Hideaway House at The Hideaway

We make the trip to Tenby most summers, but with a large family group ranging from a 3-year-old to an 85-year-old (8 adults, 2 teens, and a toddler!

), finding a property that truly accommodates us all has historically been a challenge. This place was an absolute gem! ​The space in this house is incredible. The living area is fantastic and gave everyone their own room to relax without ever feeling on top of each other. It was super clean, in a brilliant location, and the kitchen was amazingly well-stocked with everything you could possibly wish for. The hosts were also wonderfully accommodating, even allowing us to park a bit earlier than our check-in time. ​Communication throughout was outstanding. When an issue popped up during our week-long stay in July, the host was remarkably responsive, helpful, and handled it brilliantly. We really appreciated how easy to reach and supportive they were. As constructive feedback, I know other reviews mentioned not having a downstairs toilet, and I would agree that this would definitely add something to the property. We managed without it, but it would have increased the overall comfort. Additionally, a couple of the mattresses felt a bit lumpy and could potentially do with being replaced in the future. ​Overall, we had a marvellous time and enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked again for next year. We would highly recommend booking!

Stay… 10-17 July ‘26 We had the most wonderful time at the amazing hideaway house.

Ideally situated, from maps it looks like a lengthy walk to the sea front, it isn’t, the distance on paper/screen is deceptive. We pulled our cart easily and quickly, followed along by our small family members (aged 3 4 5 9 & 10) The property is vast, ideal for a multigenerational family. We enjoyed watching the World Cup in the massive comfortable lounge together. Theres a cute playroom with games provided, a nice little sunny courtyard and enormous kitchen diner. Highly recommended, we had the best weather and best owner, Gareth was a fabulous communicative, helpful host, he guided us on the way down from the midlands and prepared a lovely welcome yummy treat for our arrival. There are no negatives. A comfortable, clean, happy place to stay with the wow factor.

Absolutely brilliant property with a few extra touches.

Plenty of room for a large group of ladies celebrating a birthday. The owners were extremely accommodating, replying to any and all questions.

The house is beautiful, plenty of parking outside, 5 bedrooms split over 2 of the 3 floors, some with and some without ensuite bathrooms. Excellent kitchen facilities with all the basic kitchen essentials provided. Fantastic location, literally a 5 minute walk into Tenby town centre. Great communication from the hosts about access and facilities. The only criticism (constructive) we had was that a bathroom on the ground floor level would be very handy and we thought the addition of maybe a google or alexa speaker would be good for future guests. Overall, we loved the house. It was exactly as described and shown on the website and immaculately clean from top to bottom. We enjoyed being there so much that we plan on booking to go there again next year.

Stayed with a group of ladies at your beautiful house.

The host allowed us to drop our bags off before check in so we could explore beautiful Tenby. Cake, tea and coffee on arrival. Great kitchen facilities. Beds were super comfy and the house nice and warm. Would benefit from a downstairs toilet. Had a fabulous stay and have already booked again for next year. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay at Hideaway house it was clean and plenty of room for our big family get together beds where very comfortable and the Grandchildren enjoyed the play room a down stairs toilet would have been very useful however the property was central to the Town Before we left the property we went on line to rebook for this year 2025 but unfortunately it's all ready been booked

A Hidden gem We had the best time the house was perfect for a large family and littles ones only thing I can suggest is plastic table wear for kids But the house was spotless owners were lovely and lovely large living room for us all and dining room was perfect for our Christmas dinner We could walk into Tenby and spent the day at the beach when the sun was shining we can’t wait to book again for next year

Position was great with only a short walk into town. Plenty of parking. Very spacious inside. Would highly recommend.

We loved this property.

It was plenty big enough for our large family and were able to celebrate three birthdays during our time there. We enjoyed the bara bryth cake which was left for us too, thank you. There was plenty of sitting areas and a large table for us to have family evening meals on. There was a small courtyard towards the rear of the property but we didn't go out there as we didn't have time. Perfect location in Tenby town centre and parking for three cars available. We would love to go back some time.

The property is in a good position, walking distance to restaurants and the beaches.

