After parking in the handy space, descend the stairs to the lovely dwelling and venture inside to be welcomed by hues of creams and blue.
The living/dining room is a spacious area and is perfect for gathering the group together, to watch a family-favourite on the TV; the close-by dining table seats up to eight and is ideal for when you want to have guests over for dinner.
Progress through to the kitchen with its vibrant, teal tiling and ample appliances, including a handy washing machine and dishwasher.
After spending quality time with your group, out and about or unwinding at home, make your way to bed in the pretty double room with its reminiscent seaside theme and accompanying en-suite shower room; a sofa bed can be found in the living/dining room to sleep more guests.
The family bathroom is a superb spot to relax in, with its bath with shower over.
In the morning, sit out on the sunny terrace with its swing seat and other abundant seating options, or make your way down to the enchanting woodland backing onto the property and sit amongst the beautiful flower beds and foliage on the secluded decking.
Saundersfoot is home to all your amenities, so if you're not feeling like cooking, the area has you covered with several eateries, including the popular HARBWR Bar & Kitchen and The Boat House.
Your coastal delights begin here, head down to Saundersfoot Harbour where the kids can partake in a multi-activity watersports club, or venture to the beach to try your hand at paddle boarding and coasteering; the village rests by the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which is perfect for those excursion enthusiasts!
Travel south to the town of Tenby and explore ruins of the once-glorious castle, go golfing at the local club or hike to St. Catherine's Island, before relaxing on one of the town's handful of beaches.
The county town of Pembroke makes for a fabulous outing, take the family to the fortress of Pembroke, surrounded by Mill Pond and home to numerous exhibitions and guided tours, there is also Pembroke Museum and the close-by Pembroke Dock Heritage Museum - where you can learn of the town's local and maritime history.

Had a great time- the large living room was perfect for our 6 month old who was just learning to crawl- she had loads of space to explore!
Kitchen was reasonably well stocked and if we needed anything extra we just messaged Karen and she brought it straight down (large pan for a risotto, extra dishwasher tabs, clingfilm etc). Outside spaces are also lovely if we'd had a drier week suspect we'd have spent lots of time in the garden too!

Beautiful accommodation, very spacious and immaculate.
Lovely seaside theme throughout the apartment. Very well appointed kitchen and very spacious lounge, bathroom and en-suite. Beautiful gardens surrounding the apartment with our own private patio. Wonderful situation in quite setting, easy to walk into Saundersfoot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only one thing to highlight is the steep access down steps to the apartment if you have mobility issues! Karen and Paul are wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks.

If you like to be overwhelmed with Chemicals like parabens or benzyl alcohol, Volatile Organic Compounds that can include trace amounts of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, benzene, and toluene then this is the place for you.
Thank you for your review. You informed me you had put the air freshener out in the shed not for it to be a problem. You commented on it being overwhelming for 2 rooms!!! The accommodation comprises of a shower room, a bathroom, a kitchen, a hallway and a lounge and bedroom.....that amounts to 6 areas making up the total accommodation. People with allergens usually inform prior to visiting. I take it you won't be returning, People visiting Pembrokeshire on foot have a problematic time with public transport unfortunately, especially if you are in retirement. We wish you a happy life on your narrow boat and hope it's cleaner than you left our beautiful property
Lovely annex with beautiful outlook to the rear and outdoor space to relax ,weather permitting .
The apartment is spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Location is great for local walks and its only a short walk to saundersfoot to local cafes and bars etc . Would highly reccomend this place to everyone .The only downside is the steep steps down to the annex ,which weren't a Problem for us but wouldn't suit someone with mobility issues . Otherwise a perfect place

Accomodation at Charlecote House is very spacious,beautifully presented and well equiped,both inside and out.
Having its own private patio area with garden furniture and access to a wonderful garden with fruit trees and a stream running through it. It is indeed an oasis where a restful time can be had when returning from the small but busy harbour town of Saundersfoot. All in all an excellent holiday was had and we will return given the opportunity.

