South Beach at The Hideaway

We had an excellent stay at South Beach Hideaway.

The accommodation was very comfortable, clean and easy to find. We found the location ideal to walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommended Hideaway to our friends as well as stay again ourselves.

The Hideaway, is a wonderful place to stay.

It is in a perfect location and a delight to have your own parking space. The town is a short walking distance away. The accommodation is perfect for four people and has plenty of space. Thank you for the pleasure and definitely would stay there again.

Lovely clean apartment in a great location within walking distance of the beaches, harbour and shops.

The private parking space was invaluable.

We had a lovely week at "The Hideaway ", exploring the coast and countryside surrounding Tenby.

The apartment was comfortable, the bed was excellent

The apartment was very clean and tidy with all the modern appliances you need - a real home from home.

The on-site parking is a great advantage but if you are of an older generation with a few disability problems (like my wife and I are) then you should consider the following:- The dining area is a breakfast bar style with stools rather than chairs that can be difficult to access, The shelves and cupboards are rather high off the ground that can be difficult to access if you of a short stature. The two sofas whilst very comfortable are very low from which we had extreme difficulty in getting out of. Finally the pathway from the apartment to the main road is extremely difficult to walk on - although I believe this may not be the owners responsibility. These are just points to consider in what is generally a very good apartment in a good location in which to explore Pembrokeshire.

Immaculately clean cottage.

Very quiet location, good parking. Mattress very hard, but each to their own. Both toilet seats broken. Very compact cottage but had everything you could need.

This is the first time I’ve left a poor review, but feel if I don’t mention things, nothing will change.

The king size mattress is quite hard. The settees are very low & sink in a long way. Fortunately we had brought 2 garden chairs with us. Very little crockery, just 4 of each item. The dishwasher smelt disgusting, probably not been used for ages. The shower rooms were very small & the shower curtain stuck to you in use. Could do with somewhere to put shower gel, shampoo etc in the cubicle. On the plus side the proximity to Tenby centre & the parking space were an advantage.

Small problem with lounge radiator which was dealt with immediately!

Excellent service. Wifi hit and miss but other than that a fantastic stay. Will hopefully return Thank you

The Hideaway was perfect for our family of 4.

The location was ideal for a stroll into town for dinner or to visit the many, varied shops. And a day on the beach was an easy 5-10 minute walk. The accommodation had everything we needed and Tenby provided many fantastic places to eat. The parking space was an added bonus as we didn’t move the car most days. We stumbled across this little gem and had a lovely week in Wales. Thank you!

We never ever go back to the same place twice, but we may break our rule.

South Beach was a fabulous place to stay. Clean and well organised, quiet and so well situated. Just loved it.

The property is in a lovely position with a 3 minute walk into Tenby.

The bonus is the parking. The accommodation is comfortable and clean. The area is quiet. There is plenty of hot water and the showers are fabulous.

We recently had a wonderful stay at south beach , the set up there is perfect , we stayed in the smallest apartment on site which was more than adequate for our needs , wouldn’t hesitate to revisit with all the extended family & book the larger accommodation.

The owners are so helpful & the location with parking is perfect for exploring the area by car or leaving the car & walking into Tenby ( only takes 5 minutes ) , wouldn’t hesitate to make a return booking .

We had a great stay here - the parking space was a real bonus.

We enjoyed the Welsh cakes - thank you! The property was clean, well equipped and a lovely quiet and peaceful place to stay, within close distance to plenty of places to visit!

We found the property extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped.

The allocated parking space close to the front door is a bonus and all the attractions of Tenby are within easy walking distance of the apartment. One small issue with the lack of a non-slip mat for the show units but the owner Gareth will remedy that. Would certainly stay at the property again when we return to Tenby.

South Beach at Hideaway is ideally located, has its own parking, is clean and cosy and is lovely and quiet.

The kitchen area is fine apart from an eye level shelf with very dangerous corners as my forehead discovered. The bedrooms are good and the layout is fine. Unfortunately the designer of the small bathroom must have had previous experience in the aviation industry as it dreadfully cramped. The sink is tiny and has a mirror above which stands out quite away leaving an even smaller sink area. Frankly, I gave up and washed and cleaned my teeth in the kitchen sink. The shower was excellent though.

Very comfortable, well equipped appartment.