Was perfect for my large family of 14 and more than enough beds and bathrooms to make sure everyone felt comfortable. Literally a 2-3 minute walk away from Tenby centre and 7 minute walk from the beach, perfect location!

We had a fantastic family holiday staying at the hideaway house, it suited the needs of us all, grandparents, children and grandchildren.

It was refreshing to visit a beautifully clean, spacious, well maintained and furnished house. We have already rebooked for next year.

An amazing property that was perfect for a large group it’s in a great location that meant we able to make the most of Tenby.

We particularly liked the large communal spaces in the kitchen and living room that were comfortable and very homely. All the bedrooms were well sized and with a large group there are lots of bathrooms. The hosts were also fantastic and really responsive to any questions. Already booked again for next year!

Great place to stay so close to centre.

Everything clean and spotless and owners only a phone call away .Great communication and very helpful. Lovely people. Big plus plenty of room to park cars for free.

Lovely house and Gareth was very responsive to my texts.

It would benefit from a downstairs toilet (although we knew this on booking) We were a bit disappointed with the outside area. It was quite small for such a large property and fairly depressing to be honest. We wanted a barbecue but we didn't bother in the end. Great location and parking and close to all the amenities.

A fantastic unbelievably spacious and comfortable property which was very clean and had ample bathrooms and really comfortable beds. We had a really relaxing time celebrating a family birthday and although the weather was not great the house and its games room and generous lounge meant that we had great fun and a great holiday together. It was lush! Diolch yn fawr. Minor points -the curtains were a bit thin letting a lot of light in which meant that the children were getting up early and there was no downstairs toilet.

Fabulous property, has everything you need!

Perfect for 3 families. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Location perfect for Tenby and plenty to do in the surrounding areas too. Only one tiny thing which could be improved is the living room sofas.

..what an amazing house...everything we needed and more...its out of this world We were 3 families with children all ages it was perfect. The space for the children and adults and the attic room was amazing for the children with their own living room and bathroom Would definitely stay here again

What an amazing weekend spent at Hideaway House with friends!

The property was in an ideal location, set in a quiet courtyard but also close to the town and beach. The property itself was immaculate and well equipped. Every bedroom was spacious, with very comfortable beds. The owners were very helpful and we greatly appreciated the tea, coffee etc. that was left for our arrival. We are already looking forward to our next stay. Would highly recommend.

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful seaside town.

W e were vey close to all amenities. Great restaurants and pubs in a town with a really welcoming atmosphere. Who needs to go abroad when there is everything you need this close to home.

The location of the property was perfect, close to restaurants, bars, the beach & supermarkets.

The entire house was described and pictured perfectly and so much space for a large group of friends to stay. We had an amazing time staying here and would definitely consider coming back again if we were coming back to Tenby. The hosts were amazing to contact with very fast responses and so kind. 100% recommend this place for a large group!

We had a great time in the Hideaway in Tenby.

A wonderful house for all ages! It suited our grown up children and grand-child, as well working for our retired friends who also joined for a holiday. Tenby is delightful and Hideaway is well located so that once you park the car, you can walk to the beach and shops for a relaxed getaway.

The house is stunning and spotlessly clean.

It a short walk to the centre and beach so perfect location. Having parking spaces for 3 cars is great and made things a lot easier. The WiFi was great and worked well throughout the house. Everyone in our party commented on how comfortable the beds were. The living room had plenty of space and big sofas to accommodate all of us. The dining area was also great with space for us all to eat together. The only criticisms I have are that the advert states a garden, there isn’t a garden it’s a tiny courtyard that having 4 people in is a squash. The request to strip all the beds and put all the bedding and all towels into a laundry bag is valid and I always strip the beds when leaving a property, however I feel that expecting guests to strip 10 beds and then be checked out by 9:30 is too early. When we were packing the car the owners were outside, the gentleman took time to talk to my husband yet the lady didn’t even acknowledge him. When you’re relying on guests to recommend your house a little courtesy wouldn’t go amiss!

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying at the Hideaway House we are a party of 10 ages ranging from 2 upto 75.

The house is brilliant plenty of space , the only thing I would want would be a toilet on the ground floor . Ideal location for walking into the town , we will definitely book again. Thank you for a great week

What an amazing property!