We had a wonderful week staying at Charlecote House with our two children.
From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, comfortable and incredibly well equipped. It really felt like a home away from home. We had everything we needed for a family stay! There was plenty of space and thoughtful little touches that made us feel welcome. The location was ideal – peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to explore all that saundersfoot and the local area has to offer. Travelling with children can be stressful, but Charlecote House made our holiday so much easier. We all felt relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay. The owners we wonderful and very helpful throughout our stay! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend Charlecote House to families or anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located place to stay. A lovely annex that is clean and very well maintained, the garden area is beautiful and the birdsong is very calming.
The hosts are welcoming and available if needed but non intrusive. Saundersfoot is a 15min stroll away through a leafy trail to the town centre, the food was fabulous and the sea view is stunning. All in all this was the best holiday we have been on and the best accommodation we have stayed in

You still keep calling the property Charlecote House, but it’s an annex down 13 steep steps at the back of the property.
The house is occupied by the owner, as are the gardens. All that was with the annex was a square of artificial grass, not even a pot with flowers in. As we’re both in our 80s, we found it very difficult coming and going. Not the best of holidays.
Sorry you had a disappointing stay contrary to the other 68 reviews. Charlecote house is a detached 4 bedroom property in its own grounds and all bedrooms are located downstairs on the first floor hence the steps off our driveway for access. All bedrooms are served by a wrap around veranda consisting of paving stones. The largest outside area 20 meters by 30 meters is accessed from our holiday accommodation. AstroTurf was used to cover the paving stones for greater client comfort. Previous attempts to put out plant pots were unsuccessful due to holiday makers enjoying themselves and not thinking about watering them. . This holiday annex has its own access and the extensive patio area outside is elevated from the garden and served by 3 sets of garden furniture and a small shed housing all the cushions for the outdoor facilities. We have a large 1/3 acre award winning garden full of flowers plants and an extensive woodland with stream and a decking area for guests use.... you were made aware of using our garden as all guests are. Many reviews refer to how lovely, spacious and airy the accommodation is with both rooms having patio doors out onto the veranda. perhaps you need to look closer at the description of the accommodation and reviews to ensure you make right choices when booking a holiday in future. Sykes clearly state our accommodation is not suitable for people with mobility issues. Charlecote house is called so....because it's a large detached property in its own grounds and the annex is clearly part of one property......2 of its downstairs bedrooms on a different wing to the owners accommodation and the access is not at the rear it is on the side of the property. Why call 2 bedrooms by a different name??? Nothing changes our regular customers know it so well....... Charlecote house a wonderful place to stay

We enjoyed our stay at Charlecote House, finding a cosy and clean property with comfortable sofa's and bed.
The garden is lovely and quiet, had the weather been drier we would have been happy to sit outside on the garden furniture provided. The host was lovely and friendly and nearby if we needed anything. The property was quiet and relaxing and we would stay again. The short walk into Saundersfoot down a traffic free path was wonderful. The milk and biscuits were gratefully recieved, thank you.

The accommodation was immaculately clean. Friendly welcome from the owner who gave us some useful tips about the walk into town and the local area. The property is an annexe of the owners, but has its own steps accessing the accommodation and its own outdoor area which was so quiet and beautiful surroundings. Well equipped kitchen, with a new air fryer which we found useful. The property felt airy and spacious. It’s an easy walk into the town/beach. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We stayed for a week in June at this property.
Everything was lovely and clean. It had every facility you could ever need, including outdoor furniture. The property benefited from sun, most of the day. It was a short 10 easy walk into Saundersfoot, along a gravel path, so no cars, with the bus into Tenby at the top of the road. The owners are lovely and very friendly. Highly recommended, and we would go back.

The property was very comfortable.
Gardens and the garden furniture was great when we sat out. . Lack of room to put provisions we had brought and no butter knife. Owners always available if we had problems. Ideal for 2 persons.

The annexe was very clean, quiet peaceful and relaxing but still only a short walk to the harbour (Approx 10 mins) which had plenty of amenities and eateries.

This was a great place to stay, it was only a short walk to the shops and the beach, and was on on a very quiet street.
Karen was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed several walks from here with only one day of rain. The accommodation was very warm and clean and we would definitely recommend this.

Fantastic property.
We absolutely loved the outdoor space especially. Short walk into Saundersfoot and to the beach. Property was comfortable with lots of space for our daughter to play. The owners were friendly and helpful. WiFi was good, off road parking a big bonus. We will definitely be returning!

The cottage was beautifully clean with a lovely outdoor space and the owner very welcoming.
The only reason I have given a 4 and not 5 star is that we found the bed uncomfortable. I think it could do with a topper or the mattress replacing. Also the property is described as having steep steps, it does indeed but the photo shows the steps from guest area to the garden, not the very steep steps to the actual property. We read the description, saw the steps to the garden and assumed these were the ones described and thought oh they’re ok. So maybe a photo showing the actual steps would be helpful. Having said that we had a great week and Charlecote House is lovely.

