children. Will definitely book here again. Thank you.

Immaculate little cottage, spotless inside which is really nice given that it's a dog friendly property.

A real home from home. Rob and Angie were amazing , friendly and kind nothing was to much trouble. We wanted for nothing. Lots to do and see not far from the cottage location. A nice place in Cenarth for a Sunday roast. Nice walks. And a drive to Newquay for a day out then return to relax in this beautiful cottage. One good sign of a great holiday is not wanting to leave. And we didn’t. So thank you Angie and Rob for making our stay so special.

Property owners were lovely friendly people always willing to have a chat , the property itself was a very pretty inviting warm and cosy cottage ,and very clean , we loved it , and would certainly re book again if we were to go back to wales .

Really dog friendly, nice safe enclosed sitting area outside and my dog loved the garden area just across the road with fantastic seating area. A real home from home. Looking forward to returning.

Lovely cottage to stay in with great features like the beams.

Dishwasher was added bonus, as was the beds made up and towels provided. Slightly disappointed with the garden being over the road, although I should have read the reviews! One suggestion would be for a stair gate, to allow the front door to be open and dogs to stay in, ours aren't as well behaved as the resident dogs! Also to stop then going upstairs, also would work with small children. Over all a lovely stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. August 2024

First of all we would like to thank Rob & Angie who was fantastic hosts The cottage was amazing very old and sublime very clean with all the mod cons that you would ever need.

The cottage has a wonderful garden where you can sit and all you hear is birds in one ear and the sound off running water in the other from the river and when you look up on a clear night all you see is Stars we loved our stay and was sorry to leave a big thank again Rob & Angie for making our time with you so wonderful Gary Linda & Aflie the Dog

I stayed here for my 50th with my dad and my brother on the 2nd of April till the 6th of April.

It was a warm and cosy cottage with all the amenities needed, The owners Rob and Angela are the most welcoming people ive met, who go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The cottage is in a spot where you get your privacy plus it is in my opinion close to local towns, walks, attractions etc. We will definately be booking again to stay here. 5***** to the owners. A beautiful cottage with helpful, friendly owners.

As far as the cottage is concerned, you can’t fault it. Sadly though the garden is not attached to the cottage itself and can only be reached by crossing the road down a fairly steep slope. I have mobility problems and ratbags for dogs so didn’t get to try it. It looked lovely though, and the owner said I could use a more accessible field for the dogs which was very kind. The only reason I’ve given only three stars is the lack of phone signal (there is nothing on any network at all) and the WiFi averaged 2mbs. Since this was supposed to be a working holiday that caused a major problem. It’s not something the owners can do anything about but it really needs to be made clear that for all intents and purposes there’s no WiFi. I asked both the owner and Sykes about this and was told the WiFi was fine. It really isn’t. If you want to get away from it all I thoroughly recommend but if you need to be connected it’s no good. Despite the lack of internet almost costing me my job, it’s a lovely cottage in a beautiful area so for an escape from the world it would be perfect.

We had a lovely short break in this cottage which was warm and comfortable.

As advertised, it did have lots of low ceilings but, for us, that added to its character. The owners were friendly and hospitable in an unobtrusive manner. Thank you.

Lovely cottage in a lovely quiet location.

Owner very welcoming. Cottage has everything you need for a home from home stay and benefits from being in half hour drive to many attraction.

We had a great time at this cozy cottage where we stayed for few nights with our two daughters and two dogs.

The owners were very friendly. Also area is beautiful and peaceful so you can’t really wish for more.

Just returned from our 3rd visit in one of Rob and Angies cottages.

Really enjoyed the ones we have stayed in - the hen pen and pendre. Loved the new garden and our chats. The weather was brilliant for us and we enjoyed plenty of touring in this lovely part of Wales. So helpful, as when the washing machine broke it was replaced almost immediately and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks again all of you and hope to see you again soon.

Our hosts were great and we all had a fantastic time. We will be back!

Lovely and clean and all the comforts of home apart from there not being a clothes horse we washed clothing and it rained so a little longer to dry on coat hangers (not a biggy) A 13 minute drive to local amenities in cenarth by the river teifi.

.A lovely bespoke decking area across the lane with a large grassed area for your dogs.Good WiFi, lovely shower (watch your head) there is plenty of warning but I still managed to bang mine! If you want tranquil this is the place for you. Thankyou " pendre cottage".

Loved the new garden and the new garden furniture.

We have had a lovely week at Pendre Cottage, it helped that the weather was warm and sunny and we enjoyed sitting in the new garden and covered decking across the road.

The facilities in the cottage were just right for us, we don't have a dishwasher at home so this was a real treat on our holiday. The location was great for exploring that part of Wales, with plenty of interesting places within a few miles.

The Cottage was wonderfully characterful & unique.

A bit of a challenge for those above average height but that is also part of the Pendre experience. The owners were particularly caring and helpful.

The owners could not have been more helpful. The ceilings and lower beams are seriously low throughout the property so you need to remember to duck.

We didn’t realise how long it took to drive anywhere due to the country roads, but that was our fault for not doing our homework. Would definitely recommend it was so peaceful and restful.

what a lovely stay, weather a bit hit and miss, as the cottage is in such a central location everywhere is in a 10- 20-mile radius, cardigan ,Cenarth , Carmarthen, Newport, Newcastle Emlynn, and so on ,not a problem .

Super conversion of a small farm building and quiet location for me with plenty of room for the family.

4 miles from the market town of Crymych and great to explore the Presceli Hills and the West Wales coast .
