The village of Llanddewi-Brefi is situated in the town of Ceredigion, a historical village of religious significance, dating back to the 7th century. Nestled in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains at the intersection of several valleys, it provides the village with its unique layout. There is always a warm welcome at the local public houses, shop and local bed and breakfast establishments. The area is of extraordinary natural beauty, with footpaths along the old Drovers lanes, local rivers up into the Cambrian Mountains, and is also home to celebrated craft and food producers. Climb Pumlumon to the highest of its five summits for unbroken views as far as the mountains of Snowdonia and Llyn Peninsula to the north, and the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire to the south. Just over 20 miles away is the delightful, chocolate-box seaside town of Aberystwyth, home to Vale of Rheidol Railway, Aberystwyth Castle, Aberystwyth Cliff Railway and Devils Bridge Falls, a world famous tourist attraction featuring truly unique waterfalls in the Rheidol Gorge.
