The property

Hillcrest is a pleasant end of terrace holiday home positioned on the desirable Gower Peninsula in south west Wales.

Nestled amongst the rolling countryside whilst framing far-reaching views of the nearby coastline, Hillcrest is an idyllic base to enjoy a rural retreat.

Upon entering, kick off your shoes in the porchway before proceeding to the enticing sitting area where you can look forward to putting your feet up to enjoy a moment of peace in front of the television.

Ample cooking facilities including an electric oven and hob, as well as a handy washing machine for those sandy holiday outfits, can be found in the kitchen, with the nearby dining room providing a sociable spot to gather together with your loved ones.

On sunny days, venture outdoors to enjoy a bottle of wine and the tranquility of your home-away-from-home.

To relax and unwind after a long day of visiting the coast and country, take a blissful soak in the bath before climbing the stairs to snuggle up in one of the three bedrooms, one double and two single rooms (one of which has a small double bed).

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the golden sands of Oxwich Bay beach, or for the more adventurous, take to the seas with professional instruction available in jet skiing or kayaking.

Visit the beautiful Beach House Restaurant after working up an appetite, or stop at Oxwich Beach Café for excellent fish and chips while taking a stroll down the coast.

Take a trip across the Gower AONB's varied landscapes, with its trees, quiet beaches and historical treasures waiting to be discovered.

Take a picturesque journey to Mumbles, home to a Grade II listed Victorian pier, a 1794 lighthouse, and the majestic remnants of Oystermouth Castle.

Oxwich Bay is a picturesque village, home to one of the most popular beaches on the beautiful Gower Peninsula, renonwed as a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s curving sandy beach is backed by sand dunes and leads you to the spectacular Three Cliffs Bay. Beyond the sand dunes you’ll find lagoons where you can spot swans, herons and other water birds. Oxwich Castle has a long history and sits close to the medieval St Illtyd’s Church which has origins going back to the 6th century.
Back at the beach, you can enjoy a range of watersport activities for hire and beachside kiosks offering snacks and ice-cream.
If you want to venture further afield, nearby Port Eynon is another fine bay. Situated on the Wales coastal path, it also has two fish and chip shops and a gift shop at the sea front, a Youth Hostel, pub, coffee shop and a restaurant.