Convenient for town & all amenities as within walking distance. Designated parking space is an added bonus.

Fantastic find - apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our first stay in Tenby.

The location was perfect and a car parking space a bonus. Detailed communication provided and owner responded very quickly to additional request on arrival.

Happy with everything about the accommodation and the perfect location.

Only thing is which is feedback and certainly not a complaint that I would have been happy to vacuum the floors but no vacuum cleaner and was confused about what to do with recycling. Left it in the apartment but didn’t recycle as much as I would usually do because didn’t want to leave a big pile. Also directions said Five Roads petrol station but didn’t appear to be named that so took a wrong turning and had to turn back on ourselves so maybe update directions. Honestly though really happy with apartment and would definitely recommend and book again so thank you!!

Good stay, comfortable and well equipped.

Good to have parking so close to Tenby.

Great location with added bonus of a parking space.

Nice and clean and ‘welcome pack’ most appreciated. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely property, big enough for two teenage kids.

Had a minor problem but was sorted quickly and efficiently. Would love to come back again. Only thing that would have been useful was more storage in the bunk room, either shelves in the wardrobe or a set of drawers.

Lovely property, lovely place and location really enjoyed our stay.

We would highly recommend staying there,we have booked next year's holiday there already can't wait to be back there.

The Location was perfect and the property was very well presented with all the equipment and facilities we needed.

The fire doors were quite heavy, and this was awkward for us as we had a two year old and a seven year old with us. We struggled to relax on the sofas as they were very low and too soft for our liking. There wasn't much ventilation in the bedrooms, as the windows were very small and the shower head in our bathroom kept tilting down as we showered. One other thing was that the travel cot provided had no mattress or bedding and we had to request a blanket for the little one. We found that we had to turn the power socket off for the cooker as the little one kept turning all the dials.

South Beach at The Hideaway was a superb base for our holiday in Tenby.

The good location near to the town and beaches, and good access to routes out of Tenby to other places was very convenient. The allocated parking space was a huge benefit in a town where parking is limited. Everything in the apartment was well thought out and worked well. Our only comment would be that the kitchen had very limited cupboard space and the saucepans were stored on very high shelf which made them difficult to access if you weren't very tall. An excellent stay !

I feel that this apartment was very very overpriced.

We’ve stayed in Tenby lots of times and expect more for £1557. We have no problem paying the amount and we holiday 4x each year in the uk, however, I do feel that this apartment should be around £1000. Just some examples; the shower door has been replaced with a shower curtain, the kettle pops up when it boils and spills. Quite a cheap kettle. I also think the heavy fire doors should be mentioned in the listing as my two small children were constantly trapped in the rooms. The late check in and early check out, are also an issue as we are now out of Covid times why necessary. As stated I do not have a problem paying £1550 for a holiday, I just expect higher quality, I will not be using skescottages or this apartment again.

Really good place, close to centre of town and all facilities

A very handy and comfortable apartment with a large plus on the parking.

Points to raise with the owners, and they are very minor, a chest or dressing table in the main bedroom would allow jumpers etc to be put away, a clock in the lounge and to reduce the strength of the door returns.

We had a great stay, the apartment was very clean, warm, equipped for self catering.

The location was brilliant, a few minutes walk to the centre of Tenby, ideal for restaurants, beaches, pubs and shops. We will recommend the apartment to family/friends if thinking of staying in Tenby and we will return. Thank you Emily and Gareth

Lovely apartment in a great location, well equipped with everything you need.

Spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable and in a very convenient location.

Looking forward to returning soon!

Excellent standard of accommodation, but very expensive taking into it was off season and not school holidays.

Lovely apartment in a great location.

Loads to do in and around Tenby

The Hideaway in Tenby was really comfortable, clean and cosy, the hosts have made a lovely peaceful home-from-home.

We will certainly want to book again.

We’ve had a lovely stay here.

Very comfortable, spotless apartment, modern with every convenience. Good location for short walk into centre of Tenby and beaches. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby and further afield and we really loved the countryside.

Very prompt response to a maintenance issue.

Excellent location for a UK staycation. Very close to town centre but without the noise. We were blessed with great weather too. Will definitely be returning.

South Beach at The Hideaway is a lovely apartment.