The owner was very friendly and met us to show us around the property and explained where everything was and how they worked.
Impressed with cleanliness of the property and all the facilities. Was surprised that we were unable to turn the heating on and off, but this was not too much of a problem. The photograph used to advertise the property is very misleading as it shows the front of the owners property and not the property you are renting but the pictures of the inside shown where of the rented property.

There are actually 2 pictures online of the outside patio area where your entrance is situated, 2 patio windows depicting where your lounge and bedroom are situated! As we are one single dwelling, I am aware that the heating is controlled by us upstairs however I always ensure you are aware heating can be provided anytime by a quick text. We are so pleased you were impressed by the facilities and cleanliness and overall accommodation.

This is a very spacious & comfortable holiday accommodation, very well equipped, it even has an air fryer!
! We enjoyed being able to walk down into Saundersfoot which is a lovely seaside town with a huge sandy beach & harbour area too. Karen & Paul made us very welcome and gave us useful local information & where to visit. If the weather had been better we would have been able to enjoy the patio & garden more than we did, but we still enjoyed the peaceful location. We’d definitely stay here again if we decide to visit Pembrokeshire again in the future.

We arrived to a warm welcome from the owner who showed us around.
We came down some very steep steps (just be careful if you have small children) to the patio garden which was lovely and well equipped. We then went inside the hall way to your left was a very open living room/dining and kitchen with a bathroom just off at the far end of the the room. To your right was a bedroom and en suite. We wasn't too sure how we were going to do the sleeping arrangements so took an airbed with us. But our 6 year old ended up having the bedroom to himself. My husband and myself tried to sleep in the sofa bed but didn't find it very comfortable so just slept on the sofa instead. The walk down into Saundersfoot was very easy to do if you didn't have a pram or a trolly full of beach stuff. Our child is autistic and we often take his special needs buggy out with us which was hard to do along this off the road path down to the beach. It was even harder pushing him back up on the path. It's quite a steep hill down into Saundersfoot itself. We decided to come home early, if it was just me and my husband we would of definitely stayed but the thought of a 6 hour car journey home and the weather not looking particularly nice for our sons birthday we came home on the Wednesday. All in all we would would recommend staying here. And we loved using the airfryer so much we bought ourselves one when we got back!
Thank you for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us. I am sorry you were not able to get your families sleeping arrangements quite right. Our booking said for 2 adults and a teenager. We were not made aware of any special needs. Unfortunately the steps are steep but they have anti slip bars and a substantial handrail. There is a lane that leads down into Saundersfoot for quicker access but alternatively you are able to either to walk down the main road, use your car or the regular bus service. Saundersfoot is a seaside resort and all roads and lanes lead in a downward direction to the sea. Thank you for his birthday picture opening our gift. Glad you arrived home safely.

Very spacious property, light & well equipped. The owners are a lovely couple, extremely helpful & there if you needed them. The property is situated a short walk from Saundersfoot (10 mins) with harbour, beach & all amenities. Other beaches/walks can be reached by a short drive. Would definitely recommend this property and would love to return.

A very clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation, ideally situated to explore this corner of Wales.
Saundersfoot, with all of its attractions, pubs and restaurants, is only a short walk away. The private terrace at Charlecote House enjoys evening sunshine, and provides an ideal spot from which to enjoy the garden. Hosts Karen and Paul and kind and helpful in every respect. We have stayed here twice, and look forward to returning.

This property was the best we’d stayed in, everything was perfect.
Very spacious and comfortable.We really enjoyed the outside area with different types of seating to choose from ,and just the sound of a stream and birds singing. Set in lovely peaceful surroundings and in an ideal place to use as a base .

The steps leading to the property may not suit somebody with mobility issues. Pleasant relaxing garden with lots of furniture. The hostess was extremely pleasant and helpful providing information on local amenities.

Lovely hosts who were very welcoming.
Property was well equipped with everything needed for our stay. Comfy and very spacious with beautiful outside area overlooking the garden. Located with an easy 10 minute walk into Saundersfoot. We will definitely stay here again.

10 min walk into Saundersfoot centre with its superb beach. Great base for exploring the area around and about. Would have no hesitation about returning.

The location of the property means no need to drive into the village.
Perfect as a base to walk part of the Pembrokeshire Coast Parh. Excellent accommodation with everything needed for the stay Hosts were most helpful for local information. Accommodation perfect condition and very clean and the outdoor area was perfect for relaxing. Highly recommended.