! We stayed for a family & friends weekend for my husband’s 50th birthday (including the Harbour Hideaway property). Bedroom and communal area sizes were huge, location in Tenby was brilliant, and the weather was fantastic. Noted on the reviews before our stay that a downstairs toilet would have been useful - didn’t think I’d agree, but actually with children staying, it would have been good! Feedback from all who stayed was overwhelmingly positive, and absolutely would look to book again for a large group.

Perfect location. Good communication, a small issue was resolved immediately. I would definitely stay again.

Great property, perfect location to be slightly out of the Tenby crowds but close enough to go in and out to beaches/shops/cafés on foot a few times a day.

Huge spacious bedrooms and lots of bathrooms. Gorgeous big kitchen and dining area. Would be brilliant if a downstairs loo could be fitted in somewhere - might be an issue with small children and anyone who might struggle with a set of stairs every time. Hosts were really responsive when we had a few questions about bringing a toddler. Good travel cot provided. Would love to see an extra stair gate or two but otherwise perfectly manageable and our group had a wonderful time in lovely Tenby. We would book here again.

We stayed at Hideaway house on 9th dec for a long weekend away with friends and our children.

Our first time staying and we were so glad we booked! Location was amazing, everything we needed within walking distance. Great base for exploring nearby places but also perfect for staying put. Best of both worlds! We were left tea, coffee, milk, plenty of basics which was such a lovely touch, everything was spotless too. Large rooms, lovely and spacious for our 'home alone' size group! The christmas tree was up and some decorations too, more would have been amazing! Everything was great, the only drawback for me was the sofa needs upgrading, the size was excellent plenty of places for people to sit. Very minor, disnt affect the holiday at all, and in icy weather the driveway was very slippery, a simple salt/gritbox outside would have helped, we couldve gritted it ourselves, useful feedback, we would've been happy to do that every evening. We loved our stay that much we booked again for next year! Great hosts, very helpful and friendly. Fantastic house!

The Hideaway house was lovely and in a fantastic location.

The town of Tenby is stunning and the house is so close we did not get into the car once. We were a group of 11 adults, ranging from 20 to 80 years old. The house is massive and easily accommodated us all without feeling crowded. The kitchen was amazing for cooking, chatting and eating. The only negative is that there is no loo downstairs so for elderly or little ones it is quite a trek upstairs, and I think this should be made a bit clearer in the description. However, we managed and all-in-all we had a great time!

It was very comfortable for all of us. Plenty of space to relax, a lovely 2 minute walk into Tenby. Definitely one to return to

I hadn’t realised when booking that other properties were attached to the large main building.

This made a difference late at night because the noise from the property I.e. fire doors slamming, water pipes running, floor boards creaking and people talking loudly was a nuisance. It was also disturbing when people were in the garden after midnight having a very noisy time.

This is a great property in a great location, it was spotlessly clean and well furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Would highly recommend this property which is suitable for both families and groups to enjoy the many delights that Tenby and the surrounding area has to offer.

We stayed at the hideaway on 25-27th Feb and we had the best weekend ever celebrating my 30th birthday.

The location is perfect, it's within walking distance of the town. The house itself was so clean and spacious. The owner was lovely and dropped off a bottle of non alcoholic prosecco because I was pregnant. We would definitely come back and stay again.

The Christmas decorations were fabulous. There were a couple of hiccups but they were dealt with both swiftly and satisfactorily. We would love to go back.

I stayed at the hideaway for a family get away and it was amazing , the house was perfect for us all , had everything we needed , the hosts were very helpful and the location is perfect its literally a 5 minute walk into tenby town , only thing i would say is the top family room on the 2nd floor could benefit from a double bed and 2 singles rather that 4 singles but apart from that its a perfect holiday house .

Great house with plenty of space. Everything in Tenby is within walking distance. Single gripe, from the women, is a lack of mirrors in the bedrooms. Particularly difficult when drying and straightening hair.

One negative was there was no full length mirrors in the bedrooms or mirrors near sockets to dry/straighten hair , i had to put little table from lounge in our master bedroom along with my little magnifyong mirror and sit on the floor...it has so much wardrobe space that they could easily of accommodated a dressing table and stool, as nowhere to put face creams / makeup/ brushes! This was the theme in all the bedrooms except a small area in the loft area. Would stay at one of the Hideaway properties again though as Tenby is a great place to visit and it is a very nice property.