It would suit a family of four but was also great for my friend and I with 2 bedrooms and en suite allowing for privacy. It is well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday and a huge bonus is an allocated parking space right outside your door. Location is great just a short walk from shops, restaurants and beaches. Tenby is a beautiful little town with stunning beaches and a boat trip to Caldy Island is a must. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and look forward to returning. Highly recommended.

The apartment has an excellent location right in the centre of Tenby.

The apartment was clean and ready for our visit as anticipated. In terms of facilities, there were a couple of issues which if available would have been useful. The main bathroom had no bathroom cabinet which would have been useful for putting things in. The second bedroom which consisted of bunk beds had virtually no wardrobe space. In the kitchen area, there was no cupboard space to store good, which given the self catering nature of the apartment seemed odd. In summary the apartment is fine for two or a family with small children, and offers excellent access to Tenby.

Lovely property, extremely clean.

.. Couldn't fault it. The bed was very comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Perhaps would have preferred the kitchen to have had some chairs at the breakfast bar instead of stools. That was only a minor detail and it was because as you get older you need something a bit more comfortable.!! The location was fantastic an easy short walk into the centre. Tenby is a lovely town too, so thank you to the owners for making our holiday so pleasurable.

Very comfortable apartment.

Well provided - 2 shower rooms/toilets, washing machine, dishwasher plus the usual cooker/microwave and utensils. All sheets and towels provided (not beach towels). Great location close to the town centre (short walk) but very quiet. Parking space immediately outside. ground floor accommodation.

We have been going to Tenby for a few years now and never new the hideaway was there, we was so amazed by the hideaway, the holiday home was so homely and comfortable, it had everything you could think of or needed.

it was only 5 minute walk to town (not even that). The home was well heated when we entered. We did not want to leave. We will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic holiday home everything you could ask for first class

The property was clean tidy all facilities on site there was also tea coffee sugar bread milk butter and jam awaiting our arrival and plenty of information in the welcome pack

Dealing with Sykes was easy and we had no problems at all

Great location close to shops and beach.

Nice to be able to simply stroll into Tenby without the hassle of having to find a parking spot. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable with everything you needed. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, enabling us to all have a cup of tea after a long journey. Our children have already asked if they could come again.

Wonderful holiday home for our family of four.

Lovely facilities and perfect location for exploring Tenby. Would love to visit again x

The convenience and close proximity to town and the beach made this an ideal choice for us to stay it also feels very secure tuck away from the main road with ample parking .

I LOVE visiting Tenby .Emily was very helpful over the phone when I rang for the keys.I arrived by train with just a short walk from the station. I would recommend the hideaway for a most enjoyable stay . Thank you Julie x

Lovely apartment in excellent location, very warm and cosy.

Only drawback was lack of storage space - no where to put toiletries in bathroom, no spare cupboard space in kitchen

Tenby is a beautiful place with lots to do for families and the South beach hideaway was in the perfect location for every thing we wanted.

We will definitely be going back there again.

We had a super time at 'The Hideaway' , very comfortable , modern and cosy.

Tenby is just wonderful - and it is more wonderful when you have your own private parking space and are just a stroll away from town.

Accomodation just minutes walk from town centre situated off road and extremely quiet.

Off road parking space provided. Tenby is a great place for exploring the wider area - Walk from Saundersfoot to Wiseman Bridge is very nice and easily walked.

Great experience from start to finish.

The booking process was easy, the cottage was exactly as advertised and in such a great location. The information supplied by Sykes & the owners was helpful including the money off offers which we took advantage of! Thank you for such a great holiday and experience.

Great location, very well equipped, definitely worth another visit, only one minor criticism, a lack of outside space just sit out on a nice evening.

But this would definitely not stop me returning , and would probably stay a bit longer next time

Our acomodation was ideal and suited our needs.

In which we found great as one of our party had difficulty in walking far. The appartment was comfortable and the welcome pack was appreciated. Yes we would certainly consider using Sykes cottages again

Met one of owners very friendly and helpful, very handy for towncentre

The Hideaway is definitely a 'hidden gem'.

A clean and comfortable apartment which is so quiet and peaceful yet within walking distance of the beach, harbour and shops, cafes and bars. Would recommend it and certainly return!

Amazing location, excellent facilities, super clean.

.. we will definitely be returning!