This property is superb, not only ideally located for exploring Pembrokeshire, but also idyllic in its setting.
The large and comfortable rooms lead on to a private patio, with views over the beautiful garden, which itself is bounded by a woodland stream. Saundersfoot is only a few minutes walk, but the property is in a very quiet setting,with the sound of the stream providing a backdrop to the sunny patio.Hosts Karen and Paul and kind and extremely helpful. My wife and I so enjoyed our stay that we have already booked again for next year. Highly recommended.

We have just enjoyed 2 very relaxing and peaceful weeks at Charlecote annex.
The apartment is superb. It is very spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. The patio garden looks over the owner’s spectacular garden: an infinity garden view. The location is perfect being just a 10-minute walk from Saundersfoot centre with its essential shops and many lovely restaurants, plus the beach and harbour. There is also easy access to the rest of Pembrokeshire to explore. The hosts are really lovely people, generous and welcoming. We would very much recommend.

We had a lovely week in Saundersfoot in Charlecote House.
The host met us at the door with a friendly greeting and made us feel at home immediately. She showed us all the facilities and gave us tips about the area eg where to eat, how to get to the village etc. The house was very spacious, light, airy and clean with everything we needed including dishwasher and washing machine which was very useful and had a great view onto the host's fabulous garden. There was secluded, outdoor seating area which you could make use of on a warm, summer's evening which is separate from the main garden. The house is located in a very is very peaceful cul-de-sac with easy walking distance to the village and beach. We would highly recommend this for a couples holiday in Pembrokeshire.

A very enjoyable stay in a very nice cottage annex with a beautiful garden.
It was very peaceful and quiet and there was acres of room for 2 people. 2 minor issues would be that there is not enough cutlery for 2 people if using the dishwasher and there are no hooks to hang wet clothes on.
Thank you for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us. There is a full set of cutlery in the drawers ( 6 forks, knives and spoons etc.) I didn't think 2 persons would need more? There are hooks behind the bathroom doors and in the bedroom. Thank you for your comments perhaps there should be hooks in the hallway also.
The accommodation is beautiful, and quiet with very comfortable furniture including the bed.
We were made to feel very welcome and knew we would have received every assistance had we needed it. The house has a wonderful outlook down through the gardens and an added bonus is that users of the accommodation can walk through the owners' garden to access the footpath which considerably shortens the walk in to Saundersfoot. The only thing perhaps worth passing on to the owner as a possible improvement is that because the TV is wall mounted we could not access any ports at the back of the set to add our device through which we could have streamed some media. There isn't an accessible HDMI port at the side and there is no DVD player either and so we only had live television which we haven't watched for years. We had to watch our streaming services on a small tablet.

I wish you had asked for assistance because my grandson stays and brings his PlayStation which is then plugged into the same television without problem. Many televisions are now wall mounted.
Lovely accommodation with plenty of space inside and out.
Good location for exploring the area and within walking distance of Saundersfoot. Clients should be aware that there are a dozen steep steps down to the annex. There is a handrail but the steps are difficult to negotiate when carrying luggage etc.
Charlecote House is a lovely property with excellent amenities and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The spacious property sits in its own private garden with well maintained garden furniture and accessories. The accommodation is fully equipped and has a nice seaside theme throughout. We enjoyed our stay at Charlecote House and hope to return.

Charlecote House is a beautiful property.
We were greeted so warmly by the property owners and shown around on arrival and made to feel right at home. Everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. The living room area is the highlight. it's so very spacious and was greatly appreciated by us as such a treat to spend time in as a family. The two bathrooms are well appointed with powerful showers. The kitchen had everything you could want for self catering. Bedroom is large with patio doors and a very comfortable bed. I usually find myself wakeful the first couple of nights in a new place but I honestly slept so soundly here. The sofa bed in the living room is more than adequate as a 2nd bed. The owners have covered the large patio area with Fake grass which makes for a really lovely setting with multiple seating/relaxing choices, even during a cool Easter break we spent a good amount of time out there. The added bonus is the owners stunning garden which you overlook, and the sound of the stream at the bottom of the garden.. Paradise! Saundersfoot Beach and harbour is just a 10 min walk away from the end of the road and the beach here is beautiful with Tenby not far away. This is the perfect base for any beach lovers holiday. The hosts made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and their warmth and kindness made this stay and extra special one.