Absolutely beautiful house!

Couldn’t ask for anything more. As well as the house being perfect, the location is perfect also, secluded but also a short walk away from the town. Would definitely recommend.

Tenby is great.

Overall this is an ideally located property with parking and only the 10 mins walk to the centre of Tenby.

This was the main reason we booked it. Both North and South beaches are approx 15 mins walk. Set over 3 floors it is ideal accommodation for families with a large downstairs area both in the kitchen and living room. Having stayed in many holiday lets there are a few issues that let the property down, but should not detract from the overall experience. The living room was excellent and we made full use of the (small) Table Tennis table. As an observation the kitchen has too much storage even for a large family group. All the often used items, kettle, fridge, dishwasher or all in one corner. One other important issue was the lack of a downstairs toilet, my elderly mother found it hard going up and down the stairs and the property generally is not suitable for disabled people. Upstairs the main bathroom is a good size, but could have done with a shower screen / proper shower. Master bedroom is enormous, with (in my opinion) too many cupboards but nowhere for my wife to do her hair and makeup. The ensuite shower mixer is back to front and care has to be taken as glass screen is not fixed and leaks. The top floor is ideal for children and they can be tucked away or for 2nd family living space. The outside sitting area is small, but not a major issue for us. Overall a very well presented property and despite the concerns we would consider booking the Hideaway again.

The house was extremely spacious and met our requirements completely.

Hideaway House was a great place to celebrate my 50th.

The whole place was very spacious and kept to a high standard. The facilities were excellent and only 5 minutes walk to Tenby town centre and beach. With over three generations, everyone had a fantastic time. Brilliant!

Only a small dishwasher for 14 people.

A large house with only 2 tvs. There was one pictured in 4 bed room. When enquired where it was - was told it was broken a few weeks before. Disappointing as this was obviously kids room. No vacuum cleaner or mop just dustpan and brush - bonus - no cleaning! Could have done with a chair in the bedrooms as clothes had to be left on floor. Other than that well equiped house with nearly everything you could want. Location was exvellent and so easy to walk to town and beach. Would go again.

We had a fantastic holiday and staying at the hideaway was the perfect location and accommodation to suit our needs .

The welcome pack was a lovely surprise, nice to have a cup of tea straight away . The location meant that the cars didn’t have to be used . If anyone wanted anything fetching from the house whilst at the beach it was a short walk away. We have no hesitation in recommending this property. We have stayed with Sykes in the past and will continue to do so.

Hideaway house is huge!

We had 4 adults and 5 kids and was still lots of space. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms and most have dressing area too. The location of the house was spot on. Few mins from the nearest shops and and couple more minutes more to the beaches.

Hideaway house was all you could expect for a lovely holiday home.

It was near to the town and beach. One thing that would have been good was to have a toilet downstairs but we knew that there wasn't one when we booked it. The owners were good when we couldn't fix something. Everything was clean. It was really homely. We were able to get out and about easily. All in all a great holiday.

The house and facilities are fantastic.

Lots of space, lovely and comfortable, worked like a dream for 10 people. We did feel that the dishwasher could have been bigger and that a half size dishwasher in a kitchen that size, catering for up to 14 people was daft. We had to do an awful amount of washing up!!!! There were also complaints about the double beds being very uncomfortable and unexpected! King size beds these days are the norm and the double beds were spongy and the occupants rolled into the middle! Not ideal for sleeping! Apart from these details it was a great holiday and the position of the house for walking into Tenby was great and Tenby itself is beautiful and the beaches fantastic. Hideaway house was an absolutely stunning property, every little thing was thought of for our stay and it was extremely hard to leave as we all felt at home.

We went with mothers, daughter and aunties and it truly was such a wonderful relaxing but fun filled weekend! Perfect location and hidden away quite nicely

A brilliant location right in the heart of tenby. Great entertaining spaces with high quality fittings. The owners are very attentive and helpful leaving a lovely welcome pack and being on call if we did have any issues. We cannot wait to return to the house. A fabulous holiday had by all ages.
